- On this video, I'll show you how to make a delicious deep dish pizza on the grill!
Sauce recipe from Allrecipes:
Ingredients
2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast
1 ½ teaspoons white sugar
1 ⅛ cups warm water - 110 to 115 degrees F (43 to 45 degrees C)
3 cups all-purpose flour
½ cup corn oil
1 ½ teaspoons kosher salt
Directions
Dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water in a bowl. Let stand for 5 to 10 minutes until the yeast softens and begins to form a creamy foam.
Combine yeast mixture, flour, corn oil, and kosher salt in a large stand mixer with a hook attachment; knead until dough holds together but is still slightly sticky, about 2 minutes.
Form dough into a ball and transfer to a buttered bowl, turning to coat. Cover bowl with a towel and allow dough to rise at room temperature until double in size, 6 hours.
Punch down dough and let rest for 10 to 15 minutes. Press dough into a 10-inch deep dish pizza pan.
Cook's Note:
Add cheese, toppings, and tomatoes you've flavored with garlic, basil, oregano, etc. Bake at 450 degrees for 30 minutes, depending on your oven. You may want to prebake the crust, if you wish, for 10-15 minutes.

chicagoan and former pizza maker here.
you should put the "flat" ingredients down first so in this case i'd do pepperoni first then the ham and then the sausage on that.
you should also flatten out sausage wads so they cook more evenly.
Auto5light12 - Probably good ideas. I'm a former Chicagoan and pizza maker (though not a deep-disher). I suspect, though, that this guy probably tried his recipe and found it acceptable... even if his ingredients weren't flattened out. By the way, I've always preferred more ball-like sausage with fennel. A lot has to do with what you like.
+Wakky Wabbit Hi! Thank you for watching my video and taking the time to comment. Actually there is no blood in the raw meat that we all buy in our stores and meat markets. Nearly all of the blood is removed during the slaughtering process. The red liquid you see is a mixture of water and a protein called, "myoglobin". Myoglobin basically stores oxygen in muscle tissue. The more myoglobin, the redder the meat. Higher levels of myoglobin is the reason chicken and turkey legs are darker than the rest of their muscle groups by the way. They use their legs a lot more, so there are higher levels of myoglobin. So... No blood in the raw meat you buy.
By the time I ate this pizza, the sausage was 100% cooked. More grease? I'll give you that one.
Thanks again!
Impressive pizza. But ur never gonna out do the bbq pit boys. Stick to greek salads my man
@@jtblodgett3331 I'm sorry for my language but, are you fucking kidding? This guy does an amazing content, explains everything in so much detail, he takes his time to think, research, buy, prepare, record and then edit so we have this amazing and extremely useful and interesting videos for us to see. Not only getting us enthusiasm about the recipes he prepares, also the background of each, and encouraging us to prepare them. C'mon! A hell of a work that MUST be appreciated!! Why don't you just enjoy both channels, and learn something?
Roux he’s just a hater man. Forget this clown

Thank you! That's cool you knew John... Wow. I know Tim La France pretty well. He was a pretty heavy hitter in the firearm design industry. Made his name for probably the best sound suppressor designs ever made. I could talk to guys like these for hours! Cheers!
thanks for the video, going to give it a shot and make it this weekend, thank you. and greetings from Puerto Rico"
Looks incredible! As a meat lover and practicing carnivore, this is my kinda pizza, and I must build one. I've been experimenting with doughs, mostly for thin crusts on a stone, so this is a new one to bring to the table.
I was craving this recipe ever since watching this video back in April. I finally made it and it was simply fantastic. My hat is off to Ballistic BBQ. . . .and speaking of hats, I dig the Noveske hat worn here. I knew John Noveske and he would've loved this pizza!
Looks amazing !!! This one i gonna try for sure ...
Thank you. Yeah, I've been cooking my pizzas on super high temps and I've had two standard stones break on my. I just had a piece of 3/16" steel cut into a circle. Gonna season it and use it for my pizzas on the grill.
Looks great Greg! I'll have to check that dough recipe out.

How did I miss this ...to die for man!! :)
So sick of people trying to claim this isn't pizza. Pizza is a word that encompasses a great deal, from the extremely traditional to the wild and crazy. Italians in different parts of America, and even in different parts of Italy, experimented and adjusted for the tastes of a given region to come up with all kinds of variations world wide. Trying to look cool by claiming this or that is not a pizza when it most obviously is a variation of the basic pizza paradigm is just stupid. If you want to say it's not traditional pizza, then fine, you're right; but this and many other versions of the dough, pizza sauce, toppings are all part of the pizza family and the more there is to try from, the better.
No, bello, questa non è una pizza. That dish is not even close to pizza. First off, that slice of cheese shares no similarities with REAL mozzarella. And the tomato sauce is way too complicated in the vid. Here in Italy it is usually made with:
-tomato purée
-olive oil
-dried origano
The dough is anything but flaky or buttery.
ATTENZIONE! MOLTI PIZZAIOLI NAPOLETANI SONO MORTI NELLA REALIZZAZIONE DI QUESTO VIDEO. CONSIGLIAMO DI NON REPLICARE IN TERRITORIO ITALIANO, RISCHIO IL LINCIAGGIO
Please stop arguing! If somebody showed me that pie I would call it pan pizza. But it is still Pizza. We're not in Italy over here. Besides what you should look at some current videos about what they're calling Pizza in Italy today.

You don't know what your talking about. You can put anything you want on dough and it's pizza.
Thanks Russ. Really easy recipe! Wouldn't work on a regular pizza, but rocks the deep dish!
There are plenty of people that cook it first. There are also pizzerias that spread the raw sausage in like batter "crude", coating the entire bottom of the pie. It gets hot enough inside to thoroughly cook the sausage. Cheers!
Looks amazing! Thanks for sharing :)
Nice timing - open the lid and the sirens start!
Great looking pizza Greg!
