Ministers are leaders. They influence a team in achieving a goal. He may not necessarily be the one doing all the work but his subordinates. He job is to supervise, coordinate and form workable policy that bring positive change to his jurisdiction or field assigned to him.

China with over a billion in population have only 26 ministers running the country, let alone Ghana with 33 million with over 100 ministers providing minimum value to the country. 12 ministers is the way to go

People should note that ministers also include regional ministers ...16 of them....Government ministries need not be many ...the key ones are Finance ,Education ,Agriculture ,Health,Transport, interior ,foreign, environmental and resources , Trade, Sport, Tourism and Housing ...All others fall under these...
.what NKB didn't say is regional ministers...Is he taking them out and relying on DCEs and MCEs ? Personally we don't need regional ministers ... However journalists must ask for indept clarification ...

In Ghana, the citizens are usually the problem and not the leaders. What makes people think this 12 ministers' stuff is impossible to implement? This is more than feasible. We as a people should make it a point to pressure him to implement it when he comes to power. But as usual, the ordinary Ghanaian is corrupt and soaked with the idea of family and friends that we ourselves will try to push him not to implement that strategy.

Everyone who lacks a comprehensive understanding of organizational structure may never get this. Twelve (12) ministers is an absolutely brilliant approach. It creates clear lines for accountability and reduces rogue leaders out there working in silos and wasting money. Of course these ministers will oversee deputies to get all the work done, but things will be a lot more efficient and much less chaotic.

Am in Hamburg Germany now, Germany has about 4oo million population but the ministers are just 15, so what are talking about is 100% possible for nanabediako.
Just as he said the 24hr economy is not going to work, that is the same way this will not work. I say this because in the likes of Germany and China, they did not get up one day and just decided to cut down the size of their ministers, it was a process. Here is the case in Ghana where we are now struggling to stand on our feat, we have to put measures in place to facilitate it's efficacy.
