Mechanical Engineering project automation in car parking final year project

  • ACP,automation in car parking is project done in our final year BE. This is a technique of parking more cars in less area. Myself shreevatsa anantacharya haribal along with my friends vivek g, chetan s, shreeshyl , prasad with much efforts did this project.     Nicely done! In the real world these automated parking systems suffer from a number of severe shortfalls: (1) only one car can be handled at a time, everyone else arriving/leaving must wait - like taking a class of schoolchildren across the road one at a time; (2) each stacker can only handle 20-30 cars per hour which makes the system unsuitable for sites with peak AM/PM arrivals/departures; (3) 1/3 of the potential space is consumed by the stacker's horizontal/vertical movement; (4) the increase in parking capacity over a ramped system is negligible; (5) the initial and ongoing costs do not justify this type of solution.

    you guys should install sensors or programe the plc on a strict coordinates because manual control is never a good neither acceptebal way of fonction .........
    it is only my opinion , trying to help.

    Cần phải có một hệ thống ra vào xe nhanh gọn. khách chờ 5 phút là đã lâu rồi mà chờ tới 10 phút thì lần sau sẽ ko gởi nữa.

    cost benefit ratio is not good for this design in the present time. but would improve as land prices increase and the cost of technology and automation decreases. gw tho
