In all but perhaps 2 couples I was left thinking that the standard of the ladies dancing is far better than that of the male partners in this final. I was impressed with Viktoria and her partner and whist they didn't make this final their time will come. Pure delight to see her back and put in a great first up performance. she does add richness to the dance floor that we have missed. Considering the talent that's on the horizon and that were missing in this event most of these couples aren't a sure thing of making it this far next year. For me Polina and Andra' dresses looked great but the rest left me underwhelmed and well below previous years. Congrats to all for making this prestigious final but for me not near the overall quality of blackpool finals of a few years ago.
Andra and Nino looked smashing (here I liked them more than Ina+Troels). I really like Dasha, but she fades somehow in the background here. Laura is, as always, unique. Yulia typically has a very distinct look - but not here.
@Definitely Maybe I wouldn't have been surprised if N&A won this either. They seriously challenged for this title. The rest weren't in the race really.
Hi Joe; hope you are well, living now in USA I think it might be. I've said for a while the talent of the women today is astonishingly good, and not just the women in this final. There are many in the semi who are fabulous as well. It must be in the DNA; there is a gene for dance talent. I alos notice most of the women in the semi and the final come from the same region on the globe more or less. I also thought Andra & Nino were better on the day and seriously challenged. The scrutineer sheets will be interesting. Except for two couples, this is now the field.

Who won? What were the placings? Nino/Andra looked amazing. So did Ferdi and Yulia. Pavel and Polina looked strong and of course Trolls and Ina. This was a very competitive final

I can see the current champion Troels/Ina from USA, Pavel/Polina(I couldn't spot them but they must be dancing at some corner...), Nino/Andra, Kirill/Valeria not competing here in the British Open, Fernando/Mushikina would be dancing too, I believe...Dorin/Marina from Moldova did garnered Blackpool Latin Pro Champ 2 yrs ago(?)...no 54 looks like Massimo/Laura...
There are disagreements in the WDC, and this is the open championship of the new WDO federation! Couples are also divided into two camps, for example, not all top couples will also be at the Blackpool Festival… Unfortunately!
Nikita and Adele were very strong! It's a pity that they didn't make it to the finals, but this couple has a great chance to make noise at the Profi)
