      @@FensterfarmGreenhouseoh man I agree. They are the worst! I talked with their CEO about it and he argued that they used to be more descriptive but contractors didn't like it so they edited them. Not even sure what he meant by that but it is what it is. I love their houses but they are way overpriced.
      I get everything from a company called Scenic Acres out of Elkton Ky now. Same quality with 20% better pricing across the board.

    Super nice fans and vent setup! I noticed you wearing shorts. It does get hot in a greenhouse! Spring is almost here. I need to transplant my tomatoes tomorrow. Cleaned up the greenhouse today to make room. Glad you had help putting the fan in the opening, but I think it would have been interesting to see you try and do it by yourself. If the GH had wheels and both fans were on you could probably move it around your place. As you can tell catching up on watching videos. Bernard

      Maybe we can do one together or at the same time and link them together somehow. My review of the company and its management is not good. I had so many problems with getting my order shipped, (missing and lost items), getting response from them (nobody available on the weekends when most of the free world have the time to build one of these), incorrect parts shipped and more..... I just took down the word Atlas in every one of my videos. That should give you an idea of where I am with the company. The greenhouse itself is top notch, the company that sells it .... not so much!

    That is amazing the framing can hold the weight and vibration of a fan that size. And had no clue you had to assemble the fan to the motor. Thanks. I am learning allot. My daughter brought me some blue plastic bags that work perfect to cover the boxes I built. I have seen green clear and white plastic. Do you have any knowledge on colors. This is blues. And not sure how it my affect plants. But I know as far as lights indoors blues is a good color. for leaf and stem. Thanks for sharing all you do. E

    • @FensterfarmGreenhouse
      @FensterfarmGreenhouse  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am not familiar with how blue will effect the plants. I have both white and black mesh shade cloth and the plants don't seem to have a problem with either of them.

    the wind doesn't blow in on the shutters with the fans? I just set up a greenhouse and i have it set up with an exhaust fan blowing hot air out and a intake fan blowing cool air in.

    • @FensterfarmGreenhouse
      @FensterfarmGreenhouse  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      No. It takes a great deal of force to open the shutters. The fan is strong enough to pull them open wind from the opposite direction would only push it closed tighter.

    Happy 2017 - Thanks for the great videos - they are super helpful! I'm putting up a 48' Atlas and have similar hardware. Question: The HAF fans - are they supposed to be setup in opposite directions? Do they come on via thermostat or do you manually turn them on? Thanks!!!

    • @FensterfarmGreenhouse
      @FensterfarmGreenhouse  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      The HAF fans are supposed to be one direction on one side of the greenhouse and in the opposite direction on the other side. That is mainly for circulating the heated air during the winter. I found that facing them all towards the exhaust fans during the summer with the evaporative cooling wall running works better. I turn them in the winter when I turn on the heater. I have mine on a wall switch. Everything else is on thermostats though!
      I hope that helps?

      That's helpful - thanks! How'd your final wiring go with your fans? Did you run BX to the motor than come through the bottom 'kick panel' under the louvers? Trying to figure out the transition from EMT - thru the housing - to the motor.

    • @FensterfarmGreenhouse
      @FensterfarmGreenhouse  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I did not use EMT from the motor. I ran 12/2 romex to EMT outside the fan on the wall.. I may have to fix that later though!

    • @FensterfarmGreenhouse
