I used to learn English by reading many grammar books, but I got used to learning English through TH-cam. And thank God,finally I am used to learning English by TH-cam and other social media now.
I used to be a huge fan of football, but now I prefer to tennis. I am used to getting up very early in the morning. I will get used to reading English book 30 minutes a day. Thank you so much for your useful lessons.
thanks so much for this lesson. I used to make a lot of mistakes in this grammatial strucutre, but I am getting used to avoid this kind of mistakes that I shouldn't have made. I really wish I won't make this mistake in the future.
1. I used to work in the security industry, but now I’m working for the IT company. 2. I am not use to talking in English all the way during whole workday. 3. I’m getting use to talking in English due to useful TH-cam channel!
I used to use these phrasal verbs very confidently until recently I was a bit confused. After this lesson, it's clear as water to me now. Thanks a lot!
The content of this lesson helped me a lot! This is a subject in English, which I use a lot, and sometimes I am in doubt. The examples here are great! Anne Marie, thank you so much for putting always important and useful content in daily communication.
Greetings from Mexico! I really love watching your videos. - Btw, I used to be afraid of expressing my thoughts in English but I’ve learnt to push myself beyond the boundaries thanks to your videos!
Thank you for the comment, Julio. I'm grateful to know my lessons are helpful. When it comes to expressing your thoughts, one option is to download my free "How to Say What You Want in English" training. It's an in-depth training I offer on my website to gain confidence in expressing yourself. www.speakconfidentenglish.com/say-what-you-want-in-english/
Your explanation about used to n get used to has been totally unique and it benefits much to my English studying.I must admit that I was very disappointed n confused about this particular phrase (used to )n finally it had solved my problem. Thanks teacher.
That was my problem most of the time, it's a practical video, and many thanks. It could be great if you send a video about using Would and Could in past, Present and future too. it's a little confusing for me too.
Thanks much! Pls I ask you kindly u David get used nd be used can be used in pasta nd future, regarding the future Forum can we Aldo use the future Forum be going to?
Thanks for sharing your examples, Meisam. Great work with the first sentence. With the second and third sentences, I recommend reviewing the word "smoke." Revisit the lesson that highlights the structure of 'be used to' and 'get used to.' What might you change?
Sorry for the mistake and thanks for the correction, It was my fault and carelessness! I think "smoking" should be used in the second and third sentences...
Thank you! But I still don`t understand the difference between TO BE USED TO and TO GET USED TO. "I am used to living here", "I got used to living here" look similar to me
They are very similar. The use of "got used to" emphasizes that this process took a lot of time. It isn't something that happened quickly. The use of " am used to" tells the listener how you feel now but we don't know how long it took. Did you become comfortable living in the location quickly? Or did it take a long time? I hope this helps to clarify.
@@Speakconfidentenglish Thanks for your kind reply. Grammatical semantics is indeed a very complicated business to foreigners for they are always trying to find a way through confusing polysemy by means of contrastive and confrontative linguistics.
Hi, thanks for the question. You can get all the details of the structures we use with the lesson online. You'll noticed they aren't all followed by the bare infinitive verb. www.speakconfidentenglish.com/confusing-words-used-to/
Hi there. Sorry, but your operator was squeaking their camera during the whole process. I've used my headphones so probably it was just my problem and nobody else cares. Thanks for teaching.

getting used to
used to
If you always wake up early, you will get to use to it.
I used to drink coconut water but now I'm drinking coffee because of winters.
Is it right to say I'm trying to get used to....
Absolutely. If you are in the process of making a change to a habit, for example, this would be a good structure to use.
To sum it up:
"He used to get used to using used cars, which he used to get to work every morning."
Ha! Thank you for sharing! 😀

"Used to" is a semi- modal verb. Is " be used to" and "get used to" also semi-modal verb? All three are followed by bare infinitive verb.
Hi, thanks for the question. You can get all the details of the structures we use with the lesson online. You'll noticed they aren't all followed by the bare infinitive verb. www.speakconfidentenglish.com/confusing-words-used-to/
