I heard this sound in 2009 I looked out the window and that’s how I saw an MTA bus for the first time, or at least one of my earliest memories of an MTA Bus.

The reason why you can’t exactly hear the roar in these is because it’s a 2002 model. The 2003 models roar.

Boy do I miss hearing this sound in Atlanta, Gwinnett and Clayton countries and in Elk Grove, CA. I do believe that Salem, Oregon still has their set still running up there
