      It Looks Amazing and I was glad to see the brass stay - it just seems Unique for your place (which I find So Cozy ). I would be Grateful to see how you organized everything - the two short drawers and one big…❤

    Your eye for detail has created a gorgeous kitchen. The white cabinets in combination with gray and brass accents ties in so well with the wooden floors. The room is not only brighter and airier but also looks much larger. The end result is stunning.

    It's amazing how colour changes the space. We recently purchased a lovely flat and the previous owner had a stupid plum-coloured backsplash. I felt ashamed admitting that a perfectly functional piece of glass made me unhappy.. anyway. I spent a small fortune to replace it with light grey and now the space feels like MINE. At last!

    I really like the new look. The older I get, the more I appreciate a bright, light kitchen so I can see! I especially like the lack of knobs on the cabinets--one of my pet peeves about the kitchen in my house is that whenever I lean in to the cabinets when I cook, the knobs catch on my shirts between the buttons. I step away and find I'm caught! When I redo my kitchen eventually, I'll have to look for cabinets like yours.

    • @BenitaLarsson
      @BenitaLarsson  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Yes! I had a linen shirt torn to pieces because of the knobs on my previous kitchen!

    • @mytws
      @mytws ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Another option is to replace knobs and pointy handles with rounded corner handles. I have brushed nickle ones that I love. No more accidentally opening doors and drawers. And easier to keep clean than wiping the whole door, husband has been handle trained.

    Beautiful! The white cabinets really brighten up the kitchen, a must for those dark winter days. And I'm glad you kept the brass and the granite too, they add an earthy warmth that compliments the natural elements in the room, the plants, wooden floors and table and that great textured rug. Very nice! Bonus looks happy 💙

    We just moved to a new home and although the kitchen cabinets were nice and only 4 years old, they didn't feel like us! We went with white smooth upper cabinets and light brown lower cabinet drawers with a white quartz countertop and a bronze veined quartz for the backsplash. We love it and now it feels like home! Such a lovely, bright change! I’m so happy you could keep your stone benchtop! When we bought our house in 2008 it had a blue kitchen (mid 1990s?). I lived with it for a couple of years as it felt wasteful to replace it, but finally bought new drawer and cabinet fronts, and a stone bench (the previous owner had left a large tile glued over a pot burn mark in the Formica bench). I was so happy with my bright, white kitchen! Now when I see the trend swing back towards coloured kitchen I feel sorry for the future owners who have to go through this process. Most people can live with white cabinetry, adding colour through accessories, but a strong and dark cabinet colour be so polarising (and light absorbing!)

    I liked the original color, but agree the white looks brighter and more open. And, I like the upper cabinets being symmetrical with the lower. Glad you kept the countertop and brass sink and faucet, they are the jewelry. It looks great and even better is that you are very happy with it!

    I had thought that the green was ok - but now, when I see the white cabinets, and the improvements you have made - we’ll, the difference is night and day!! Fabulous work Benita! 💞

    So much better - more storage space and lighter! I love that the bottom cabinets have drawers - that would be so much easier than digging through open shelves.

    I thought at first that the green wasn't so bad but your were right in wanting to change it! The white and the addition of more cupboards on top was a great idea!

    I love your new kitchen, it's really beautiful. It's amazing how the white furniture brightens up the room. It's bright. And I love the clean, functional style. I will be delighted to see a video on the organization of your kitchen and all your advice that inspires me so much. Have a nice day and see you soon. Absolutely beautiful! Looks bigger, so clean and bright! I am extremely happy I watched this as I am getting new cabinets. I want white and everyone is telling me to go with the new trends of colors, darker and mixing a matching upper and lowers. But your observation of going with what suits your taste is the best way to go! Thank you!!! Please be so kind as to show us your organization in the cupboards! Love from Canada 🇨🇦

    Brass was really popular in 1920- 1940 interiors so I am not surprised it works well there :)
    I have original door and window handles in my apartment from around 1935 and all is brass :)

    Congratulations on your beautiful new kitchen! It's lovely and the white cabinets really open up the space visually. Among your smart decisions imho: adding the extra top cabinet, reconfiguring the drawers to better match your use, those new drawer and cabinet pulls, keeping the counter (yay!), and having temperature-controlled under-cabinet lighting to accommodate your video and photo shoots in winter light! That last one is brilliant. And I join others in requesting a video on your kitchen organization. Tack as always for the inspiration, Benita!

    Bright white kitchen is a much better choice for the space. I do like that you reused the countertops, the dark color is a nice contrast to the white and reusing what you have when still works well, appeals to me. I love your calm, simple style. Thanks for sharing your life with us. Much love from Indiana ❤

    It makes the kitchen look so much bigger. Having no handles or pulls is something I'm going to keep in mind when I redo my future kitchen. I have arthritis and not having to grab something small or wrap my fingers around something to pull helps keep them pain-free.

    Good Morning, Benita 😀 Wow! I love those new cabinets, something oddly satisfying watching you peel the blue film off of them to reveal that beautiful white color! I love the soft close on the drawers - and there is so much space! Makes the brass sink fixtures stand out beautifully - your place is so light and airy (absolutely love it). I love having natural light in our house - we always have our curtains open during the day - just so relaxing. At first I liked the dark green cabinets, but this is so more cheerful now with the white. The stone countertop is gives the kitchen a very grounded feel to it. 🌸💮🌸 Of course, I would love to see how your kitchen is organized!
