Great video - really cool to see Monster Express again, which i believe used to be at Clarence Pier in Southsea back in the mid 90s. (?) I remember standing outside it as a kid watching others going through but was never brave enough to ride it myself haha! Great to finally see what it was all about, all these years later! 👍
Mad to think that there is a massive swimming pool buried underneath that lot,it even had a wave machine and a couple of big slides that came out of a massive pineapple,also there was a smaller part of the pool that had a slide that was an elephant and you'd side down it's trunk. I spent many a day down there when I was a kid and it would get so busy that they would have to stop letting people in,didn't bother us mind as we always got in by climbing onto the top of a telephone box that was outside and then onto a flat roof and in for free 😁 Took my kids here only the other week and to be fair it was quite good,especially when one of the ride attendants asked my son if his dad was the guy that looks like the Rock lol Great video as usual mate 👍
From what I remember, it was originally intended that all Superstar rides would ‘turn turtle’ and lower in the inverted position. However UK H&S wouldn’t allow it, as it would be too hard to evacuate in a breakdown. The only one I ever heard of that actually did it with riders on board was, I think, in Holland. So, kinda surprising to see it done there.
Coaster Crazy went there a few days ago and saw it happen, can’t remember if there were people or not, shame the operator didn’t do it when I rode it ;(
I was gutted that I was away this weekend as Weston is only about an hour down the road and it's been on our to visit list since last summer! Would have love to have come along and had a chat! 😊 will definitely be visiting to get the creds soon. Yet another great vlog!

AND COULD FIT ON ANY RIDE...SADLY YEARS AGO I WAS DIAGNOSED WITH A SERIOUS BONE DISEASE AND HAD TO LOSE THE WEIGHT TO HAVE THE SURGERIES TO SAVE MY LIFE!!! I WENT DOWN TO 140PDS. AND BEFORE MY FIRST SURGERY I COULD NOT GET ON ANY NEW RIDES BECAUSE THE NEW RIDES ARE MADE FOR PEOPLE THAT HAVE EATING DISORDERS OR THYROID PROBLEMS!!! NOW YEARS LATER, I CAN NEVER RIDE ANY RIDES, ANDY,SHAUN AND OTHERS THAT MAKE THESE VIDEOS NOT ONLY GIVE ME GREAT MEMORIES,BUT THEY ARE A BEAUTIFUL BUNCH OF HUMAN BEINGS!!! SO LEAVE THEM ALONE OR GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!
@@Coaster_Crazy (Andy) is this a temporary travelling Theme Park? Funland looks incredibly temporary when compared to Chessington World Of Adventures,Legoland Windsor or Oakwood. I wouldn’t be surprised if Funland is dismissed during the Winter and the rides scattered across many travelling Fun Fairs.

If this does happen I would like to see Funland refurbished to be a permanent Amusement Park like Blackpool Pleasure Beach,Dreamland Margate or Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach. I have never been to Blackpool Pleasure Beach,Dreamland Margate or Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach. Despite this I have watched numerous TH-cam Vlogs from these Parks. From what I have seen I think it would be amazing idea to open a permanent Amusement Park on the former Tropicana Swimming Pool site at Western Super Mare. Lastly I must add that I would very much like to go to Blackpool Pleasure Beach,Dreamland Margate and Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach.
@@georgekoshti_richman1392 yeah that’s a great idea but the Tropicana is a very small area so it would be impossible to turn it into a permanent amusement park so having people bring in traveling rides is the only way to have it plus you have the Grand Pier just up the coast with permanent rides in it like a Ghost Train, Go-Karts, drop tower, a Robo-Coaster and much more

Tropicana was a outdoor lido with waterslides and water chutes with wave machine plus a cafe was there too. It was lovely there

GbHandlebar there was no one on the ride when it was in that “turtle” position, the operator knew me and was just showing what it could do
