Great stuff - will work wonders on some of my "old" models. One question tho - does varnishing the model affects the final results? Will it strip down with water or stay in place?
Kruku88 hi, varnishing the model will affect the reflection of light but should not affect the chipping effect. the final color will be stripped down by using a wet paint brush. thanks for your watching

when you apply varnish after chipping, the final outcome will become the same colour tone, that is all matt or all gloss. It seems not realistic.
What's the ratio and what pressure is yohr compressor at please. I've subbed.
Rc-Nerd I usually use 20 psi when spraying vallejo paint on models
did you use thinner in with the chipping medium and if so what ratio ?
yes, I have mix 2-3 drops of thinner with 10 drops of chipping medium
Do I need to apply a layer of gloss varnish on the base paint before putting on chipping medium ?
no need to apply extra gloss varnish before chipping medium
@@pmstore ok thanks
is it possible to use chipping over the surface of the lacquer paint?
It seems impossible because you cannot chip off the lacqure base paint by water. Therefore, I don't recommend to do so🙂
I mean, primer is lacquer, and top is acrilic - chipping - and the last acrilic paint, is that possible?
@@ivansutanto89 yes, if anything a lacquer base coat is better, just make sure the coat you plan to chip up is not lacquer
Thank you
