It was so nice getting the flashbacks to finally confirm what happened with Soren as a kid after so many years of speculating from the various hints from the novels and things from interviews. It's so satisfying.
Yeah. Plenty of good and sad parts and it's good that it solidified that Viren regretted hurting his son Kinda, sorta not thrilled with K'paar and Lissa for disregarding that Soren would be dead with Dark magic since they already tried medicine. I get that Dark magic isn't pleasant and no one else has to like it. At the same time, a child's life is on the line and something's gotta give. It's either your philosophy or your child's life. Viren knew what Lissa and K'paar didn't want to face: that ya couldn't have both. You can't have your cake and eat it too. Without Dark magic, Soren wouldn't be in the show at all. Not the first season, not the second season, nowhere. Flashbacks with Soren as a little kid would be generous but still
I swear, I just about had a heart attack going from the scene where Soren tells Viren to use his heart, to then seeing Viren going to perform the spell, for a second there I legitimately thought he did it and I was distraught, but then my heart broke even more once I realized what Viren was really doing. 10/10 way to close out his character in my opinion, quite literally going out in a blaze of glory that almost resembles Ziard's death that we see in the beginning of Season 3, with the main difference being that Viren didn't instantly disintegrate. I think between this season and last season Viren has been cemented as one of my favorite characters with one of my favorite arcs of all time, he was so well handled that I actually almost shed tears over his sacrifice, 10/10 character, 10/10 storytelling, and 10/10 sacrifice, Wonderstorm gets a big round of applause from me for managing to execute Viren's story from beginning to end as well as they did. I'm just left wondering if they could possibly have a moment of heartbreaking sacrifice that could possibly surpass this one within the last season
Oh my gosh, same here! I almost had a heart attack during that scene. When Soren told Viren to use his heart, and then seeing Viren about to perform the spell, I was freaking out, thinking he actually did it. I was so distraught! And then realizing what Viren was really doing just shattered me even more. His ending was so powerful and heartbreaking, totally reminiscent of Ziard's death in Season 3, but with its own unique twist. Viren’s character arc has been so incredible, and I was almost in tears over his sacrifice. Totally agree, 10/10 for character, storytelling, and sacrifice. Wonderstorm absolutely nailed it. I’m just as curious as you to see if they can top this moment of sacrifice in the final season. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
I knew as soon as he came out that he was going to use his own heart there was no way he would done that to Soren specially after we find out he started his journey into dark magic by saving his son. I am wondering does Claudia think his dad was killed? Or could she tell he sacrificed himself?
@@earthbloodelf5289 I cried waterfalls at this scene I knew Viren was redeemed and what happened here solidified that. Perhaps even Soren or the rest of the citizens will acknowledge that
hat scene with Rayla and the ice behemoth hit me hard too. It was such a powerful moment, showing her compassion. One of the standout scenes for sure! Glad it resonated with you as well. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts!
This is honestly my favorite season! I especially loved everything involving Viren. The dialogue for him and Soren was perfect, as well as the performances from Jason Simpson and Jesse Inocalla. I think my favorite episode is either 5 or 6. Those flashbacks with Viren were so good!
this is honestly one of my favorite seasons! the animation was incredible, as well as the score! i loved all the Rayllum and Corvus moments 🫶 the Viren and Soren moments were also SO emotional this season was definitely the darkest yet, and im all here for it!
I need a theory on How did Terry and Claudia met, how did he fall in love with her. That event shouldn't have been skipped from the show. Like Wow: look at this hot chick killing innocent animals and humans to save her dad. That is really hot. I can fix her? Aren't elves supposed to be more compassionate towards animals and nature and he falls in love with a dark mage?
Hey there! Thanks for your comment. I totally get what you're saying it would've been really interesting to see more of Terry and Claudia's backstory. I imagine their meeting was probably a mix of unexpected circumstances and a deeper connection that isn't immediately obvious. Maybe Terry saw something in Claudia beyond her dark magic, like her determination and loyalty to her family. Elves are usually compassionate, but love can be unpredictable and complex. It's definitely a fascinating dynamic to explore. Hopefully, we’ll get more insight into their relationship in future episodes! Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts!
(Raises hand excitedly) I’ve got a theory! Terry mentioned in a scene with Viren that everyone in his village thought he was a “doe” even though he knew he was a “buck”. So this leads me to believe that his community refused to accept him as a trans man (er, elf), and that Claudia was the first person to accept him for who he was. She might have even used dark magic to help him with his transition (which is also why he doesn’t mind dark magic all that much.)
I know it's probably hard to pick just one that was your favorite but what was like one of your favorites? For me that scene with Viren and Soren was just so gut-wrenching!!
Season 6 is without a doubt the most emotional one thus far. Moreso than season 2, which stood out to me in that regard. It was *almost* everything I wanted. It really felt like the early seasons where each character was complex and important to the story. Everything about Viren's arc was absolutely perfect. And Aaravos's backstory caught me so off guard! The starscraper storyline and sunfire elves storyline were both handled really well. And the animation and voice acting were possibly the best we've seen so far. That's why it really pains me to say that the one thing I didn't enjoy was Rayllum. Their individual character arcs were both well handled. But I stopped caring about their relationship in season 4 and there is no way to save it now. There were hints that they would have a conversation about Rayla leaving at some point. First Rayla had a talk with Amaya, and then she read the captain's diary. But when they finally brought up the subject, Callum told Rayla not to apologize and that was it. I should be happy for them but I feel nothing. Sorry about the rant. I still really enjoyed the season, I just wonder if anyone else feels this way.
Hey! Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I totally get where you're coming from-season 6 was such an emotional rollercoaster! Viren's arc and Aaravos's backstory were absolutely mind-blowing, and the animation and voice acting were top-notch. I also loved how they handled the starscraper and sunfire elves storylines. I hear you on the Rayllum situation. Their individual arcs were great, but the resolution of their relationship did feel a bit underwhelming. It’s okay to have mixed feelings about it. Don’t worry about the rant, it’s awesome to hear different perspectives. Thanks for watching and sharing your insights!
@everythinggirly916 I feel similar feelings about this ship. There's still more to be done. I really thought Rayla was going to apologize to Callum for "ghosting" him for 2 years but once again, that doesn't happen.Callum shouldn't enable her bad habits and she's gotta improve herself a bit. I also felt nothing about them. (Also, when the ship they were sleeping was sinking, the ship's name was literally "Rayllum". THAT was just the funniest bit of meta-humor.)
This season was amazing and I can’t wait for season 7! hopefully the wait won’t be too long. I can’t wait to see the progression of Claudia and Callum…I think both are still not out of the clear (mainly Callum)
Hey there! I totally agree with you, this season was incredible! I'm also super excited for season 7 and hoping the wait isn't too long. Claudia and Callum's journeys have been so intense, and I can't wait to see what happens next-especially with Callum. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts!
Well this series has officially redeemed itself for the…existence that is season 4. That being said, I was about to throw my phone across the room if we didn’t get another Rayllum kiss this season. I was not disappointed. We got multiple kisses, and so I didn’t have to throw my phone. I use this thing a lot after all!
This season is basically an incarnation of story plot lines that pay off. I think Aaravos' goal is to now destroy the Startouch Elves (meteor strikes) and resurrect his daughter Leola. This is basically the DOTA Dragon's Blood Invoker storyline again. The Invoker loses his daughter, avenges her death, resurrects her, and dies in the end. I think both the protagonists and antagonists will get what they want: Peace between Humans and Xadians, Leola’s Return, and Aaravos’ demise (Aaravos did want to have himself be executed in Leola’s place).
Hey! Great insight! This season really does pay off so many plot lines. Your theory about Aaravos' goal is super interesting, and I can see the parallels with DOTA Dragon's Blood. It would be wild if the story went in that direction. I'm excited to see how it all unfolds. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and for watching the video!
I just finished season 6 a few hours ago. I liked it. Also, I thought it was interesting that there were other staffs in the Starscraper that looked exactly like Viren's staff except with different color gems but weird that no character comment on it Spoilers: I don't fully know why Viren got rid of the letter to Soren but I hope Aaravos or Callum do something so Soren can read that letter because I think Soren did need to read it. Granted, it did look like Soren was upset that Viren sacrificed himself to protect everyone there but still, I think Soren should have a chance to read that letter.
asheavens elves apply: truth can do more damage? Viren already said he is sorry: having the details about reasons might be more heart breaking to Soren than not having them. Finding out the reasons Viren did most of it for his sake might give Soren guilt feelings on top of being neglected and abandoned by his father, losing his sister, having a criminal for the father? Those things were already enough to cope with . Soren ended as a good person as Viren said he might not want to endanger that outcome by basically saying You are the reason for all crimes I did: it is easier to simply blame Viren himself. the story of their family is so tragic: I feel sorry for them all. Like Aaravos: they just continue to commit crimes justifying it with love and own family's wellbeing. It leads to more families being hurt and more people suffering in a never-ending circle. Everybody is sufffering. What happened to Aaravos's wife is probably tragic as well.
I think when he saw soren, he realized it would likely do more harm than good. He realized he'd already destroyed Soren's faith in him. One letter wasn't going to fix that.
Totally agree with you! That letter to Soren felt like such an important piece of the puzzle. I'm really hoping Aaravos or Callum finds a way to get it to him. Soren definitely deserves to read it. Seeing him upset over Viren's sacrifice was heartbreaking, and that letter could give him some much-needed closure. Fingers crossed for the next season!
@@Virrow Same here. Kosmo is entitled to his opinion about what telling the truth can do At the same time, it's not a "one size fits all" thing, it's really a case-by-case basis thing. He conveniently skipped over everything Zubeia told us in season 4(which is probably because it would convince Claudia that he couldn't be trusted) so there's probably more. Hoping for next season!
In the end… Viren died a hero. His final, ultimate sacrifice cleansed him in the end, his corpse-like “true form” giving way to his natural face as his breathes his final breath.
I haven't watched the video yet; I'm saving it to my playlist for when I finish. Since I've watched the first 5 episodes and won't be able to finish till Sunday, but let me just say that so far this season is not pulling ANY punches. Soren is finally getting closure with Viren(something I've wanted for SEASONS at this point), Claudia is questioning her path and will possibly try to redeem herself, and Rayllum just feels so... Realistic? Like genuinely acknowledging their issues and not instantly resolving them. It seemed like Rayla was close to apologizing to Callum in The Frozen Ship, but perhaps that will happen later. And I'm genuinely scared for Callum this time around, they've done an excellent job so far with properly fleshing out his fear of being controlled and used to hurt his loved ones. Istg if anything happened/happens to him I will not recover. I'll come back to see your review in a couple days! As well as final thoughts on the season as a whole.
It sounds like this season is really hitting all the right notes for you! I’m so excited to see Soren finally get closure with Viren and to watch Claudia’s journey as she questions her path. Rayllum’s realistic portrayal and the way they’re addressing their issues is refreshing. I’m definitely with you on being concerned for Callum, his fear of being used against his loved ones is portrayed so well. I can’t wait to hear your final thoughts once you’ve finished the season! Hope you enjoy the rest of it!
@@VirrowI just finished the season, holy mother of God. It was so good. I did not see most of what happened in the last few episodes coming at all. Hats off to the writers of this season. I am both excited and absolutely terrified as to what they have in store for the final season. Poor Claudia dude... she's never had anyone with good morals to guide her, and looks like it's only going to get worse... Terry might be the only person who tried to lead her in the right direction (apart from Viren in the end, but by then his old ways had already left a scar). I knew the name Leola was gonna be significant later when it was mentioned in season 5 but I absolutely did NOT think it was Aaravos's daughter, that was a big shock(and a welcome one). Overall yeah this season was the best one they've made in years, neck in neck with season 3 for me. Loved your review!
Honestly his motivation lines up to him wanting revenge he never was going to help him to begin with. Yes aaravos manipulate things but feel like that was years ago
@@Virrow Yes. They are complicated since they'll probably just avoid what Runaan did to Harrow and or any other complicated conflict. Did Rayla forget that she would have been eaten by that sea monster in season 5 if Callum hadn't used that Dark magic spell? Nobody had another solution except that Dark magic spell in that moment
There's definitely coming there's a lot of things I didn't mention I don't even think I really even talked about Rayllum's handling, Viren's death, or Runaan's return. But you can bet that I will be talking about them and future videos!
You completely skipped Viren’s redemption with only using just one sentence. Seriously. Let’s not forget that. Despite his limited screen time, it was the best of Viren we’ve ever seen. I just knew that if Viren gave Soren that letter, Soren would hate his own father so much but also hate himself to no end. And it’s a good thing he didn’t do it because then that leads into the climax of Viren’s life. He had used his human heart to make sure everyone would be defended from the flames of Anak Arao’s wrath and blindness. The way he had went out to defend everyone after realizing what he had done, it just hit me. It hit me to the point where it was either Shadow in Adventure 2 or Majin Vegeta in DBZ, or Merga in Freedom Planet 2. We all know that they would’ve perished if Viren had given that letter because Soren wouldn’t have trusted him anymore or they would’ve survived but Viren would’ve have to live with regret of having to take his own son’s life out of said “own son’s” force because Soren wouldn’t be able to live with the fact that dark magic had been used upon him. The writing in this one is fantastic and I almost went into tears at Viren’s sacrifice, despite all of the bad he had done.
Almost in tears? I was outright crying. Viren's death was handled so beautifully that it was heart-breaking. His last words "I am a servant" showed him remembering and accepting who he was after all those years of trying to be somebody else. It also helps to drive home what Harrow said in an earlier season. Power is not true strength. True strength is compassion and love. Harrow thought of himself as a "servant king" while Viren's ego pushed him to gain more power for himself. In his final moments, where he was filled with love for his family and the people of Katolis to the point where he could cast the spell by speaking forwards instead of backwards, which is theorised to be Viren discovering his Arcanum, I think he finally understood what Harrow meant.
Yeah, there were a lot of things that I didn’t cover in this video. I don’t even think I talked about Rayla and Callum getting back together either. I’m planning on doing full videos on a lot of these other topics, so I didn’t cover them here. Some of them I’ll probably expand on in other videos, but yeah, his redemption was probably my favorite part of the entire season. He has always been my favorite character, and to see his story unfold so beautifully was just magnificent. 😊
The sol regem plot ywist was good but i vpuld have figured it put if the sun elf plot line was worth it it wasn't. But i do think releasing he wasn't coming cause he had different motivations shich i did catch on

I love S6.
S6 ~ S3 > S5 > S2 > S1 > S4
That is very interesting order! Season 6 was fantastic wasn't it? :D
@@Virrow Indeed
I always had a feeling that wonderstorm were cooking up an absolute masterpiece
Season 6 was just amazing ❤🎉
Hi Virrow!
Hiya monkey!!!
Sol Regem didnt betray karim he was ridden by an aaravos controlled pharos and aaravos tool him off coarse to katolis to burn it
Ooooooo I didn't think about it like that!!
Oh... That's why Sol Regem destroyed katolis... Karim made him think he was at the battle..
Honestly his motivation lines up to him wanting revenge he never was going to help him to begin with. Yes aaravos manipulate things but feel like that was years ago
That makes sense what you saying but idk feel in character for him
Curious to know your thoughts on the Rayllum stuff since it wasn’t really mentioned here…
bad
jk
they complicated lol
@@Virrow Yes. They are complicated since they'll probably just avoid what Runaan did to Harrow and or any other complicated conflict. Did Rayla forget that she would have been eaten by that sea monster in season 5 if Callum hadn't used that Dark magic spell? Nobody had another solution except that Dark magic spell in that moment
2:20 I didn’t notice that the ship said rayllum
A silly little joke in the show I thought was cute!!
I didn't focus on the name on the ship but I got the message 😂 it was dumb
How did you not mention the time travel?
There's definitely coming there's a lot of things I didn't mention I don't even think I really even talked about Rayllum's handling, Viren's death, or Runaan's return. But you can bet that I will be talking about them and future videos!
@@Virrow bet
But i do think releasing he wasn't coming cause he had different motivations shich i did catch on
how they gonna beat falen star i think they gonna lok him again or her daugther will be reborn because her constellation
How’s u watch the whole thing in a day
Already finished it😢
It was really something else wasn't it? What was your favorite part or if you can't pick just one what's like one of your favorite parts then?
😁
real
@@Virrowmy favourite partS where 1. When Virren turns into someone good and gives up his life. 2. Rayla and Callum getting back together and having their journey. 3. When Rayla goes through the portal to get her parents back. However my one regret was that i skipped through the show too much on Netflix. The part that made me cry was Aaravos's back story. I cant wait till season 7 comes out. But i am said that season 7 will be the last season. I will keep watching it over again. Thanks for the content keep it up. I miss the memes😊
Sol Regam didnt betray the sun elves. he done got tricked and manipulated ;P
I have a crazy theory, what if Callum is the reincarnation of Leola
Edit: Or maybe Claudia is the reincarnation of Leola
That is really interesting!
Merciful one my but! She was a child !
I like season 6.
Me too! What was your favorite part? :D
i can't watch the dragon prince anymore cuz we don't have Netflix anymore 😭
