  • The push-up is an efficient exercise often used in strength workouts, and high-intensity training. But you don’t have to do push-ups with other activities to reap its many benefits. In fact, if you do push-ups every day, you’re likely to see changes in your fitness level, body strength, and even your overall health.
But what if you did 100 push-ups every day? What are the risks it poses to your body? Click play and find out more!

i've been doing 2 sets of 40 pushups daily for 4 years now, and now do 200 a day (in a row but not nonstop), and this is all totally cap. Muscle growth, weight loss and improvements to this scale are things which take time, and this sets unrealistic standards for people who dont understand/haven't tried before, often getting them to quit. some of these things are true like muscle fatigue, but the timescale doesnt make sense nor matters as it is a consistent thing

well i am 16 years old currently and i started doing pushups around half a year ago and i started with just 10 pushups at once and repeated those sets....i always tried to get a level above and surpass the previous record....its been 6 months and i am able to do 70 pushups at once which i think is not as much as shown in video but still i do experience these benefits like a good immune system, strong body, my biceps grew a lot and strong bones...if u are a beginner then i am saying u must try to make it a habit to always surpass your previous record....like i did!

Same here!, as some tips i give to you, if you gonna start doing 100 pushups a day, please do it every 2-3 (if it's still hurts even after it passed days from the workout, still rest the muscle until the pain goes away), so your muscles will be able to increase without problem (if you do not let your muscles rest correctly it will stop your muscle growth and it will need atleast 3 days of resting).
Also if you have a lot of fat's in your body try caloric deficit (eating less of what you usually eat a day), with time you will start losing weight.
btw i recomend you watching the video tutorial on how to do a correct pushup on athletean-x,
other's tips i'll give to you will be to sleep 8+ hours, eat healthy food, do not smoke or drink, and sorry for my bad english, hope you have a good day :)!

As someone who started and struggled to do 5 pushups in a day, to be able to do 190 in a day and 100 a day 5 days a week for months, it took a much, much, MUCH longer time to get there. I've done 500 pushups in 7 different variations, 150 regular dips, and 1000 crunches in 3 different variations followed by a few laps around my neighbourhood daily for 3 months and can barely do 84 standard pushups in a row.
The 100 pushup in a row easily part is definitely not true, especially in under 2 months. The others are true but not at the right time periods, and pushups are a well rounded exercise. They train calves and quads too. This is inaccurate with the times but some of them are true I guess.
After realising that the reason I could only do 84 pushups was wrist mobility, I did some wrist exercises for about a week and now I can do 130+. I will update you all on my maximum sooner or later.
New maximum is 194. Severe muscle strain and probably tore a muscle trying to reach 200.

training due to back problems, but will resume from tomorrow.

I’ve done 100 for a few days, but in sets of 10-30. Surprisingly soreness hasn’t been an issue so far, so going to keep increasing overall number and reps per set, or start adding weight. To be fair I do a lot of bench pressing and OHP so that surely has helped.

do lower amounts of reps (quantity) because it's better, but increase the intensity, Such as (here's an example) 3 sets of 12 push ups, but do them throughout the day if U do push ups, that's just an example, and you should do that with everything exercises but not at once, I recommend for U to do hit training or target training.

After 6 years of wrestling, I can do 67 pushups in a minute. I might be able to do more if I wasn’t a lazy bum.

My max currently is 25 push ups in one set
Day 1: got 40 in the morning, I’ll get the 60 later. Finished… I feel depleted, did a little cardio, now I’m going to take a shower
Day 2: A lot tougher than Day 1. I had hardly any energy to really do anymore than 15 reps at a time. Muscles were sore after day 1.
Day 3: Muscles are sore, but not incredibly so. Haven’t done one yet… finished 77 push ups, it’s honestly getting easier, I’m making sure I get good sleep to let my muscles recover. I did 23 more, finished, it was much easier today than yesterday.
Day 4: Recruited a friend to join me in this journey. Did 100 push ups, much easier, but my left shoulder and my chest had some temporary pain
Day 5: I’ve done 150 so far. 70 around 5pm, 80 during 9pm. My friend wants to skip training after yesterday and I’m trying to convince him to stick with it. If he ends up failing to do the reps, I’ll do 50 more with a total of 200
Day 6: Took a rest day
Day 7: I feel like my nervous system is fried, I did 45, I’m going to rest
    Day 8: rest day
Sorry to anyone who I let down, I will continue shortly, starting over from 0
I did get a shoulder injury
    Started over
Day 1: Bought 2 dumbbells for better range of motion, did 100 relatively easy. Some right shoulder pain, good chest pump

    What a hillarious video.
As if 100 pushups a day would effect the same people in the same way to begin with.
You make it sound like 100 pushups a day is some sort of bio hack to gain super powers (faster reaction time and increased brain blood flow? Noticeable changes after 7 days?) but its actually just an unbalanced routine.
People would be better off doing 3 sets of pushups to failure and progress how difficult the pushups. Throw in 3 sets of some sort of pulling exercise like body weight rows or pullups.
Once you can do 100 pushups comfortably than doing 100 pushups a day isn't going to help you progress unless you change something else about the exercise.

No bodybuilder does pushups to grow you need something along the lines of 10-20 sets weekly in a rep range of 6-12 withing 1-3 reps of failure each set. Also pushups do not work your biceps at all. Your also going through a serious plqcebo in terms of you perceived growth. Also you defintly eat McDonald's it's not good for you but it won't necessarily set back your muscle growth as long as you are getting enough protein which is 0.8-1 gram per pound of bodyweight.

Not true, your immune system wont get stronger after 5 days of doing push ups and also you wont notice any changes in the span of 1 or 2 weeks.Slight changes may appear after at least 1 month. Also, if you are a complete novice, you wont be able to hit 45 clean push ups IN A ROW after just 7 daying of exersicing(In a row means in one set). If you can do 45 in 1 set you can definitely do 500 push ups a day. Getting stronger and more defined takes time, you won't notice many changes in 2 months.

I think the best way for beginners is to start with your max reps every day. Then the second week do ten more, third week ten more than that, and so on. Don't go for 100 a day right from the start.

I decided to try this challenge but instead do 150 knee pushups for 30 days since it’s easier
3 sets of 50 knee pushups
Day 1, my muscle tendons hurt
Day 2, my muscle tendons hurt a bit less and my arms start feeling a bit stronger
Day 3, can feel some muscle building up in biceps and triceps
Day 4, got a bit used to doing knee pushups everyday, feel more muscle building up in the biceps and triceps, and my shoulders get a little bit bigger along with small amounts of noticeable muscle building on my upper stomach
Day 5, My trapezius muscles look/and are getting a lot stronger
