Reason behind why Ve decreases in the negative resistance region:
As the Ve is increased the emitter current Ie is also increased and the junction behaves like a typical P-N junction. But the Ve can be only increased up to a particular point called Vp (peak voltage). At this point a considerable amount of emitter current (Ie) flows and a significant number of holes are injected into the junction. These holes are repelled by B2 and attracted by B1. As a result, the region between emitter(E) and B1 terminal starts saturating by holes and the conductivity of this region starts to increase. This phenomenon of increasing conductivity by the insertion of holes is called conductivity modulation. This increased conductivity reduces RB1 and η. This results in a condition where emitter current Ie increases and the emitter voltage Ve decreases. This situation is similar to a negative resistance scenario.

10:35 resistance increase as temperature increas ............... not like what he says in the video
but steal he is right about what happen to Rb1 when the current increase
this is a semiconductor...and semiconductor has NTC...negative temperature coefficient...so when the temp increases the resistor will decrease
Thank u sir,great explanation..❤️

Sir your lectures are very cool...Can you suggest book(s) to read about power electronics as I am a beginner(competitive Exam level).
For power electronics Salman rasdi
Dr. R. S. Sedha (Electronics)
10:46 you said that the temperature increases so temperature decreases, but according to books if temperature increses then resistance also increases.
this is a semiconductor...and semiconductor has NTC...negative temperature coefficient...so when the temp increases the resistor will decrease
Do video on UJT MORE AND BJT DEEP TOPIC usaid in before video is very easy language it is nice about UJT video
Amazing explanation

Good explanation...thank youuuuu 🌹
Superb teaching sir
thankyou sir.. made.my day😍
Sir does the resistance increase or decrease when temp rises?
Yes it effects.
Resistance increase with increase in temperature in ohmic conductor
That happens for semiconductor
Resistance will decrease when the temp is increased
Tum bahut aacha kam karta hai
Very sharp description..... Sir
It's really good
LOL🤣
Very well explained sir. What is the name of the teacher please tell..?

@@EngineeringFunda why emitter terminal is so close to. The base1 terminal?
Everything u said is gd.but when it comes to working of ujt ,it seems that u've manipulated how voltage z decreasing....make it clear
i have one doubt sir when temperature increases the resistance should increase but u r saying decreasing , I couldn't understand could you please explain me sir !
For semiconductor material, temperature decreases with increase in resistance and visaversa.
Dude to negative temperature coefficient

Sir u haven't explained saturation region.
How come current is increasing (or resistance is decreasing) in negative R region without Voltage increasing and making it more forward biased? Voltage must increase for that to happen and if voltage is increased then resistance is positive.
Thank you some much sir

Sir super
P type aluminium rod? Metal semiconductor junction?
Why, after valley point.... Again graph is same like normal pn diode? Why voltage increase?
Anyone from DU here ?....
Sir how we give input supply?because there is only one terminal in output
why negative resistance stops at valley point. why does it not contineously increase emitter current with decreasing emitter voltage??
Sir plz can you upload the , how to do the ujt experiment in labs with clear video

IF voltage at Rb1 decreases how input voltage decreases and also till the cutoff voltage the current must be zero but here how come the current is positive??
Nice work sir
Your welcome
Tell about saturation region why current and voltage increases
Great
Sir ujt triggring of scr and ujt are the same topic plz rply
Yes
Dear sir , why capacitor is require in ujt triggering circuit
Well done sir
sir can you show working of UJT. using UJT and not equivalent circuit
I have already explained ujt as relaxTion oscillator
What difference will it make if we just connect the diode and two resistors instead of ujt?
It will not exhibit negative resistance characteristics
Engineering Funda Oh yes! Thank you so much. Loved your video. It was very helpful
why should we bias in negative resistance region ?? why not in saturation region ?? we know both regions is ON condition
Nyc
if current increases, voltage should also increase, then why does it decrease?
That happens due to decrease in resistance
what u said is correct but it is according to ohms law where temperature is constant ... but here temperature will varies therefore ohms law fails here and power equation comes into play.. i.e. p=vi
where power is constant ...so, voltage is inversely proportional to current....
thanks sir
