Nick gives excellent advice. The experience he has in bridging the gap between cultures is invaluable . I have had my residence visa since 2010 and though I've always rented I have heard the sad stories by the hundreds. It is usually assumption that hurts people. Don't assume its the same in Ecuador as back home. Assume it is not. What Nick says about reputation is also absolutely true. Vilcabamba is the small town people here in the USA are nostalgic for. Your reputation will arrive ahead of you in Vilca. I lived in the town for five years or so. I've been away, chores up north then the lockdown, but next week I'll be back in the sacred valley for good. Hasta la vista pronto amigos y vecinos.

Hey Guys, thanks for the informative interview. Would be very interesting to watch Santiago with his construction team in a video on a building side. Unfortunately I couldnt find pictures or videos of the houses your company has build, Nick. Do you have some to present?

Great interview! We bought our property from Nick and Santiago back in 2009. Such a good investment for us, and still always good to run into these gentlemen.

Joe, where is your home located in comparison to downtown Vilca? The climate sounds ideal.

We are just South. About 1500 feet higher.

Great to see you are doing so well, Nick! What a beautiful initiative to work on, looks like a new world in a beter place on earth! Are you still not not allowed to travel in Equador without a vaccin and need to do a test? Stay well, greeny! Much ❤️ Anoek from The Netherlands.

I will let Nick respond to you more...However, we have been moving quite freely around Ecuador for over a year. The President announced the Pandemic as "Over". Starting today, we need NOTHING to board an airplane in Ecuador.

Great to hear from you Anoek. All restrictions have been discontinued now in Ecuador, as far as I am aware. Things are looking up here, especially given the degree to which things are falling apart in Europe and the US. Vilcabamba is "on the up" yet again. I hope you are doing great, regardless, and find a safe haven somewhere from all the madness over there. The Dutch government is completely out of their minds, and look like they're going to need to be taken down by force. Crazy!

Thank you Nick, yes crazy times and not yet over, more to come. The Netherlands is more deep state than I ever thought. Lets see where we are after winter, at least I can do my job and pay the bills so far. Stay well, and all bests in heavenly Equador!
