As someone who got a dog in the beginning of covid19... dogs are so much work --amazing but again so much work. Good luck and pay for a trainer it will save you a headache and from replacing furniture. Also for names, wait until it arrived, their personality will help you decide.
I also got a dog in the beginning of corona and I DEFINITELY underestimated how much work they are 😭😩
Rescue dogs are so much better trained than bred dogs I have a rescue dog from Romania and she could literally be a service dog she’s so well behaved

Louise Miller There is nothing wrong with buying a dog over adopting one! Both my rescue dogs are great, but I totally understand her decision! And with rescuing a dog you don’t really know what you will get ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ so if she’s interested in a particular breed it makes more sense to get it from a breeder. A purebred dog will have known traits, temperament, health, and overall you have a better idea of what you will have. It’s her money and her decision!
