Supertuna is a fishing song as simple as that. He wrote for fun and giggles in an hour or so, also to hang with his friend while fishing ig . He recorded in another one hour. Earlier he gifted this song on his birthday to armys and told not to make it famous in anyway because it's embarrassing to him. Well, armys did exactly opposite it was smash hit with supertuna challenges and stuff..the hastag and videos on supertuna now has about 100M on tiktok currently. Again, when supertuna re-released in spotify, armys blocked overwhelming taylor Swifts midnight with this song. Well, I'm sure jin did not want to chart it either😂. So finally, this is the extended version he recorded on the same day when he got out of the military and performed it live the very next day ,again as a gift for armys. Once again, it charted #1 itunes in multiple countries when again Jin said not to chart it😅. So, in conclusion, supertuna is more or less a trot song about fishing . No meaning needed. Well, what can we take from this is his love for armys, his ability to make music on things he loves, and his showcase and wide range of vocals in different genres.

Jin made Supertuna he loves fishing and it was his birthday and so many loved it that he made another verse right before going into the service he said his voice changed in the service so he rerecorded it but sung live at Festa BTS fan meet.
He and (the songs writer) producer Bumzu wrote Super tuna on a fishing trip. Seokjin made a joke about catching a tuna but the boats captain told him there were no tuna fish in the area. As they were coming up with lyrics, they played the demo right before he cast his rod, and low and behold he caught an actual tuna. Hence super tuna. That's it, that's the song. He released it as a silly birthday gift for ARMY in 2021 but he decided he wanted a second verse sometime in the summer of 2023. So Bumzu wrote him a 2nd verse and he recorded it at midnight the day he was discharged. And performed it live the next day. Sometime in July or August (he can't remember) he then re-recorded the entire song and made the fill video.
