This was incredible. Unlike other Lego WWII animations, this depicts the horror, chaos, and violence of battle in a very convincing way. The camera movement was done very much like the "cameraman as part of the action" you see in modern war films. A+++!!!
Had a good friend (now passed) who landed on Peleliu and was wounded before he got 100 yards. This perfectly captured the chaos and horror of the battle from what little he told me. The only thing missing that he described (which can’t be modeled) is the smell. The charnel house smell
Epic, 7 min vid felt like 30 secs! I wanted MORE! Fav scene is the GI re-threw the dynamite back into the bunker after his arm was blown off! Heroic. Brutal. Keep it coming Plastic.
Wow! This was incredible! Especially the effects like fire, explosions, lighting effects for flamethrowers in the pillbox, and the fluidity of the battle, absolutely top tier!!!
Other than the amazing animation work and effects, I must really give you credit for the sound design. Many brickfilms lack the supersonic cracks when bullets zip by, so I appreciate that added detail.
That "shell's-eye-view" zooming in to the Japanese bunker was something I've never seen in Lego before. Really it launches into the action too. Very creative and nicely done!
Very nice! This is a very underrated sm! Btw was this based off of any specific movie or video game scene? If not va or sound design was really great!!
Wow this is good, the head movements, injured soldier, everybody acting human with the subtle movements, the action stays engaging, the horrors of war shown and the camera work remarkable. Good damn job
i’m ngl i thought it wasn’t gonna be that good from the first scenes and it’s like genuinely a really well made stop motion animation. Keep up the good work
Daaaaang! USMC v Elite Japanese infantry (the 14th Infantry Division plus supporting arms). Nearly 12,000 Japanese dead versus 10,000 American battle casualties. Forerunners to the casualties incurred at Iwo Jima and Okinawa. Wow! Excellent video!
Incredible work, you put the foot on the gas and didn’t let up the entire time! Great camera movement and choreography with multiple minifigs. You also did a great job with the background noises, it really helps with immersion
Goddamn, this is amazing! Top tier stop motion solely because of the cinematic and camera angles! Not many ww2 stop motions get me excited coz of how predictable / recycled they are but the satchel charge scene alone got me so excited; the wounded / killed actions, shrapnel cutting into the marine’s back and the realistic angles make this a 8.5/10 compared to many high production ww2 stop motions! Keep it up bossman
So someone sent me a short dramatic clip of this but the clip didn't describe it at all. The fact that i knew it was Peleliu just from that short clip is a massive testament to the creativity, skill and attention to detail of the creator.
@@plasticenthusiast ragdoll, kinda gore.............no goofy green screeen explosions and uhh basically everything. did u get the audio from The Pacific?
This is simply based on the actual engagement on the beach at that island very hard fighting very accurate of what it must have been like only a few good men
Subscribing because I know first hand how hard stop motion animation is, having done it as a project once. But also for the great cinematography which I'm sure was a pain to plan and execute. Even if these are just lego figures one can actually feel the horror and tension of the moment. Kudos!
because of movies I feel like ww2 was just soldiers being mown down bye machine guns blown up with bombs hit with tank shells etc.. until somehow we won
Dude! This is easily one of the best brickfilms of the year. I can't wait for part two!

Oh yeah I agree, this is one of the best animations I have seen. The blood effects were spectacular
My friend Aurieo Alfeo's gunny was with Col. Chesty Puller on Peleliu. He is a legend among the USMC
@@Railhog2102when did your friend serve?

I like how it focuses on all of the marines and not just one or two ‘main character’ marines.
How is this more cinematic than most modern movies?
You've done some impressive work
Wow! This was incredible! Especially the effects like fire, explosions, lighting effects for flamethrowers in the pillbox, and the fluidity of the battle, absolutely top tier!!!
Bro woke up from bed and chose to make epic and bloody video in all history
How is this brickfilm able to do combat scenes way better than many modern Hollywood movies? Spectacular work!
This is the best animation I have seen in my life! ❤
One of the most realistic WW2 stopmotion
U should watch jd brick

wow so cool. I love how you animated the heads of the wounded soldiers. Very good! can't wait for the sequel.

AWESOME! It's one of the best animations from WW2 for me. Also its one of the most realistic! Keep doing it!!!
One of the best animations I’ve seen, it depicts the overall horrors of war so well.

Excellent scene! I was reminded of the scenes in “the Pacific” where Trench and Snafu clear pillboxes at point-blank range with their Thompsons
