It always seems so lonely when driving in the snow. Can't see too far ahead, and there's no sunshine. But a fresh snow cover on a bright blue day is absolutely glorious.
You remind me so much of my eldest son. He always has fishing poles and his tackle box in his truck and work truck. When he had the time after finishing up a job, he was out fishing. LOL!! So glad that you can take time out for yourself and do something you enjoy! Be safe out there! God Bless!!
When I lived in Aurora Colorado I went thru some of the worst hail storms. It could be a great day and afternoon comes and you would see the clouds coming over the mountains and knew it wasn't just a matter of time. Lightning was also crazy. Straight cloud to earth. Be safe out there on the roads as everyone depends on truck drivers to get products delivered.
Used to be a RR on the left (west) side of the road. I hopped a freight train from Twin Falls to Wells in August 1965, riding between 2 boxcars in rain nd snow for 6+ hours.

It be 103 F here in Sweetwater TX. 6-8-20 at 6:10 PM CDT. When I lived up in Colorado we would get those chinook winds like hurricane winds several times a year. I lived between Nederland and Central City off the peak to peak highway. The last year I lived there we got snow on the 4th of July. And frost was regular at night all summer long. And we weren't even above the tree line.

Slight amount of snow on Sunday east of Meacham and south of Baker City. I thought we were getting close to Summer. I did notice today that a Love`s truck stop is being constructed as Madras today.
This is in-frigging credible.....it's 2020, but in the accursed year 2022, in Central Texas, from May to August it was over 100 degrees EVERY day......I am older than dirt, not older than rocks, but we have never had heat like this....and You are driving in snow and ice in June----mein Gott ist ein great comedian. gl

Reminds me of being in Yellowstone in early September a few years ago and this ole Jawjah boy who is used to seeing it snow here where we live maybe once every 10 years was caught in a snow storm! We got out of it safely but very unexpected and a little scary for someone not used to driving in it!

Yep, typical weather out in the west. This year its been a bit wilder though. Hit near 100, had golf ball sized hail, wind gusts up to 75, and snow here in Utah. There's a few inches of snow up in the Uintahs on Hwy 191 and on SR44. Saturday we had severe weather with winds strong enough to blow roofs off, trees over, power lines down, and bent the flag poles at the county building on main. My sister lives up in Jerome, but I haven't been up that way in a few years. Stat safe out there! Oh BTW, nice catch! Was that the Salmon Falls creek?
Change the subject a little bit I really believe what I'm seeing is a flat Earth there is no curvature in this long desolate desert in Nevada northern Nevada it is flat do you see any curvature I don't so I really believe the Earth is flat I don't know what shape it is but it is flat

See, the beautiful thing is...its going to happen weather you "believe" it or not...that's how reality works. I say this respectfully. Sea levels are rising, shrinking islands. This in turn all round the world changes weather patterns. Pacific nw is becoming hotter and drier. Lots of little pieces combine to create change. Our kids or their kids and grandkids will have to deal with it. Think in centuries instead of years...

Used to hit snowstorms all the time in July. Out West it's about elevation not what month it is.

There was little hail falling week ago in south Mississippi close to I-10, but it's not like it never happened before
