Would be cool if Garnet and Steven's fusion had like a literal boombox that can blast music to their enemies (both because of the 80s aesthetic and cus Steven likes to sing), like they could wear Garnet's gloves and have Steven's shield (or it's shape) in their palms as the speakers to blast their music through or something like that.

My weapon idea for them was the two gloves treat Steven's sheild like a Beyblade or a record player and spins his sheild at super speeds and launches the sheild as an attack similar to Captain America or even Sailor Moon's Tiara attack from season 1
But the Boombox idea is BRILLIANT and I think I like it waaayyyy more

I love haylite, the idea of them changing colors under uv lights made me think of them dancing WAY too hard at a rave and just glowing.

The fun thing about Steven Universe fusions is that you can pack a lot of characterization into the number of eyes and limbs (also bright colors and gemstone motifs). These videos are actually making me want to get back into that fandom, and of course, I love your art and designs.

Ahh I love taffeite so much, I agree that sunstone doesnt really feel like it worked that well for a garnet and steven fusion but design wise fits more for a steven and ruby fusion definitely. Though I think they would maybe have a bit of a different personality in that case xD
But these are all so good, I love the ideas and its interesting to think about how these fusions would come about (besides garnet and steven's) in the show if they had happened!

With Hyalite- id imagine indoors things seem to just, happen around her and people assume its a boosted version of Peridots magnetism but the moment they are in the sun/in uv theres a collective oh moment when they see the floaty arms

also, as for ur comment about a fusion between steven and garnet = they/them. it actually can be anything. with connie, stevonnie goes by they, but with pearl, rainbow goes by he (and possibly also they?). steven is pretty open and kinda gnc. you dont need to restrict yourself to a rule that doesnt really exist for him (i say this to inform and bc you seemed to be struggling a bit with it)
anyway, this video was fun to watch. loved your interpretations of the fusions, and all your ideas for what they would be like. hyalite is perfect, and everyone else is also amazing (im just really a big peridot lover lmao). ty for sharing your ideas with us! im interested in any other fusions you might do 👀

I love the idea of garnet and Steven’s but I also love sunstone
I think the main reason why sapphire does “appear” very much in the fusion is because of Ruby and Steven’s over powering personalities.
However, while she may not appear to be in the fusion I think her abilities are still there. Future vision but to a different degree (breaking the fourth wall)
Firey passion is from Ruby
Caring is from Steven
Responsibility is from sapphire
That’s what I imagine at least
I feel like without sapphire a Ruby and Steven fusion would be reckless in practically everything they do. Steven always wanting to fix everything and help people no matter the cost, Ruby daring and impulsive
Sunstone wouldn’t be sunstone without sapphire
But that’s just me

Imagine if garnet and peridot fused since they both have glasses they would get a giant protective visor over their face, I’d 100% see them as probably being a welder cuz of the metal bending powers and the fire+ice stuff to cool down or heat up the metal.

2) i think the timelapse is a little too fast, a bit dizzying. i would suggesting cutting the sketching and/or the shading. it is fun to talk about but most of the time one, if not both of those parts are cut to make it fit for time.
just my own knowledge/experience though! no pressure!

I actually really enjoy your Interpretation of Steven and Garnet fusion, that I really want to make one.
My idea for a steven universe fusion is if Lapis fused with Steven to become Chalcedony. A he/they that is similar to rainbow quartz, but more of a artist theme instead of a mary poppins theme.
That's a great idea!!! My choice for them tho is Phosphosiderite but definetly I can consider the angle of the artist/rainbow 2.0 thing

While I can’t say I know much about Steven Universe, I did enjoy the video. For me your character designs are fun to watch due to how you vocalize the thought process.
Since you asked for weapon suggestions after finishing Mookatite, I had to share what weapon came to me right away. I think early on you mentioned Jasper had a helmet as their weapon? And Amethyst has a whip? So I thought a meteor hammer would be pretty fitting to mesh the two together. Alternatively, the three section staff might also fit. Both are flexible and blunt weapons. I don’t know if you knew of these already, but felt compelled to give these suggestions. Much like Ruby Rose I love weapons! So I’m sorry if this is a little wordy.

I have been thinking about what he might wield over the past couple days and I came up with some options that I think could work, some more than others. Jaune seems to me like he would use simpler weapons over more eccentric ones, so I am going to list them in order of simplest shapes to more unique. I'll get to what firearm I think his weapon would transform into at the end. I am sorry in advance for the length, here is a TLDR if you would rather just have the names.
TLDR
1) Longsword
2) Falchion
3) Shamshir
4) Kopis
5) Kopesh
6) Patta
First one is reforging the longsword that he has. I know this isn't really exciting but it does help with his knight/paladin vibe that he has going, and since it is being reforged it could now transform too.
Second is a falchion. This one still fits with the knight theming but gives a different shape at least. Unlike his current longsword this one has a single edge.
Third is a shamshir. This curved Persian sword could still give some of that knight theming while also having a more exotic flair. I also wouldn't be surprised to find this design in Vaccuo, since being from Persia gives it that association to the desert.
Fourth is a kopis. This Greek sword has a blade that curves downward slightly. I don't really see much of this style of blade in media and thought it would be neat to connect Jaune with Pyrrha with. Though I realize there is no Greece in universe, so this is more a connection for the fans.
Fifth is a kopesh. This Egyptian sword has a very interesting shape which again gives an association with the desert. I could see the opposite side of the blade being used as a buttstock if it transforms into a firearm.
Last for the swords I thought of is a patta. This is a gauntlet sword from India and I thought of it due to Jaune's defensive fighting style. I imagine this would be an awkward weapon to get used to and is here more because its interesting than something I think he would use.
As for the firearm I think it would transform into, I think that he would have a one handed firearm. That way he can use it alongside what I think is his most prominent element, his shield. So something like a semi automatic pistol or revolver. Possibly a pepperbox, which is a firearm with multiple barrels.
I also thought it would be neat having his shield "catch" any bullets shot at it and then he could use the repulson blast from Volume 7 to fire them back.
Anyways, I hope these suggestions help and that you enjoy your night/day.

It’s not that the speed paint is too fast, it’s that the screen is moving a lot. Depending on the art program, you can export the speed paint as “view fixation” which will make the video stay in one place. (Only if you want to)

I wanted to share my thoughts on the fusions! Mainly fjre opal
So I just wanna say j found your take on jt very interesting and I love the idea of jasper being able to have stable fusions [maybe after a redemption arc or something] and the possibilities it holds, and the personality js very interesting however I do believe it could be done a little better. The twig arms while bold are not very fitting the the body is a little too exaggerated [at least for my taste], I think that she'd either have four buff arms or maybe four arms that feed into eachother, I also think playing with more eyes or legs could help I think something like three legs or maybe even four to make her almost like a centar in a way, I mean if we think about it most of jasper's fusions would definitely just be huge since malachite was as big as alexandrite so maby exploring things like that could make the design stand out/come off stronger in my opinion.
I also think Taaffeite would be better with a different body type too, think kind of like step where steven admires and looks up to garnet but this time at a gem level and id argue he wishes to be like her in both relationships and in general, so like step it would hel9 to show off how steven sees garnet as a superhero of sorts while garnet loves Steven's little quirks and interests as she's been show to engage wjth them alot, so I think something like a loud and proud dancer type fusion would help and also showcase steven's love for music not to mention how garnet and all the gems bond over music. Or maybe something like a bold but also level headed type fusion, loud and proud of who they are while also knowing when to take the situation seriousiously, kind of like a more mature smokey in a way!
These are just my thoughts and I don't mean any disrespect by what I say at all and I hope this helps!

For Fire Opal I think I was paralleling her with Opal Classic (pearl/amethyst) so like her two arms are in different places compared to Opal, and she had the four eyes instead of Opal's two eyes kind of situation.
As for the body type I wanted Fire Opal's shoulders and chest to be much more exaggerated because Jasper is buff (most of this I'm pretty sure you know ahahah)
Anyways, I love the goofiness of Steven's fusions and the simple shapes that make the body, so I was playing with like Pearls thiness against Jasper's buffness kinda thing? Ya know what I mean?
Anywho, there really isn't an exact science to this
I have seen fusion art where Jasper/Pearl fuse and I have seen the centaur idea done already.
So like, it's a combo of not wanting to tread already done concepts on Pinterest and also wanting to centre the design around Opal Classic
So yeah. But I TOTALLY see your points!!! Like SUPER LOVE the in-depth comment, seriously!!! 💖
For Taaffeite I was feeling like honestly idk if you're an artist but like I would LOVE to see your interpretation honestly. I think your interpretation is SO different from mine to the point where like honestly I'd just love to see them 💖
Just a final note; I love goofy! And I want to have an element of Goofy especially for Steven's fusions! Ummm but perhaps that's not palette able for everyone.
I love the combo especially of Goofy/powerful! So there's going to be a lot of that.

Amazing character designs! This is the first ive seen your channel and im definitely going to subscribe! On the subject of the five minute videos for each drawing, i personally found the footage a little too fast and hard to follow sometimes. I do like seeing the entire progress of the pieces including the brainstorming of poses, and i think in the future maybe you could show images of the poses/drafts you scrapped, and then show slightly slower drawing footage from the draft you chose from the final product, if that makes sense? Theres a doll customizer i watch called Dollightful that shows all of her drafts as well, as still images side by side for comparison before continuing on with the final draft. I like the formula of the video otherwise!

I’d love to see these versions of the characters in their future designs, I’d wonder how they’d change? Taaffeite is definitely my fav, a much better fusion imo than sunstone. I remember seeing fan art back during like season 3 of a fusion of them called cherry quartz and it looked so awesome and the name always stuck with me, so imagine my disappointment when change your mind rolled around lol. But anyways keep up the awesome work!

Oh fun little idea you dont have to do but i think you would have fun why not do rwby fusions? Basically take the steven universe or dragon ball style fusion and fuse some of the rwby character it definitely will be fun imo and if you go dbz route you could technically make 2 versions for each fusion depending on who the dominant personality though some fusion would cross over on some of the rwby ships but that should be ok for some cool fusions!

aye! just as i created a mookaite fusion! though mine was for. a SU au. of. minecraft people.
anyway, i originally didn't know what to make the fusion, since it was between an orange spinel and a pearl i'm not sure the color of. and when i found out that mookaite jasper was australian... it had to be (pearl is australian).
i love how different both our designs are, and yet, we both gave the fusion two sets of arms, one under the other, and two visible eyes stacked on the right side. a bit of a graceful vibe?? and also big chest. i think my design most resembles your fire opal, kind of? big bulky top arms, thin low arms, chunky leg area (though fire opal's are pants, not the legs themselves), big chest, thin torso. because otherwise, both are pretty different (okay no i exaggerated. my mookaite doesn't have anywhere near such a big chest. i was confusing her with the spinel that conforms him sjdhfsdf. pearl pulls it back a little)

Second time seeing some of these and I still love them! Hyalite screams to me Capital G gamer, in the best sense possible no dissing here, like Peridot and Amethyst only fusing for combat situations but that also my include 8 hour MMO raids in which Hyalite screams clod at people over voice chat. Sunlight is not their ally but doritos and and mt.dew are.
I also think I mentioned this before but I just love their hair!
