This is one of my favorites at Cedar Point, very underrated ride amongst so many great ones. Driving over the Cedar Point causeway is like driving into Coaster Heaven! 👍🤘

one of the best wing coasters out there, the forced from the immelman, the hangtime from the inline twist, the near miss effect during that zero g roll, u cant go wring love with this ride
I know it's not the most insane coaster out there, but I still love it... the scenery is beautiful. Also, that person screaming in the background is me on literally anything.

This B&M Wing Rider is as intense as heck! It sure packs one big punch!
honestly not really. I love Gate keeper but once you do the first drop it is fairly standard BM intensity. The first drop to me feels more like an invert than a first drop.

I like it because it's smooth and easy to ride and if there's no line it's not bad. It's a great family coaster. Kids love it. Just slightly more intense than Wild Mouse.

Rode this in 2018, my first time to CP, never got around to back row but I rode front row both sides during my visit, and I’m forgetting which side but one side definitely felt more intense, second time I rode it the Immelmann made me grey out 😂 I remember it being smooth both times and those keyhole inversions are just something else! To anyone else watching wondering, those near miss elements are much more convincing when you’re riding it.
Overall a decent ride and I don’t quite get some of the hate I’ve heard about it, even the vests don’t kill. I look forward to riding this again when I have a chance to revisit, hopefully dragster would still be at least standing but who knows I guess, point is gatekeeper is better than some think
I also admit, I am going to ride this coaster again the start of the ride was my favorite but good grief, I would’ve loved to see more of the nostalgia of the amusement park, but it occurred to me that today is going to be my first time going to cedar point! 🎉

It’s a great ride! Especially when sitting on the outer seats. The only complaint for me was the restraints, they were painful and I remember at the end of each ride I could barely move my chest. I did hear there were a lot of complaints of the restraints and I don’t remember if they fixed that issue or not. They have the same restraints on Valravn and they definitely aren’t nearly as tight.
They haven’t fixed them yet. By the end of the ride I could not move at all.
Probably the smoothest ride I have ever been on.

It’s an easy and smooth ride! Don’t be afraid of it. In my opinion X-Flight at SFGA in Gurnee Il is more intense wing coaster than Gatekeeper.

Unfortunately when a certain type of coaster is built at a park it’s not ideal for the same kind 4 hours away marketing wise. However kings island will get their star attraction very soon. 🤌🏽

Gatekeeper became my 2nd favorite B&M in the park after last weekend! It's running so well!
this ride is usually pretty forceless in my opinion (not in a bad way, this ride is very fun), but i did get some airtime on the first camelback during a visit, and it was also a night ride, so that was cool, and unexpected.

This was the second oldest amusement park in the world, steel vengeance can hold the record of any long ride coaster, I’ve heard of this before and this is a great choice for a summer vacation.
Glad to see it’s up and running again smoothly after the chain snapped last summer. I was there next to the ride when that happened, wicked crazy.

Gatekeeper gets flak for being "okay" by most enthusiasts. But it's one of only a couple of rides at the park that guarantee's multiple full throat screamers on every train.
I want to ride this so bad but my anxiety says no im afraid ill feel an imense drop and what scares me worse is that the second you see the height your up your upside down and its freaky ive never been on a roller coaster that goes upside down because my anxiety likes to be a cu next tuesdsy to me but i really love the layout on this ride but im afraid of the sight of being up so high while upside down :(

just know your fears make the drop worse than it actually is, when you go on a massive drop try to to focus on how intense it is, rather how fun it is. if that makes sense

For everybody that says glossy smooth. Look at his legs/knees rattling hard the majority of the ride. This is the front seat. All others it’s worse than that.
B&M rattle is real.
So ridiculous. It’s a wing coaster the seats always bounce, it’s physically impossible for them not too.

Just curious as to how strict the ride ops are with cameras at CP. I managed to get through every ride at Canada's Wonderland so concealment isn't an issue but it does make for inflexibility.
Well, I certainly found out on Friday lol, I managed to get the left side just fine, had my camera mostly covered but just the lens peeking out of my jacket, tried that on the right side, girl gave the thumbs up, and right as the train started moving she just leaned over with a WTF look (same just peeking out of the jacket) yelled HOLD. I just apologized and surrendered my camera, she put it in the bin and I got it back after. Had to be a bit more careful after.
