And he doesn't care what happens to him. Granted, Beavis doesn't care about Butthead either. So they're even in that sense. But they're more like hangers-on than actual friends.
Butthead got lucky that his trachea wasn't completely blocked since he was still just barely able breath and speak. I've had that happen to me once and as Butthead stated, it sucks.
I know this is just a cartoon but seeing him beet red and not able to breathe. This actually kind of gives me the chills. This really happens every day in this country where someone dies from chocking on something and they couldn’t get saved because they were all alone.
Apparently a lot of people die from choking because they'll get something caught, and to avoid embarrassment or making a scene they go to the bathroom.

One of my (many) favorite episodes as a preteen, love how throughout the full episode, Beavis goes out to get help, keeps getting distracted by random things (like dog poop) and visions of butthead choking keeps popping up in a bubble above his head, lmao . Reminds me of a time when I was 11, I started choking on a rather large gumball. Scariest feeling EVER, my best friend was with me, we were big fans of the show and practically the female versions of Beavis and butthead at that age, and she thought i was joking around and not actually choking. I was pointing at my throat and flailing my arms around in a panic and I never forget she was laughing and said "You look like a dumbass " . She then realized I was serious and got my mom who came up behind me and squeezed my upper abdomen area and the gumball came flying out my mouth. Most terrifying moment back then but as adults now, that same friend and I laugh about that incident now nearly 25 years later, lol.

3 months ago I sprained my ankle (grade 3) after stepping from a high ledge, i fell forward and got the air knocked out of me, i dragged myself onto the sidewalk catching my breath, while my mom and brothers checked on me I remembered this scene and said “this sucks” just like butthead and I laughed even with air knocked out of me, hurt like hell but it was funny
I always thought this was Beavis' way of getting even with Butt-Head for not saving him (or not doing a very good job of trying to save him) when he nearly bled out after he gave him a nosebleed. Though at least Butt-Head got "things" for Beavis' "thing" (as he called it) to stop the bleeding. Beavis saving Butt-Head's life was pure chance.
This episode and the one where they go to the psychotic Doctor that gives poor Beavis like 15 or 25 jabs in the stomach to me are the scariest episodes ever.
