    The similar sound to the T1 & TRs Subways maybe attributed to the same builder. The Subways & GO Bi-level coaches were both manufactured by Bombardier.

    Man I Love The Door Chimes. And The Horns On Go Trains. The first time I rode one was when I was 5 years old. I remember hearing that door chime since Aldershot until we got off at port credit station
    Edit: I just love Go Trains

    Formerly, the older TTC subwaytrains used a square wave like this one, but then got upgraded to a sine wave. The pitches are still exactly the same though.

      When the T1’s first came out they had a square wave sound before they changed them but was it also a square wave on the old H series trains?

    I'm assuming it's close to the TTC, because that's a sound that people of Toronto are use to hearing when the doors are closing. Very smart from GO.

      CENSORED Not every Bombardier-built train has the same chime. Here in NJ, the Multilevel coaches make a series of beeps before doors close. About 8 beeps.

  • @JakeLunceford
    @JakeLunceford 9 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    To get on the train do you always have to push the button, or is it certain stops or certain cars or something? SunRail in Orlando uses these cars and they have that button but they aren't used.

    • @3dkidsartfairs
      @3dkidsartfairs 8 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Those buttons are used occasionally. I remember once in August, for the 6:00 AM SB from DeBary (on 8/11), they used those buttons to let the folks already waiting at the station platform to get on, including myself. The train had arrived already by the time I was dropped off at the station. Thing is, you have to literally hit the button to open the door!

    • @JakeLunceford
      @JakeLunceford 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, since I asked the question I've figured out when and what they're used for. I was on SunRail for I believe the 12:00SB and since the train sits at DeBary for a while and it's hot during the summer at that time of day they keep the doors closed and I had to get on that way.

    • @reidgibbs
      @reidgibbs 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      its a POP system (proof of purchase). There aren't any fare gates, instead they assume you buy the ticket and an operator will occasionally come around to check for your ticket.

      I am not sure why Go Transit has the same door Chime as Ttc, But as far as i know the Ttc does not own copyrights to the sound. You could even create your own sound using the notes G -E -C

      The GO Transit coaches and TTC coaches are both made by Bombardier, so Bombardier uses the same chime for both.

      iLoveMC32 Games+ Are you referring to the TR train model on the Yonge- University Line (I think it is rare that TR models are used on the Bloor- Danforth line, and it only uses the T1 models, the ones without the automated voice warning of closing doors).
