Cannot wait to see how AI and cities will play out hopefully later this year, the town walls coming in the next patch will be very interesting and new mechanics like butchers, barns for farming storage and hopefully more on the warfare side of things will be in the works over the next year as well. What would you like to see next? Let me know in the comments below!

Why post a video about the update nearly 2 months late? We are ALL hip to it already
>covers a small game like manor lords
>shills for instant gaming a site that gives like 0% of the income to manor lords dev
@@INFJ-ThaneTralso, this likely wont be the next patch. Slavis working on moving the game to UE5 right now
I want cozier things like festivals, musicians, traveling players, holy days, a harvest mode (where everyone stops work to harvest the fields) etc. Things which make the town feel lees like an ant farm and more like a living, breathing place.
this sounds like a very cool idea
I thought i wanted cavalry until i read your comment...😅
@@hubris7434 be cool if the serfs actually reacted to the lord when walks around
Harvest mode you have already - you do not need to employ permanently 8 farmers in a farm, when season rolls around for crop harvest just unemploy folks working less important works and fill up slots on farms for harvest.
Holidays and little things peasents do on own tho that would be nice flavouring
@@RichardPhillips1066Yep! I love that in Ghost of Tsushima!!
As a software developer, I want him to take his time. I'd rather him finish a complete game, than burn out and rush to shit out a turd.

Yeah. No one could truly understand what it takes even to make some web page. I'm afraid even to think what it takes to develop game like this single handedly
Hello star citizen
I’d love to see pigs and cows . Where we can also utilize the meat and hides from them as well .
Ooh and that opens up the potential for dairy farming! That'd be cool
That’s high on my list too. Seriously, the goat shed houses: just add it so they passive generate both hides and meat. That would be pretty easy to do I think.
Goat can be milk right, another source for food. So it is more diverse, my town got less diverse food when my berries was deforest. 😅 @@Smethells2023

I want to evolve my little village with a small wooden wall into a THICC stone wall city
More technologies, more jobs, more diplomatic options, more resources, more territories, more talks with the count and the king...
agree 100%. Also, you gain new families and need more gold.
disease is a CK3 DLC and people hate it
Not exactly. Disease was a free update. The dlc just contained all the legend stuff
Why the fuck does that matter? People don’t hate disease they hate that it was done poorly. People loved disease in ck2
dude this line of thinking is why all games are horrific nowadays and copy the same stale shit from game to game. it's not the idea, its because it was poorly executed. any concept can make a great mechanic if done right
I have been playing a lot and like the use of sheep for wool, but I think they should also be a source of meat. That was a very common resource of that period. Having to balance killing your sheep for meat and still have a source of wool would add another very good dimension to the management aspect. It could be added to the sheep breeding development point.
Early Access for a small team of devs makes sense to me. Let the community participate in developing through testing and giving feedback. AAA games are criticized if they launch into an EA because they should have a dedicated QA department
I'm pretty sure Manor Lords is being made by just one person so early access is even more important.
Adding ai on map before the other stuff can become a real slowdown for dev since it will have to be balanced all the time after implementation. Adding maps, walls and siege mechanics, industries etc. first would allow ai dev with all features in place and thus avoid potential massive amount of iterations.
My thoughts as well. It’s fantastic that things are being looked at democratically/based off what the community wants. Realistically however, more industries, policies, techs, maps, diplomacy, etc, would be better to implement first- both to add replayability while we wait but also because this is stuff the AI is going to need to work around too. It’s generally harder to add stuff later with AI, than it is to just wait, get all the basics covered and polish, THEN add your AI and tweak it to where it works properly. Just my 2¢. I wish him all the best.
Castles are fine, only if they add to strategy. I miss strategy games that pushed you into different strategies according to the type of castle.
The developer hasn't stopped cooking and he's showing no signs of slowing down
The one thing I'd like to see most is the ability to remap all commands, specifically, the Run command for army units. I like to use the "R" key for "rotate view", and it messes up my troops, unless I'm paying strict attention.
A butcher shop, where one could send oxen, sheep, lambs, and goats for meat and hides.
A winery to process berries into wine.
It would be cool if the bakers could make berry and meat pies.
Small amounts of gold and silver found in iron and clay mines that would add to the regional coffers. Maybe a mint later to produce coins with the coat of arms and stylized portraits on them.
Fishing would be nice.
I would love something nobody talks about:
A new stable building for your manor so you can convert your retinue into knights/ horseman and cav
As an extra upgrade they would bring a whole new level to the game
You only should have a few but they should be a decisiv force in a battle
Summary: Next update is Siege, Castles, AI, & Diplomacy.
What I wanted to see in the AI opponent is to have an adaptive approach in warfare based on your settlement's development, army, and strengths. If your settlement revolves around farms, he will attack you with raiding archers and light troops/brigands on different sides of region and prioritize destruction of your farms and granary with the priority to avoid battle, then force you to an early negotiation or until his main heavy stack army arrives. If your settlement relies on trade and cross-region barter, the AI makes sure to besiege you by sending light troops to destroy your main supply hubs carrying your main resource trades, your mines, and ensuring your trade will be disrupted, again before the main heavy stack is mustered. The same way also AI adapts at your attack, by AI recognizing the army you muster, be it light, heavy, etc.
You can win battles but not the war, and war must be so destructive that you should avoid it, and war has a lot of depth not only to lost of men, but also on small skirmishes, raids, and disruptions that happens despite in small scale. Losing your granary to a light quick raiders carrying all that food 12 months food and getting your 10 morgen farm destroyed because you thought you will only engage his main army is good enough to stop the war immediately to rebuild, therefore losing in something you didn't expect. Skirmishes also should be part of the siege update, as siege not only happens as an encirclement of a castle, but a strangle and denial of resource to the entire town without committing to a decisive battle.
I would also love to see different armies and sizes according to the level of towns the ai got
So if they got many villages the have a big army of light troops if they got just a town a small army but better equipped so you also have to adapt for your enemy
As a bonus a loot mechanic would be cool so you could also skirmish in the ais territory
But maybe it reduces your influence and kings favor cause he is unhappy with his subordinates fighting euch other
I got the game two days ago. I've been looking for a city builder for a while, just to have a relatively cozy game to relax and grind on, and with Manor Lords, I think I've found it. Glad this came up from searching. 👌
Try Farthest Frontier much better game at the moment
Men, we must be cautious of the desire for constant updates. Don't forget, there was a time when games would be released out onto the world for its own merit. The game feels well and complete with me. Good fun
How? It's barely playable at the moment and you have very little control over many mechanics are clearly just a rushed placeholder like the whole marketplace feature. It's very very shallow compared to games like Ostriv.
@qwe5qwe566 That can be the game. Didn't like it. Refund or next one. Instead of constantly updating a charming but shoddy game for 5 years, Two Worlds got a sequel that addressed much of the issues. Instead of watching it pieced together over months. Do I want to play 76 because it got a CC update, or play Post Scriptorim for its new maps? No, they're years old, my fun was had after I got them.
I really hope I don't sound like an oaf trying to explain my opinion
More cows. I don't mean like a higher number of cows, I mean like cow variety. I want a town that specializes in cows from around the realm. Highland cows. Those weird skinny Indian cows. Texas Longhorns for some reason. Those giant Norwegian boys with the weird, straight horns, some bison, both American and European, maybe even an aurochs or two. Sure those last ones aren't technically cows, but I don't care.
Even floppier hats. My hat flops, but it doesn't like FLOOOP you know?
With just one AI opponent the game is shallow.
Yeah definitely needs a more dynamic AI presence
It’s really good looking but boring as all hell as it stands.
@@TheTerminatorGaming Building walls ! Building bridges ! Canals ! Rivers ! Settlement design ! Decorative objects etc

I really want to see more rivers and lakes being used! Water wheels to power lumber yards and fishing. Irrigation of land. All medieval settellments were close to water
Thanks for this. I don't have twitter or reddit.
Side note:
I feel like Manor Lords has made it real, in that we seem to be in a golden age of independent development in the video game industry. Ironically, we should be thanking AAA publishers like EA, Ubisoft, Microsoft, and Epic for their contributions to this era, because they can't seem to stop pushing broken and unfinished games out the door for immediate profit, or mothballing beloved IP's. People have gotten tired of it, and have decided "we can do it ourselves, and do it better."
Forgot how nice the music is in Manor Lords.
I understand what he’s doing and I think that’s stupid right now. The game should be more before he starts switching over. There’s literally only handful of hours of gameplay then you’re done. It gets boring. I built up a city built up a massive town and haven’t touched it since I think what he should do right now before he starts trying to fiddle with it and put it on a new engine and stuff and get the game where it’s more to do for the players before starting to transfer it so we have more to do right now the game is bare and it’s boring. I had high hopes, but since it’s released, there’s only been very few updates and made those there been minor changes in bug fixes which I appreciate, but I want more and I want to play the game to the game I said I build up my town to the point where I’m self-sufficient is not much to the Lord and after you do that well that it that’s my opinion. I understand what it’s doing and I still appreciate it and I think it’s a good idea but I think before he starts transferring it should get to a point where it can be stuff transferred over because they’re delaying themselves see them further after they transferred over They end up delaying themselves even further updates because then they’re gonna have to update everything which is gonna take them longer, which is again not worth my opinion at least not yet unless it was more to do. I just say don’t try to update it or try to transfer it until this more. Thank you for reading this. I know it’s very long
I love this game, Thank you so much for keeping us updated!
Great video! You should consider doing these type of videos more often, summing up Manor Lords news
That's the plan! ❤️
More AI enemies is definitely a plus, but I wonder if there’s a way to add Calvary, I feel I can’t play a game if there’s no cav for some reason 🐴
My family name originates from the German Cüntz so I don’t want it to change 😂
If you offer walls, there should be consequences if your town burns down. How about it costing resources to rebuild the buildings? Seems like a reasonable trade off because you have the option to protect the town better now?
There s much to come still for years (i hope). Thicc town stone walls and forts/castles. Sieges, naval warfare, city building extensions etc.
I want this game to be like as big as total war empire with lots of AI towns/empires. Basically Medieval without turns
i think greg should focus on the most important issues first before going for other stuff, like right now the granary and and storehouses are broken. they dont listen to what you tell them to do, if you disable everything and leave only allow berries open..they still stuff it with other things like bread etc...and this also goes into their stall which can lead to very unpleasant issues. like i imported for 700 gold linnen and everything ended up in stalls from stores that i disallowed to use linnen...its a mess. fixed it by destroying that stall but still..
same issue happened when i had like 2000 bread on like 150 people total..all granaries were helping with bread while i had disabled bread flour and grain on all but one dedicated to this job...leaving all stalls empty on other food...only had bread in every stall
also its near impossible to get 100% stall all the time cause i think its set to max storage of 100%...so if you have 12 population its will only put in 12 resources...just up that number to 110 or 120% max storage so you will have a little buffer to avoid getting these annoying notifications about running out of fuel...you check and its at 97% and a few seconds/minutes later and its to 100% again
Props to the developer and his small team!
Wasn't seeing that alot in the comments just wanna clear it out, awesome feedback and activ developing team u see rarly these days AND actually asking what should come next?!🎉😂
It's progress and good one at that. we will need more town regions for the AI town development etc. more regions the marrier.
Needs better combat also.
I’m not sure what's going on with the like-dislike ratio on this video, but I thought this video was fantastic! Keep up the great work-I’m now a subscriber!
Thank you! I mean it's sitting at 95% likes which is a bit lower than average but still decent :) Glad you enjoyed it :)
Terminator, can you see me? Or am I still in youtube jail?
🤣🤣
No jokes, I have commented on every single video you've made in the last two months and this is the first time my comment has stayed up after I closed the comment section.
Pvp mode when? It makes more sense to just have a open game with four players instead of one stupid ai. I feel like it would be faster to develop
This game made me take a deep dive into City Builders and I very quickly picked up Frostpunk which is excellent.
I really didn’t think I’d like this genre but it’s like a breath of fresh air coming away from the TW and Paradox games which are still great but I think I’m just bored with them.
Been loving the game so far, but I'm taking a break until the next patch/update, I've got all the achievements and have done pretty much everything the game has to offer atm and even though I do still want to keep playing I don't want to end up getting bored of it before it's fully released. I Kind of just pop into the discord from time to time have some discussions and give my take every now and then while waiting for news on when I'll have another chance to spend my whole weekend on it XD
I was kinda disappointed with early access after playing the beta a few years ago, It seemed like pretty much the same game from a user PoV. Still interested in Manor Lords though, will be reinstalling for updates.
You will be disappointed as I was since nothing major has changed. Just a few stat chnages and bug fixes. Yet the game is still full of bugs but there was no update for a month because of transfer to new engine which surely brings new bugs so I'd wait at least a year now. This video is completely dishonest about current state of the game as well as nearly all streamers that helped to build the hype during its EA release.
How about a Fantasy world mode, where you build a fantasy medieval village/city on fantasy world. There will be many problem that player need to solve for their village with a unique way or method for each. Like if your village was being haunted by a black magic user you need to build a chapel of holy order to make your village being protected by a Paladin or priestess the counter of black magic user/witch that terrorized your village/city. Or if your village was occasionally attacked by a monster (troll, goblin, etc) you need to employeed a specific hunter/mercenary from a Hunter association guild building (Goblin Slayer, Troll hunter, etc) for solving that problem.
Why is nobody talking about the fact that he just promoted a grey market reseller?
It's fun to finally see what the guy I've been listening to months looks like, love your content T!
Aww thanks mate! ❤️❤️
i played it once or twice but was not realy grabbed by the overall gameplay, i remember being pretty disappointed not being able to build a castle town.
I’d like more points for the tech tree. It’s just too limiting. Also, maybe some efficiency boosts from the church with a service that costs some amount of food or something. I dunno.
Satisfactory made the switch and it took years, the game started as a building sim that will turn into a battle sim so it will fall flat 2 years from now when 1.0 releases
Manor Lords is an amazing game, I was so excited for it and it didn't disappoint
Love this game but it’s still got a loooooong way to go, hope it can keep people’s interest
I think the current bandits/ population growth system is not great, so i would slighly change and somewhat connect bandits and population growth systems.
Introduce an inn building. Both travellers and merchants stay there for a few days(it's upgradable). If your settlement has high approval and empty plots, some travellers may decide to permanently move in to your town. Some times bandits sneak in and you cant tell them apart from regular travellers and they steal goods to take to their camp.
If they steal enough goods the bandit camps get upgraded and become more difficult to attack over time if left to thier own devices.
Lets say: Tier 1 camps have 16 bandits. Tier 2 camps can have 32 with a tower. Tier 3 has a full wood fort with towers and 32 armoured bandits. Something like that...
Cant wait for a lot more content to be added to the game so i can go back to it :3
Gonna have to jump back in
Thanks
I think, that Greg, having this conversation with his audience and letting people to advice him, with their ideas - so being able to interact with the development to deliver the game the crowd actually WANTS, is a future of gaming developement. Its so super successfull thanks to that, that I think everyone else should, especially big stuidos should immediately change to that, or the gonna perish soon. I mean, how retarded it is with the CA’s total war degenerating exactly because they didnt wanna listen to NOBODY, sticking fingers in their ears while shouting LALALALALALA, is just the best example of that. This one guy just made bigger boom on the market, than they did with their last 3 titles combined! :D

I'd like to see dragons into the game.
I’m here be apart of the growth it could take a year for another update and I’d still play it’s that’s good as is already
Does anyone know if cavalry will be a thing?
Love this game. Personally, I think the regions are too small. Two or three regions should be cut from the map and their area distributed to the rest.
I cant wait for itvto be on par with banished
The battles in this game are tiny, I've seen bigger scraps at protest marches!
No new units? No crossbow units?
Not yet at least. But hopefully more soon I think there was something about new weapon animations being added in
they made millions they'll have no rush to implement new content
There should be stone castel
I think that not being able to implementat features like disease and famine is just an extreme lack of imagination.
One thing i do not like is that you nneed to build from scratch in new regions. I dont like that new region do not merge with the first one.
A progression system, like age of empires. From wood to stone castles.
And a small diplomatic system , make alliances and trade with ai factions
I wanna see cavalry
It's Cities skylines with war mod 😅
this is an amazaing game takes me vack to the days when rts pc games ruled the land lol. Id like to see an adjustable year with so many days per season. IE. Rimworld 15 day 60 day year or Qurtrains or something.. maybe not extatly the same but a 5 day season would be nice. actually build a noble family noble ranks ability to fight in combat . but yea this a great game with so much that could be done . Glad dev start with base game fixes & really polishing the game.i wish the the game dev Greg best of luck & cant wait see where this game goes... "no mans sky" right :)
co-op!
manor lords feels lonely. i need to see and AI creating its own town/kingdom too. that i can attack.
Don't care about war mechanic 😅😅 we need more variety of buildings, foods, economic system, hospital, more development points and choices etc.
I love the game ❤ keep it up
so theres not gonna be wall sieges in this game?😢 sad . All hopes crushed.
Instant gaming isn’t available in the US. I tried to buy a key for TW Pharaoh and was told none was available in the US. Fake news!
Is it on ps5?
Whose long dark dev?
Extra mechanics are always good, However, my problem with the game is the lack of color and flavor , it feels sterile , why is there no Campaign mode ? It's real shame such a interesting period of history but the game says nothing about it
all that zapping, no info
The question is when will it come to Xbox Console
How about a small group within your community that actively work to betray and rob your community? Maybe through banks and bringing enemies into your community? If they succeed they control everything to the point where the community isn't allowed to complain at all and don't know that this little group has even taken over. That would add some realism to the game.
AI cities ? Really ? LMAO. We dont even have a Triple A game that is AI created. There is no way in hell a indie game is going to be the first. Or did you guys mean NPC created Cities ? Theere is a difference these days.
Just a reminder for consumers, try not to pre purchase games or buy early access titles. It’s messed up the industry.
No thanx.
I am glad i did not pay anything to this thing. I tried it on gamepass. I cant and dont care to follow their useless updates or pathces or whatever sht you call, that fails to fix something but ruins other parts of the game. This is going to be the biggest scam. People are really naive and they deserve it.
18minutes video of bullshit you have to put theze ads in right? this video can be concluded in 2 minutes........
Multiplayer!!
I was shocked at his face reveal at the end. Looks like a soyboy 😮
The game needs more. More maps. And the RNG map placement AFTER you spend time creating your silly insignia, is incredibly tedious. That said, I really like the bones of the game. There's a lot of potential. But it needs more content more than it needs optimization.
Idk man promoting the game and then also promoting a keyseller where the SINGLE developer doesnt get any money at all is really not it. Shame. Dislike.
40 € is a very hefty price for having no pressure to develope it.. i think the dev should get pressure. If they think it's unfair they maybe should have gone for a price thats fair...
"no pressure to develop it."
uh, what? did you just say, "he's under no pressure?"
LMFAO.
NO PRESSURE. LOL, NO PRESSURE MY ASS.
Its totally not like he's been singlehandedly developing one of the most anticipated medieval rts titles of all time. nope, not at all.
"they should have gone for a price thats fair."
yeah, as if the dev has any control over what the Publishers want. Lol. Lmfao.
2.5 million copies sold with average playtime of like 8 hours.. on a ea game that's like 35% released. I paid 100 for mw3 and was way more disappointed with that than the best $40 I've spent on a single player game that's not even done.
It is too late. There is no strategy in this game and only one AI opponent.
Dead game.
oO the Dev has made plenty of money to hire help and finish it (it's a fookn copy/paste game = it's been done multiple times but he added curved roads uuuuh... It's a trend, build 1/2 & sell & move on to another 1/2 project... With Graphic/game Engines constantly upgrading...You have to finish the job or continue building a soon to be outdated game and/or replaced with another copy paste version...bla bllabla
maybe it's just Me, but I lost interest. And something better is just around another corner.
not impressed
