how to prepare papers and paint shades for islamic illumination /tezhip

can we use acrylic colours in illumination? like i always use watercolour or gauche but it is first time that I see acrylic. what paper we use for that? like for water color we use water color paper of different weights,so what specific paper we use for acrylics in illumination?

@syedtayyabulmazhar6945 I use acrylics on wood or canvas.. but acrylics don't give that neat effect as those r thick and upon dilution thos ebevome transparent... one need to be very patient while doing illumination with acrylic

Why do you use egg white what’s the reason?

I explained the reason in video... to keep pores closed so to reduce paint absorption.... this is water color paper that's y i just used egg white...if we work on muqhar paper thn muhallebi is prepared ..

I have learnt that we should use hot press 300gsm sheet ….. can normal sketch sheets be used in this art?

@mkartistry82 u can.... but that will have chance to wrinkle as those sheets aren't that thick and can't hold that much water and paint.

@mkartistry82 muhallebi is natural glue which is prepared in traditional tezhip art to paper pad.. muqhar is calligraphy paper... both of there are hand made.
