I prefer hearing about quality products that are reliable over new releases. So no worries that you repeatedly mention them! New releases are hit or miss.
I love hearing about older products that are great! Like you said, quality. There is so much at Sephora and online that’s been around for years and I know nothing about them
Risa, I’m so glad that you deepened your roots and then lightened as you went down and incorporated some deep underneath. The reason I’m saying this is because it looks like you are gray exactly like me. Upfront. And every time I try to get my hair the blonde I wanted it would look thinner and thinner. The deeper color really has made it look thicker and it’s so much easier to match with root spray. Plus, you look so much more vibrantand you’re not disappearing in your hair color. I’m not saying this to be passive aggressive or ugly at all, this is meant with the most heartfelt happiness that you found a shade of color that absolutely brings out all your STUNNING features. ❤
I enjoyed this video. Repurchasing products is a good thing, it means they are being used. With all PR and testing you do it must difficult to stay with your favorites. So happy you shared this video. By the way, you look so pretty. Have a great day 😊❤💗
Love your honesty on the products you highlight. I am a 71 yo woman and recently started using the Huda loose setting powder under my eyes. It works great on my skin. As you might imagine, I have a lot of lines! I prep with Almond oil, let it sink in, then apply my concealer. Apply the Huda powder and it looks great all day! It does not accentuate the lines and actually diminishes the look of them. I also apply it to the large pores around my nose and cheeks. Keep up the good work you are doing Risa. I learn so much from you!
Love the L’oreal setting spray but not for the non-transferring properties. I spray it on right after foundation/concealer & let it dry down for a minute or so & then powder, then the rest of my makeup. Makes my make last ALL day.
@@Thepw1I didn’t care for it as a final setting spray because I felt like it left me too dewy for my taste, but I didn’t want to waste it either. Hope it works for you☺️
Hi Risa! Another great video on makeup. I love makeup, believe I missed my calling. I will look into Georgio Armani…that would be new to me. Currently using L’Oréal foundation and Olay cleanser, etc. Used to use higher end makeup, cleansers so Armani definitely in the mix! Thanks for sharing, have a great day!
Risa, I will never tire of hearing about what products you use the most often and why.😊 If that's a product that was developed decades ago, and/or you talk about it frequently, so be it, I want to know it's your favorite and that you reach for it the most!! I value you and all the advice/recommendations you give us so much.
I tried the Too Faced powder under my eyes, and I think it actually makes the concealer under my eyes darker 😭 But I love the Living Proof heat protectant!
I love these videos because they really show the most loved products. Thank you. I lovvvve the Hourglass Ambient Glow foundation over my Nars Light Reflecting, Armani Luminous Silk, and Guerlain Terracotta Le Teint. I don't have oily skin nor dry, just very mature skin. Hourglass just checks all the boxes for me. I do like and use the Tree Hut shaving oil. However, it makes the shower floor or bottom of the tub, SLICK. Be careful.
Ohmeeeegosh Risa!!! I just applied the Kiss nails you recommend. They are my favorite color, which is fuschia. Which foundation did you use on your clients the most? Would you do a video filled with products you used on clients?? Happy black Friday ❤
I had no idea some products, powders were more suitable for oily skin!! 72 yo, Extreme oily skin, to the point of greasy. Hot flashes have returned tho not as intense; yr round sweat-face, scalp. So many older folks are always cold, I’ve asked my Dr when will I cool off?? I just learned a lot! Thank you, Risa!
Oh I love these videos, and I have so many favourites. I use a skin tint more in the summer but in winter I tend to love Charlotte Tilbury beautiful skin foundation. Benefit gimme brow in 03 light brown, Mac studio fix compact powder, Maybelline instant age rewind concealer, Mac frankly Scarlett blush, Clarins mascara, Guerlain bronzer usually on my cheeks and eyes and some sort of lipstick or Clinique chubby stick gloss in different colours. Great for running a few errands ❤❤. Great video!!!!!
Loved your video today. I think I am going to purchase your Holy Grail products that I need. You talk about them quite often and if you do then they must be some of the best. I enjoy you very much and I believe you really enjoy trying to help us find the right products or not others that are not the best. Thank you again 😃
I just turned 40 and have combo skin - my oils can dissolve my makeup in my tzone especially in summer if I don’t wear the right primer and foundation but because I am combo I can lean dry on the outer portions of my face - that combo of the hourglass ambient soft glow foundation with specifically the hourglass airbrush vanish primer ( this one controls my oil breakthrough in my tzone but does not overly dry my face out ) is the only foundation & primer combination I own anymore 😆
I absolutely love your make up in this video actually all the videos you make up is always on point and flawless. Would you please let us know what you’re wearing on your lips? It’s so stunning.❤❤❤❤
Loved this Risa! I think I'm on my 3rd can of the Loreal setting spray. So good! Not only does my makeup actually stay in place all day, it gives your skin such a perfected finish! You look gorgeous!❤😊😊
I’ve been following your channel for a while now and am loving the advice and recommendations. I use the Armani foundation but although it goes on nicely it always breaks up on my nose even after I’ve just applied it. Can you advise me why and what I can do to rectify this? What primer do you use when you use it? I hope you can answer my question-Thank you
Great recs, Risa! Smashbox used to have a blotting product that was sooo good, but I don't see it on their website now. I've gone more dry in my mature years, now 61, so it's not something I would use. I know others would benefit, though. I like a lot of the Living Proof products. Their advanced volumizing dry shampoo is amazing.
Love so many of the same! Tree Hut shave oil: Moonlight Glow is my new favorite! Also love the living proof heat protector. What is your favorite body makeup and would you do a tutorial?
Hey, Risa! I know that you’ve mentioned dry under eye setting powders before, but I’ve drawn a complete blank! I’m not oily at all anymore, and I have dry nature skin(I’m 53). What product do you suggest for me to set my concealer??? Thank you so much!!! I just live all of your content!!!❤️❤️❤️
Hi Risa.Do you still use the One Size primer under the GA silk foundation? I remember you first using it,and it felt like a lightbulb moment, for oily skin(though I’m the opposite end of that spectrum!) x
You look beautiful as always and I have to say, you were the inspiration for me to start my own channel. I am 51 as well! I only wish I had started years ago. Thank you for giving over 40's a voice on youtube. I have watched you for years :)
RE:the MAC Blot....I have oily skin too and it's textured with very large pores as well as old acne scarring. My question is: what I usually use for touching up oily breakthrough as well as just...well, like the name says, finishing, lol.😆, is the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finishing powder and my compact of that, with a triangular puff, stays in my purse for touchups. Since I do already have and use that, but I'm always game for elevating my makeup game to look better (well, who isn't?), do you think that I should get the MAC, Fenty, or Too Faced because I may prefer the results (since you and I seem to have similar skin types)? I also don't mind having more than one of everything. Also do you think that the Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless loose finishing powder is a pretty solid affordable dupe for the Huda Easy Bake? Not that the Huda is astronomically expensive and I've been wanting to try that....anyway. Just curious. Happy (late) Thanksgiving, hope you and yours had a great holiday!
The dot me powder has become my number 1!! It’s sooo good for oily textured skin with large pores smooths me out. I top it with physicians formula glow powder. Perfection!!
I’ve been watching long enough to know some of your holy grails and I’ve purchased a couple. Yes! HUDA Beauty loose powder and yes to the tree hut shave oil! I must have them! Always looking for a good setting spray too. Have a great weekend! Hugs 💖
Thanks for the recommendations! I agree that the Mac Blot powder is really good! Do you think you could do some videos on hidden gems from different companies like MAC hidden gems?
Risa, I’m also 51 and am very oily esp in the tzone but also all over. Do you have a drugstore powder you love? I see the ones you recommended here and may look for a Black Friday deal but in general I need a drugstore dupe. I’ve tried them all and am not in love with any. You are the GOAT!! Thank you so much!
I am 72 and I STILL have oily skin! The plus is, I don’t look 72! And I’m betting you don’t look 51!! The drugstore loose powder that l love is the Wet and Wild translucent powder. I prefer this over just about all of my higher end loose powders. And I learned about this powder because of Risa! Great price and easy to find!
Hey Risa !!!Have you tried the Nair Leg Mask!!!!Best depilatory item I have ever tried !!!No unpleasant smell and your skin will stay smooth and soft for days and also slows down the regrowth significantly!!!I'm a hairy girlie and this is wonderful stuff !!!I used to shave my legs every day in Summer but i find i can go for at least 5 to 6 days !!!No regrowth !!!Magic !!!I'm just wandering if you have Nair brand in USA???I'm in Australia !!BTW Love your content , alway current and relevent for young and older ladies !!!THANKYOU!!!!!😁😘🥰🥰❤❤❤
I know The Armani foundation is way expensive but I am like you ill keep repurchasing even if I know its over priced. And for the Shave Oil I also like the Moroccan Rose and the Ocean Glow. I see they had a peppermint I may get to try for the holidays.
This darker blonde hair looks brilliant on you. I didn't like the L'Oreal setting spray. If too much is sprayed it will ruin the foundation. And it burns my eyes and doesn't keep me matte unfortunately 😂. Huda powder is lovely but it doesn't keep me matte either. I'm super oily like you, but my skin is sensitive.
I hear ya, nothing keeps me truly matte all day- no powder, primer nor foundation. The setting spray doesn’t claim to be mattifying though, so I don’t fault it for that. I love it for how transfer proof it makes my makeup. I would also recommend covering your eyes before applying any setting spray. That’s what I do a lot because my eyes are sensitive as well.
What happened with the Estee Lauder? Didn’t you say once it was your holy grail? I would never change it to another one I’m 59 and love it❤why don’t you do giveaways to your viewers😊
I do still love it but because I don’t have a perfect shade I have several bottles that I mix either together or with other foundations. Therefore I don’t have a need to repurchase often. I probably buy a bottle once every 2 years.
What a great concept for a video! I've grown tired of "new-new-new"!!! I need to know what's best, and this is SO helpful!
I prefer hearing about quality products that are reliable over new releases. So no worries that you repeatedly mention them! New releases are hit or miss.
I love hearing about older products that are great! Like you said, quality. There is so much at Sephora and online that’s been around for years and I know nothing about them

I like your darker hair colour… looks great ❤
I absolutely love your hair color. The low lights look great on you!
Risa, I’m so glad that you deepened your roots and then lightened as you went down and incorporated some deep underneath. Your hair looks stunning - the colours are richer and really suit you 💕💕💕
Your new hair color looks beautiful on you!
Great video! Your hair is stunning...love the color.😊

Hair color is on-point!!! Love this type of video!!!!
Love the L’oreal setting spray but not for the non-transferring properties. I spray it on right after foundation/concealer & let it dry down for a minute or so & then powder, then the rest of my makeup. Makes my make last ALL day.
Thanks for that tip! I have it and like it ok, but I’m going to try this method and see how it works.

I love that foundation: Armani Luminous Silk...5.1. I totally agree with you.I have been using it for years!😊

You are STUNNING ❤❤

I use light.

The Moroccan rose scent in the tree hut is beautiful
Tropic Glow is my favorite!
Thanks, Risa. Btw - LOVE your earrings. Please share where you bought them!
Thank you! They are YSL and I bought them at the boutique here in Vegas.

I'm like you Risa - have very oily skin at 53 !
Love your videos, Risa! Tree Hut Shave Oil is the best. This time of year, I stock up on the peppermint. Yummy!! 🍬
I have never seen the Armani foundation. I guess I will look fo it.
I will miss my Givenchy Prisme Libre forever !!!!! Why did they changed perfection?? Great video like always.
Hey Risa I know before you said about the foundation we all know how much you love it
By the way your hair looks beautiful see you soon ❤
