Sorry for the delay in replying. You are right, when I do 3 string sweep picking, I also use thumb flexion. That is to prevent my hand position from moving too much, I bend my thumb when uppicking on the 2nd string while downpicking on the 3rd string I catch the string by extending my thumb. Hi Kei. What right-hand technique are you using for 3-string sweep picks? I also see Syu uses this same circular motion technique but I don't know why
