For those that are too lazy to translate: it’s "he/him"
I was expecting something more exciting
Man, imagine thinking you have a chance to start a relationship with an alien when you cannot even do that with an human person.
Eh, there are people who form relationships more easily with foreigners than with people from their own country. Some people are simply mal adapted to their culture, and thrive once they get in contact with another they’re more in tune with.
I’ve talked with an Iraqi boy who’s into heavy metal. He could NOT relate to his compatriots. He started to be happy once he went to Finland.
i like to think hes partially joking
Actually, you would have a better chance, because you can just pass off weird behavior that you couldn't with a human.
Allowing that you could find an alien and they were amenable to dating humans.
@@Xahnelthis is true
Though it becomes hard again once you have to relate to a being with an at all alien mind. Not to say its impossible, empathy is a muscle, and not even an entirely nessecary one but interacting with aliens would be a good bit of excercise
Unrelated, but damn, removing maths as a subject seems more unreal than finding aliens, imo

Yeah, especially the close-up of it's face. I would be dumbfounded if somebody looked at this and went, "yeah that was once a living creature".
@@metsu-satsu4280I know right? It looks like it was made from soap stone or paper mache
I still maintain that if we had a shred of real evidence for alien life people would be excited as hell. It would instantly be one of the most significant moments in history. We would at least have to throw some parties.
If we found life in another planet, it probably wouldn't be that exciting.
It would probably be some signal. Or some traces of methane or an ecosystem that has been altered artificially. (That is if they are even intelligent beings that work the same way as us)
If we found life, we probably wouldn't be able to contact it efficiently for centuries.
Still, it would be massive to know we are not alone. I would be exited, even if the event wasn't like we imagined it.
@@LaCabraAsada meth????? where???
@@LaCabraAsada It wouldn't be exciting to the average person outside of the sheer party we would have just for the hell of the occasion. But it would probably be earth shattering to the scientific community, religion, philosophy..
Literally this last month we actually found possible evidence of alien life about 150 light years away on the planet K2-18B, and this fake news is wayyyy more popular. It’s extremely disappointing tbh
@@joaoborgesrodriguesalves6554Meth as in methane, not methanphetamine.
Organic creatures produce methane that can be traced in the atmosphere. It could be a way to find *organic* life. (only organic)
Unfortunately, we can't use methanphetamine to find life 😔. But it would be funny if we found aliens through their crippling drug addiction.
Anyone else thinks that it's kinda weird to assume intelligent life has to be bipedal and have a similar stature to us?
Well it obvs comes to human bias, but to be fair if an alien species wasnt just intelligent but also capable of similar stuff to us, I would assume they would share some features like thumbs or sum idk, but yeah they are probably far from human-like
@@LaSnekyBut if they evolved to be intelligent with different physiology from us, then the technology they'd have developed would just be attuned to their bodies, not necessarily a humanoid one.
@@ultimamage3 i would assume so yeah, but said technology would also be limited by their biology
Of course being a human myself I have a difficult time imagining a fundamentally different species that could achieve the same things we do with, say, idk fins LOL
I'd expect maybe idk octopuses with fingers 💀 absolute nightmare fuel to be sure but maybe that one would be able to achieve something others couldnt, even if said others were smarter
But yeah, at the end of the day it just comes down to creativity and conveniance I guess, depending on why you're imagining aliens to begin with
@@ultimamage3 Humans evolved intelligence because we have the body to take advantage of it. A bear doesn't need to be intelligent to survive, so evolutionary pressure doesn't prioritize that. Humans, on the other hand, are fragile and weak, but we have very dexterous hands, so intelligence was probably the easiest thing for natural selection to prioritize. You just have to consider, when it comes to passing down traits and random mutations, which traits will help the creature survive to breeding age the most? Some animals just lower their breeding age (bugs), some get stronger (bears), and some get smarter (birds, dolphins, humans). Intelligence is important to social creatures especially.
Not really, if we assume their planet is similar to ours, or that they followed similar steps to evolve, they'll need hands, and eventually evolve to have a bigger brain, I wouldn't say they'd be 1:1 copy of an human (even if it could be possible) but they should at least share traits with us, such as a hand, and bipedal form with a big brain
Except if their planet is very different from ours, they'll evolve differently but...then I don't really know how they could look like
I feel like Absent's name refers to his brain

Great video !
I'd like to address a point though, aliens probably wouldn't have to worry about Earth germs. That is because parasites are usually adapted to specific species, and an alien would probably have a very different biology than Earth life. Maybe their cells don't even use the same molecules and proteins. The germs wouldn't be able to live inside their bodies.
Besides that, it's really frightening that Mexico is reducing that much their school curriculum...
I have considered that thing about germs before, but I deem it irrelevant. I am not going to breathe in a thousand or perhaps even millions of things I don't know based on the assumption that "maybe" not even a single one is even remotely close to being something that could actually turn out to be able to infect my body.
@@frenchbaguetteintelligence I didn't think about it that way ! It's logical to not want to take any risks when you're in an already dangerous situation.
Thank you for your answer and all your awesome videos, from a fellow frog !
If aliens would use different proteins or even molecules i think they would have much worse problems to worry about than germs
Most lethal illnesses are caused by jumping from one species to another. even if only one was able to exploit their weaknesses, the aliens would have a tough time
And the aliens might be more similar to us than one might think
That is due to the simple fact, that we as a species are more likely to be closer to the universal average than not.
Same goes for our alien friends
Given that we only have one data point, this is the most likely assumption we can make
I searched for this comment as soon as the video ended 😁
I agree with the previous points about potential alien biology and it's compatibility with our ecosystems.
Alien lifeforms would not necessarily have any kind of difficulty with breathing or ingesting microorganisms, though ;
they would not necessarily have cells, or even DNA to begin with, rendering bacterial and viral infections impossible.
For all we know, they could be silicon-based and rely entirely on absorbing radiations for sustenance !
In any case, the usual "thin, naked, grey gnomish-looking alien" cliché is hilariously overused.
I'm also sad and a little bit afraid regarding what awaits in the future of Mexico's next generation of students :/
Cheers to y'all fellow frog-adjacent beings !
Man, I just realised this series is actually a podcast with extra steps but even funnier this way
I would like to add that the 'alien' was presented by Jaime Maussan, a living meme in old guy form who'd already presented a "Demon Fairy" to the world many years ago (turned out to be an arts-and-crafts monstrosity made out of a bat's carcass, wooden sticks and some epoxy) as well as SEVERAL other fake dead mythical creatures . He used to have one of those stupid TV shows about suspicious blinking lights in the sky and oddly-shaped rocks, but he ‘retired’ after many years of deranged rambling.
- Also, this new project of his had a human bone thrown somewhere in there which. Cool, I guess.
- And he's the owner of a restaurant that sells 'the best Skirt Steak in Mexico (c)'.
All I'm saying is that I have neither proof nor doubt that Maussan is a psycho -UFO-guy version of Leatherface who likes showing off his crafts now and then.

He learned them from me. It’s extremely easy to find information about it if you google it in Spanish. In English, you probably won’t, because it’s not the type of thing a government would allow to get foreign coverage.

And if advance civilizations exist I’m sure as Harry basically pointed out will have to deal the same problems as we face and it is practical to send drones to an alien planet to study the atmosphere and biology if it is suitable to the race or not to inhabit, he also pointed out that the corrupted Mexican Government “released evidence” of aliens to hide a more sinister activity…this makes me think that my own government is doing the same thing under the Biden Administration trying to distract us, plus the alien to melons more like a very dehydrated and emancipated Peruvian mummy that must of been a child, mummies tend to look alien depending there preservation if it was well preserved or not, and I never understood why aliens would be naked anyway unless if they want to get under the sheets but that’s a separate story for a separate day
