I have gone forward with University of Massachusetts Amherst because of a lot of factors. To name a few- great CS ranking in US news, ROI, positive outcome after MS CS, budget friendly, loads of part time opportunities(TA RA isn't allowed though), exceptional research in AI ML, batch strength, living is cheaper, public university.
I have always had the american dream of living abroad. Additionally, US has few of the top universities in tech and it just felt like the perfect deal for me. Canada was another one of the top countries on the list for me, but one of my friends is studying in a top tier university in Canada, and all she discusses is how US has more opportunities than Canada. So it felt like US would be the best option for me.
