Kat. The tips fold under and if you do it right or semi right (in my case) then it'll fold down/roll down and onto your head (by you rolling it of course).

ladyred002 try putting the rolled sock at the base of your ponytail and separating your hair into two parts and wrapping the parts around the sock. thats how i learned to do a sock bun, and it also gives you great curls after you take it out.

My hair is thick as well and mine came out messy. (Granted it was my first try and I didn't brush my hair, plus my hair was semi-wet) Maybe try in different ways? Like wet your hair a little?

This is so amazing! I am usually awful at doing hair, so when this turned out looking good I was astonished! Also for people asking why she was "brushing" her hair with a toothbrush, she's not brushing it, she is spraying hairspray on a toothbrush and and using it to get rid of fly-aways
