There's a reason I didn't put "Sony" in the title: it DOESN'T START with a Sony logo, instead immediately going straight to Columbia's logo, which brings back the PAL-pitch theme that hasn't been heard in a while. A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one. - ภาพยนตร์และแอนิเมชัน
Anyone asking why the Sony logo isn't there: Columbia only distributed the movie. The movie's production and financing was handled by Apple.
Oh, ok. That makes sense. So if the movie gets released on Apple TV, the Columbia Pictures logo will be removed. Sony/Columbia will possibly get the physical home media rights.
@@julianvillarreal1450 Yes, because Apple is the author of this movie. Columbia just has the film distribution rights.
Oh, ok. I wonder what will happen if the movie ever gets released on DVD and Blu-ray. But it’s nice that Columbia decided to bring back the PAL/High Tone version of the 1998-2012 alternate version 2 fanfare after 11 years of the first “Hotel Transylvania” movie being released in theaters.
@@julianvillarreal1450could you stop commenting every SECOND?!
I understand.
For the first time in over 11 years the high-pitched version of the 1998 alternate fanfare is back, this really puts a smile on my face
Yep. That’s right.
I don't think it's perimant
What was the last film that had the PAL fanfare?

I figured the logo kids would have a field day with this as soon as I walked in after the pre-show rigamaroll.
@@liamkenny9097OUT, OUT!!!!
Last night I watched this exact movie with my dad.
We didn’t catch it in theaters unfortunately, only on Apple TV+ months after its theatrical release, and therefore I didn’t get to see the Columbia logo anywhere at the very start nor very end. But hearing the PAL fanfare PLUS surprisingly not seeing the Sony logo does bring back memories of me as a 5-7 year old!
I was not expecting the PAL toned Columbia fanfare to come back.
When the high-pitched Columbia fanfare came back it put a big smile on my face
I feel nostalgic right now.
Me too
The high pitch version of the theme brought back memories from Zathura and Open Season.
Back to the Classic ways!
Unfortunately, they won’t be using the PAL version of the fanfare for the 100 Years logo this year.
*WOW!!!!* That's awesome!!!
I freaking love the Columbia logo, and seeing it back to it's pre-Sony transition majesty after almost 10 years (9 if you count Spectre, I guess) is amazing! Thank you, Ridley! (Or, whoever else was responsible for this decision!)
The 2016 Magnificent Seven remake didn’t have the Sony transition either
@@user-cr8dq7sc6h Yeah, but that one had the clouds
I don't think that's going to be permanent
@@user-cr8dq7sc6h probably because of the MGM logo at the start
@@user-cr8dq7sc6hI think that’s because it was a co-production with MGM and that logo came first.

over 11 years Columbia uses the PAL music fanfare, but the film wasn't released for united kingdom with Columbia logo, only with Apple Films, and I think it must be a sign that the film is from Europe, I would think that is the reason why they used the PAL toned logo

Could be because it’s not Sony who made the movie, but rather one of their tech competitors.

Sony is just the distributor so yep

“Napoleon” (2023).
The Columbia Pictures logo has no 2021 Sony logo transition since they only distributed the movie and the production and financing was handled by Apple even though Columbia did participate in producing the movie but it was fully produced by Apple. Also, the PAL/High Tone version of the 1998-2012 alternate version 2 fanfare is used. This was Columbia Pictures’ first time after 11 years of the first “Hotel Transylvania” movie being released to bring back the 1998-2012 alternate version 2 fanfare presented in PAL/High Tone and also the third movie in 7 years to have no Sony logo transition other than “Spectre” (November 6th, 2015) and “The Magnificent Seven” (Remake, September 23rd, 2016 even though it still had the clouds transition).
The PAL toned Columbia logo is back from 2012 yay ig
For people who didn't realize that Sony didn't get to appear in Napoleon:
Columbia just distributed the film for Apple and that's all, idk 🤷🏼♂️
It feels great to see the Columbia logo (in PAL pitch) without the Sony transition again after over a decade!
Unfortunately, they won’t be using the PAL version of the fanfare for the 100 Years logo this year.

@@FazbearMariobros Why? It’s a horrendous proclamation of Sony saying, “Look what I got!”. I mean, is a byline under the Columbia logo not enough for the executives’ egos?
When I saw these logos, I was like “Where’s Sony, and why is it high pitched?”. I thought it was just for the theater I went to they took out Sony.
@@MarioAndSonixit was eliminated because Napoleon is not a Sony film like Spider-Man or Ghostbusters but an Apple film, Columbia pictures distributes the film for Apple
Hate to break it to you, fella but there’s no such chance for Sony to be removed from their subsidies forever. You see, this is a one time occasion for Columbia to collaborate on a project with Apple Original Films. Sony and Apple are electronic manufacturers and my guess is that they didn’t want to be viewed as competitors let alone make a motion picture deal with them. That’s why the Sony logo was dropped at the start. At least the Sony byline stayed, so at least there’s that reference.
