Built one with 16 furnaces instead, same way but I added extra power rails in the middle and added a redstone block on top of the back rail to power both. Works a charm and all the blocks keep smelting without pausing. Loved the tutorial, cheers.
Just remember the bigger your furnace array is the more fuel it takes to run. Most of my stuff I use the double chest design. (Mini duel furnace array)
What’s the double chest design? I feel I remember having a smelter in my world that didn’t take minecarts or as many hoppers but I can’t find it anymore
@@OMGitsKamiKaze Two furnaces 6 hoppers 3 double chests. lay down double chest. feed in two hoppers on same side. Hello thank you for making this video the way you explained it helped me figure it out and it's working as what it's supposed to and this really helped me and it's faster than the one I already was using thank you!
For the ones who are searching about a fix when the minecart won't move, for me it was the block behind the minecart which was a stair block, i replaced it and it works perfectly now i have no idea why is that a thing but it is
Kinda experimenting with redstone and decided i needed one of these i made it in my world but i did need to expand ore storage before smelting and after being smelted aswell as the acual furnace ammount i took tips from other comments and must say this has been very helpful to me despite building a second and third to help get through my mountain of stuff
I’m still working on it, to be honest. At its core, I mined a 47-diameter circle to bedrock, and built two 3-block thick walls around the outer edge up to world height (the space between the walls became a massive spiral staircase). The cores of both walls are obsidian obtained from the Nether 32 buckets of lava at a time (each layer of the wall has ~280 blocks of Obsidian). The walls below the surface are made of Deepslate brick, but the walls above the surface (just over 50% of the total height of the tower) are made of stone brick. Right now, I’m in the middle of lighting up the spiral staircase, and next, I’m going to put floors into the tower so it’s not just an empty shaft
I’m in the middle of a long break, but the body of the tower and the staircase are completed. Need to put in floors to divide the tower into rooms (and determine how many rooms I want/need in the tower)
If you wanna make a bigger furnace but make it so you don’t have to add too much fuel to start smelting fill the coal hoppers with an item that cannot be put in the furnace so for example maybe a piece of obsidian or any object that can’t go in the hopper
I have a super smelter with 18 furnaces, the furnaces run around corners and behind it is a chest minecrat. Bamboo is filled in, but if you want to smelt large quantities, the bamboo is used up faster than the minecraft can fill it and I still have a problem, the minecart can only release more bamboo than it can take in because the funnel only adds 1 bamboo at a time.
I actually used sticks as a temporary fuel source for this super smelter(only in the beginning) while smelting kelp for the dried kelp blocks(I spawned in a jungle next to the ocean, I also found a shipwreck which I got a treasure map from and I found a diamond in the buried treasure, very good yes 👍🏻).
i built this a long time ago. the only difference is i DO use lava buckets. it is better to be overpowered then come back and see 3/4 of your stuff cooked. because you ran out of fuel. as for an alternative you can use dried kelp blocks which i SURPRISINGLY do use over lava. why? it is easier and quicker to build a 0 tick kelp farm 4 to 8 blocks wide with smokers. be forwarned though. the smokers will never be able to keep up. trust me. its a good problem to have. whenever you go to leave the kelp farm though make sure you turn it off before either leaving the area (chunk) or leaving the game.
Can the furnaces be loaded in any orientation? Does the fuel have to come in from the top and the material from the back and product out the bottom. Or can you change it up?
I've built a few of these, but this time I've come back to watch the video again for building another one in my new survival world. This time though, I have a problem where the items in the input minecart with chest go into the minecart on the bottom that's supposed to be for the fuel??? I have no idea how this is happening, everything just ends up in the fuel minecart and it's weird because it's like diagonal from the other one. all the hoppers are facing the correct way and I've followed this video to a t like everything single time
Yeah, I think there was an update or something where a hopper cart can suck out the items from another hopper cart even if it is 3 blocks higher I'm just looking for a different design without that problem
The hopper doesn’t put the coal in the chest fast enough. A simple solution is to just put the coal in the mine cart chest itself without needing the double chest or hopper, and then just leaving the coal in the furnaces
I’d just make a drip stone lava farm with couldrens and just use that every time, it doesn’t mess up the smelter system it just puts the empty buckets in the output chest
Yeah I shouldn't use lava buckets but I build a lot of farms in my world and my favorite block to use is smooth stone which is cobblestone smelted twice so, By the way your a great youtuber and all my farms in my world is from you so thanks =)
Same problem, but i checked them and nothing is wrong with the build. But the minecart which distributes the coal is not putting them inside the furnace
So I was following this but for some reason the minecart stop when they reach the power rails bear in mind both are powered and there is a block behind it by all means it should hit it and then start going back to the other side instead it just simply decides to stop does anybody happen to know a potential fix
@@Rowey1983 I did, there all correct. Idk if it’s bc I’m on bedrock or what but I’m starting to feel like it’s bc ok the bamboo bc it smelts so fast it doesn’t have time to reach the last furnace

works great only issue I have is that the last furnace fills up much faster than all the others leaving that one smelting for longer any way to fix this?
This is probably because of the hitbox. If you add one more rail between the last rail and powered rail, it should give enough room to not keep filling it when it tries to come back.
Great design 👍 but I was wondering if you could possibly make a hopper loader for this design? I am using this smelter for a gold farm, and it needs to smelt swords super fast. Can anyone help?
Check if you placed the hoppers correctly by looking at it from the side and see if the bottom parts of the hoppers are touching the furnaces, if they aren't, then break them and place them while shift-clicking on the top of the furnaces Hope this helps
I found the solution. You have to push the minecarts to the wall as far as possible. When you start it now, the minecarts will exactly go as fast as eachother. Only the first furnace doesn't work for some reason.
Bro I wanted to build this one but I went to a vid about the same build and same TH-camr and that vid was a bigger version then this one and I didn’t know until like 5 mins+ in to building it now I have 20 spare furnaces and I can’t do anything with them but I am just going to make a furnace wall
I playing on bedrock edition 1.20 and it didn’t work. The power rails didn’t turn on from the the position of the red stone torches, nor did the minecart chest collect from the input chest to distribute to the furnaces. Plus, some of the items were getting stuck on the hoppers. I’ve build exactly as presented and several times slowly, and still the same issue. I have no packs, no seeds, no experiments on. What could be wrong?
For the power rail problem, you definitely just placed the torches wrongly, because it not working is literally impossible considering how redstone works. For the input chest problem, check the fuel Minecart because sometimes the fuel Minecart can suck out the items from the input Minecart. For the hopper problem, there is probably a redstone block or redstone torch that is powering the hoppers and powering the hoppers basically disables them. So if you placed any redstone blocks or redstone torches (maybe for a power rail inbetween), then remove them
If you’re building this underground in Survival Mode the minimum size of the room is 14x6x7. (14 blocks long, 6 wide, and 7 high.)

I ended up building 3 of these 😅 one for regular furnaces one for blast furnaces and one for smokers and I needed over 5 stacks of iron for hoppers
Ngl not a smart choice, swap out the smokers for regular furnaces, and if you don’t do a lot of mining the blast furnaces to
Smokers suck
Building 3 is a bad idea. If you want smoker or blast furnaces, just break the furnaces, and if you want more efficiency, just extend the 1 farm

Just followed this tutorial and man is it easy I really recommend to use this if you want to make a simple super smelter

You can get rid of the double chest and the hopper below that double chest and just fill up the minecart chest directly
You don't need the hopper, just build the chest above the Minecart and the Minecart sucks the items out, and really really fast
