So I was getting changed for gym class and I asked my friends for a pad and she didn’t have any. So I was freaking out so I put toilet paper. It didn’t work and I bleed though and my friend said the I as a horrible friend because I got my period. And my gym teacher was horrible and made me stay in those clothes. So I walked in the changing room because my male teacher wasn’t allowed in. He walked in so I reported him to the principal and today i am not friend with her and my teacher got fired. I just got mine like an hour ago😭 It’s my first one, but my mom always prepared me for it, for example, she told me how to put in a pad, what it is, and all the basics. I was in the middle of an Easter church service, and felt like I needed to go #2(i was visiting my cousins house so my mom wasn’t there), so I told my aunt and went to the bathroom with my grandma because she had to go too. I go, and when I wipe it’s a blood bath, and I immediately know it’s my period. I walk outside the stall after I wiped and asked my grandma to get my purse, she brought my purse, so I called my mom when it was only me in the room. My mom was also in the middle of church so I had to call her 3 times before she answered. I started talking and I was in tears because I was so scared. She texted my aunt and she came to help me, and luckily there were pads in the bathroom. The funny thing is, I’ve always wanted my period because I wanted to be a woman, so I was always watching Just Sharon Videos and she is just the best lol

I started my period during the last week of 5th grade. I was 11. My mom explained it to me about 6 months before I started it because she started hers at age 10. I was playing roblox and wasn’t really focused because I didn’t necessarily care. Well the day I started it, I was at school and at the time I had a sprained wrist. I went to the bathroom because I felt something and it was my period. I told my teacher my wrist was hurting and RAN to the office. The office lady’s had me sitting there for a while and I was acting like I was in so much pain just to get on the phone with my parents. My dad came to pick me up, and I had to tell him what had happened because he had scheduled an emergency appointment for my wrist. I was extremely embarrassed and when I went home my mom was mad that I didn’t stay at school. It truly was a nightmare and a traumatic experience. I’m so glad we are normalizing periods.
My school has a women’s issues club. This school year we were able to put free pad and tampon dispensers in the bathrooms. I’m so glad we did that. I’m finishing up my freshman year and i’m totally rejoining next year.
My family actually does have a period tradition, which is to get your period right before or on the day of your 14th birthday. It's happened to my grandma, my mom and her sisters, and me, too.
I remember watching the period video the nurse showed us in fifth grade and being terrified. After watching a lot of Sharon for a while, i realised it isn’t as bad as the nurse showed us. sort of

If you have a regular to light flow or a regular flow wear a heavy pad to sleep since you won’t change until you get up If you have a heavy flow wear 2 or more heavy pads at the same time
I feel so lucky watching this video. My mom was very focused on making sure that I knew what a period was and other things that happened during period. She made sure I was prepared for when I got my period and I was! I didn’t panic as badly as I thought I would when I got it. ❤
My first period horror story… I’ll tell you- I’m 16 now and I got my period when I was like what- 10 maybe? But we were doing the final test of the year in school. I really had to poop but wanted to finish the last few questions on the quiz. All the sudden I could not hold the poop in anymore and started pooping everywhere. Everyone in the class saw because I was wearing shorts and the diarrhea had leaked out. Everyone was staring. I stood up to go tell the teacher and a kid shouted “EEEW WHY IS YOUR DIARRHEA BLOODY?” Not only I pooped myself but I also have started my period. My teacher quickly pulled me behind his desk so no one could see below my waste and he had to press the black button to get one of the administrators to escort me out of the room. Most embarrassing day of my life I would never forget. Especially when I take tests I always get reminded of that.

Yeah, I remember watching that. Sydney gets her period for the first time. It was nice of her friend to be prepared even though she didn`t have hers yet.
i think mother nature actually spared me on my first period HAHAHAH probably because even though i was 10 i knew soso much about the topic. sadly though i had to pay the price for having a peaceful first period, and now i have this insanely heavy flow that fills an entire menstrual cup in 4 hours.

I got it . I was at school then . As I got up the teacher quickly saw and told me to sit down. He gave me his cardigan to tie around and said to clean up at the nurses office. My first period story: I think it was summer going into 7th grade, and I was having my birthday party (first one where it was both guys and girls) at a beach. I don’t remember specifics but I was freaking out cuz it was my first one and I had never used anything before, much less a tampon. so my friend was at the house and she had to wait like 30 extra minutes because I couldn’t figure out how to put it in, my mom tried to help me but it wasn’t working. I ended up just putting shorts on over my suit and hoped it would be fine(it was, we were in the water most of the time, and it was light cuz it was my first) i later told my best friend ( who had never used a tampon at the time) that I couldn’t get it to go in, and she said, “Just shove it in, it’s not that hard” so ig it could’ve been worse, but it was still embarrassing at the moment.
I got my first period on April fools day, I immediately called my mom and she gave me lots of tips, but I knew what to do because of Sharon’s videos so thank you
Basically I just started my period.. skipped it from February to the beginning of July and so on. I’m so not excited to be a woman knowing what’s ahead of me.. but Sharon’s videos make me feel a lot better!

When I got mine, like an hour before I guess, I lied to my friend and said I had mine ( I didn’t ) so she asked me to go to the bathroom with her. We got there and I went to a stall looked down and screamed. I think this was the universe's way of telling me never to lie 😅
When I got my first period I didn't tell my mom for 1 week then i though it was smart to Shove pads under the Cabinet so my mom had to pick it up I was too nervous to even say it to her until she saw the blood on my shorts😂😂 also love you sharon

okay, this isn't my first but it was VERY recent, so get ready. so it started out with my sis (she lives in Texas) coming over. my pepal (grandfather) asked if we wanted to go on a trip.. a camping trip. There was no wifi or given internet, and I didn't have wifi yet so I could BARELY communicate with others. at the time I knew my period was getting more regular, but I didn't have a day or time period in which I usually get my period. I was cramping SO BAD the entire week before hand (so was my sis) and knew it would be coming soon, but I still packed barely any pads. on abt the second or third day of the trip (it was a week long trip), I got my period. IT WAS PROBABLY THE HEAVIEST PERIOD ILL EVER HAVE. before this, all my periods where a literal drop a day 💀- AND I ALMOST ALWAYS THROW UP WHEN I SEE BLOOD, ESPECIALLY ON TV. I had Abt two to three pads, all paper thin and SO uncomfortable 😞😫🙏.. I told my sis since we opened up abt periods that trip, and she helped a ton. she made a diy pas with toilet paper from a random PUBLIC bathroom, and it survived an entire night. (barely, and btw just never even try toilet paper bc it still ruined all of my underwear💀) I'ma cut to the point now bc this is long, but I had to text my mom with the bar of wifi I had, and she CALLED MY PEPAL AND TOLD HIM. IM SORRY BUT I COULD NEVER EVER TELL HIM OR ANYONE FAMILY WISE ABT THAT STUFF 😭 (I'm just not comfortable with it ☝️😃) he had to take me to dollar general and let me pick out what I wanted 😔 I'm still traumatized to this day bc his face was disgusted and that disgusted me 🖐️ OH AND ONE TIME I WAITED ABT 30 MINS BC THERE WERE SO MANY PEOPLE IN EVERY STALL AND THE WRAPPERS ARE SCARILY LOUDDDD

When I started my period mine lasted for 12 days all super heavy. Dealt with that for a year and then started on birth control at 12 because it was not healthy and it was dangerous. I now have 6 days still fairly heavy even though I'm on birth control
I leaked at school once right when I got there and I got up and saw the red on the chair, I was so embarrassed because I woke up late and didn’t have time to change my pad in the morning. I went to the nurse and she asked my size and let in the bathroom to put a new pad in and she gave me new underwear and pants, thankful for her ❤
My first period was a bit of a nightmare for me. I was in science class I had to go to the bathroom and thought nothing of it. As I sat down and saw the blood stain on my underwear and immediately started freaking out. I had 20 minutes left of my class and decided to wait to get a pad from my friend after class. When I get back to class my MALE FRIEND looks at my chair and starts laughing at it. I immediately sit down in my blood and start crying. Thankfully I wore black sweatpants that day though…
My friend in drama class with me started her period and asked me for something ( I dont remember what she asked for ). Now we have been pretty good friends. She also asks me to check her just in case she bled through. Girls help girls its just a life rule

I got my period yesterday! I was in lunch(not cafeteria a classroom that I signed up to go to) and I was feeling wet so I asked to go to the restroom. I went and I saw a small bit of brown stuff in my underwear. I thought it was discharge. Then I wiped and I saw a bunch of blood on my toilet paper. Knowing it was my period, I put toilet paper in my underwear and went back to the classroom. I thought it would be weird to ask to go again so I just sat there for a few minutes. then I grabbed a pad (that I had because I was educated and prepared)and asked to go again then put it in and then emailed my mom during the next class. I wasn't scared just freaked out that it was actualy happening.
I was absolutely terrified when I first got mine. I have hemophobia (fear of blood) so as you can imagine, it was a NIGHTMARE. Does anyone have any tips on how to not be that scared of them? If you do, please let me know I can't cope with it 😭😭

I got it . I was at school then . As I got up the teacher quickly saw and told me to sit down. He gave me his cardigan to tie around and said to clean up at the nurses office. After all the I walked into class and everyone was congratulating me. I was so embarrassed but he’s a life save.

My first period story: I think it was summer going into 7th grade, and I was having my birthday party (first one where it was both guys and girls) at a beach. I don’t remember specifics but I was freaking out cuz it was my first one and I had never used anything before, much less a tampon. so my friend was at the house and she had to wait like 30 extra minutes because I couldn’t figure out how to put it in, my mom tried to help me but it wasn’t working. I ended up just putting shorts on over my suit and hoped it would be fine(it was, we were in the water most of the time, and it was light cuz it was my first) i later told my best friend ( who had never used a tampon at the time) that I couldn’t get it to go in, and she said, “Just shove it in, it’s not that hard” so ig it could’ve been worse, but it was still embarrassing at the moment.
I got my first period on April fools day, I immediately called my mom and she gave me lots of tips, but I knew what to do because of Sharon’s videos so thank you

When I got mine, like an hour before I guess, I lied to my friend and said I had mine ( I didn’t ) so she asked me to go to the bathroom with her. We got there and I went to a stall looked down and screamed. I think this was the universe's way of telling me never to lie 😅

okay, this isn't my first but it was VERY recent, so get ready.
so it started out with my sis (she lives in Texas) coming over. my pepal (grandfather) asked if we wanted to go on a trip.. a camping trip. There was no wifi or given internet, and I didn't have wifi yet so I could BARELY communicate with others. at the time I knew my period was getting more regular, but I didn't have a day or time period in which I usually get my period. I was cramping SO BAD the entire week before hand (so was my sis) and knew it would be coming soon, but I still packed barely any pads. on abt the second or third day of the trip (it was a week long trip), I got my period. IT WAS PROBABLY THE HEAVIEST PERIOD ILL EVER HAVE. before this, all my periods where a literal drop a day 💀- AND I ALMOST ALWAYS THROW UP WHEN I SEE BLOOD, ESPECIALLY ON TV. I had Abt two to three pads, all paper thin and SO uncomfortable 😞😫🙏.. I told my sis since we opened up abt periods that trip, and she helped a ton. she made a diy pas with toilet paper from a random PUBLIC bathroom, and it survived an entire night. (barely, and btw just never even try toilet paper bc it still ruined all of my underwear💀)
I'ma cut to the point now bc this is long, but I had to text my mom with the bar of wifi I had, and she CALLED MY PEPAL AND TOLD HIM. IM SORRY BUT I COULD NEVER EVER TELL HIM OR ANYONE FAMILY WISE ABT THAT STUFF 😭 (I'm just not comfortable with it ☝️😃) he had to take me to dollar general and let me pick out what I wanted 😔 I'm still traumatized to this day bc his face was disgusted and that disgusted me 🖐️

When I started my period mine lasted for 12 days all super heavy. Dealt with that for a year and then started on birth control at 12 because it was not healthy and it was dangerous. I now have 6 days still fairly heavy even though I'm on birth control

I leaked at school once right when I got there and I got up and saw the red on the chair, I was so embarrassed because I woke up late and didn’t have time to change my pad in the morning. I went to the nurse and she asked my size and let in the bathroom to put a new pad in and she gave me new underwear and pants, thankful for her ❤
My first period was a bit of a nightmare for me. I was in science class I had to go to the bathroom and thought nothing of it. As I sat down and saw the blood stain on my underwear and immediately started freaking out. I had 20 minutes left of my class and decided to wait to get a pad from my friend after class. When I get back to class my MALE FRIEND looks at my chair and starts laughing at it. I immediately sit down in my blood and start crying. Thankfully I wore black sweatpants that day though…

I had it a few days before and thought it was poop. So, I just scrubbed harder around my coochie and then I realized I HAD IT ON A SCHOOL TRIP! I went to the bathroom when I got there and was very worried. I told my teacher and made me go to the adults toilets so when I came out I felt like everyone knew because everyone wanted me to sit with them (I AIN'T POPULAR) . When The trip was over and I went to school, I told my friends and litterally everyone went BOMBASTIC! They told a boy and guess what? I am now always gaven pads cuz idk why but i feel royal.
I just told my boyfriend that I was on my period to see if he is a real one once I said I felt weird he was a little confused so I told him and he responded with "oh so that's what is, it's okay! From what I heard it sounds painful." And when lunch came he got me a bottle of water and some chocolate, I feel like I met my soulmate 😭❤️

I got my period yesterday! I was in lunch(not cafeteria a classroom that I signed up to go to) and I was feeling wet so I asked to go to the restroom. I went and I saw a small bit of brown stuff in my underwear. I thought it was discharge. Then I wiped and I saw a bunch of blood on my toilet paper. Knowing it was my period, I put toilet paper in my underwear and went back to the classroom. I thought it would be weird to ask to go again so I just sat there for a few minutes. then I grabbed a pad (that I had because I was educated and prepared)and asked to go again then put it in and then emailed my mom during the next class. I wasn't scared just freaked out that it was actualy happening.
