Essential Craftsman and Dave Ramsey rejected by this Contractor

- This video is in response to Essential Craftsman’s video as to contractors buying new trucks. I do agree with most of the comments made by Essential Craftsman but I give an alternative view as to the old versus new truck argument. Dave Ramsey is also quoted later in his video and I give my response as a contractor concerning Mr Ramsey.

Did you actually watch his video? The points that you addressed doesn’t match up with what he said. His message was to make intelligent decisions in regards to finances to help grow and stay afloat if times get hard. If you’re going to make a rebuttal video at least be intellectually honest with your content.
Easy friend I watched it 2 times and listened to it at our job at least 4 times. I’ve been around many contractors that truck or tool shame others and to be honest I think he was doing a little of that. There’s nothing wrong with his advice nor mine. I’m an extremely conservative person so my question to you is did you even watch my video? I never said rebuttal did I or was it another take on that subject.
@@campbellbuilt I did watch your video in its entirety. When you share a difference of opinion and imply that the other person is incorrect that is a rebuttal. Your opinion is as valid as anyone else’s but if you take someone’s words out of context or misquote them it becomes dishonest whether you mean for it to or not. Maybe overlay others videos and comment on them. Good luck with your channel.
@danielholter1861 so we did do a overlay video and never uploaded it because of TH-cams very vague rules. The fence guy or whatever his name is did a overlay video of one of RenoVision’s videos. RenoVision complained to YT and Fence Guy got a strike so I’m unclear as to what is allowed. As I said in our video I agree with most of EC points if not all also, I don’t believe I miss quoted him or you would have singled out a particular point that I said and if I did that was not my intention. Appreciate the comment.

Personally the more base model thing I can get that's 4x4 with an 8' box and I can get 600k outta it I'm fine. Don't even need a radio, give me a manual shift transfercase, manual hubs and a single cab.

You can’t go wrong with a simple truck
I've been window shopping trucks online, and it seems like there aren't many 8' beds out there. There's more trucks with 2 seats and a small bed than long ones, and that doesn't make any sense to me.
@Excalibur2 Dealers won’t typical order 8’ trucks in, I’ve been told that exact statement from them. Their afraid of getting stuck with it supposedly.

You're struggling to make the point fellas let alone win the argument. What's the price of a 2002 transmission compared to 2022 transmission!! The 2002s last longer too!
A 2022 1/2 ton has the same towing capacity of what the 2002 3/4 ton does and far better fuel mileage. The diesels get a little more complicated as whether to own new or not. I’ve owned both and I can tell you the only reason I didn’t like the new truck was possible body damage when on the work site.

I don't think it makes sense to extrapolate what one home owner said to what all home owners think.
Sorry I already extrapolated what client said. These are my experiences and not exclusive to one person. I have had other people complain when we showed up with new equipment that they had most likely paid for it. Really your 2500 to 3000 dollar job paid for this equipment, nope thats not who we want as clients. I want clients that respect us as professionals and not look at us as second class citizens.
Power Wagon would be sweet for work especially with the diesel but really not practical.
