Tapes can be tough. I buy a lot of used tapes from anywhere within the 70s, 80s and 90s. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. I do have a few 70s and 80s tapes that work fantastic though. Also, I don't know Firefall, but I see their records whenever I go to my local record stores. Great video, can't wait for more videos and streams!

Oh, for sure. Back in the day Triumph use to be one of our go to's. Great band, haven't listened to them forever though, think it might be time to track down some of their tunes again ;)

Which ones? I don't think I have any more that I haven't worn except for a couple of Go-Go Boy #1, but the ones I have, since the color is black, are fragile, you can't wear them, they will fall apart. Good for display though ;)

Indeed it would be, and it is on my list of things to do. I'll try my best to have it out this year, maybe shoot for towards the end of Fall. Remind me if it's not up by then and I'll try and get it done asap.

Wait! Tape is making a comeback? Awesome! I've seriously been enjoying them, very good news indeed. As for System, I wonder if they are planning on putting out some new material and this is a push for that. Would be cool.
Well, some sources say they will put out new material, some say they won't. Daron has another band, Scars On Broadway which just released a new album. And tapes, yes, they are coming again !

chycho Unfortunately I don't think that's gonna happen anytime soon. I saw video of a very recent interview with frontman Serj Tankian where he says something along the lines of how there is still a bit of bad blood between him and "certain members" of the band (Daron) over Serj not really wanting to play heavy music anymore. Someone else had recommended Scars On Broadway's new album a few months ago and I looped it for a few days. Fantastic sound, it had a huge System of a Down feel, more so than the other albums they had put out in my opinion. Very much loved it.
Exile's big hit was "I want to kiss you all over", not a bad song... Looking forward to all you have planned in 2018!

Looks like he just started last year. I'm going to catch-up to what he's done online and maybe kick up my Go-Go Boy readings up a bit and surprise him once I have them up.... AWESOME! Yes, an absolutely delightful video :-) And here's another great documentary from Sequart: Today they released "Grant Morrison - Talking With Gods" on their official channel th-cam.com/video/8ZcflWe6Fhc/w-d-xo.html -- I like the doc about Warren Ellis but this was/is essential viewing for me because I feel so close to Morrison's work!

I'm pretty sure subconsciously he has had a huge roll to play in the content I create here, trying to stay genuine and layer my work as much as I can, my own multiverse of sort :)
Oh GAWD! You are promising (warning!) that you will read ALL of this Mermaid Comics um...stuff? How self-indulgent is that. It was "HUGE in the LGTBQ community." Surely you know that niche magazines are simply looking for any material that fits that niche so yeah of course they instantly feature anything related to gay culture almost irregardless of quality. The cover you show at 30:00 is actually a nice design and composition. But that thing you hold up at 33:20 is just an abomination. It's literally nauseating because of the color and artificiality. As usual you're totally deluding yourself (and your audience) by pretending that Diamond wouldn't distribute your comic for political reasons. lol They wouldn't do it because it's amatuerish. Simple as that. They distro'd gay artists like Howard Cruse, Dame Darcy and Alison Bechdel all along because they created superlative work. But you know that your viewers aren't very informed so they'll just believe you when you act like "Go-Go Boy" was so cutting edge that it was too hot for Diamond to handle. And no I'm not trying to rain on your parade, I'm just trying to bring some honesty and reality to this discussion (which is always better than the sycophants who just take in anything you say because it's said in soft measured tones).
Oh WOW! You didn't like the cover of issue #3 of Go-Go Boy? Art is very personal as the saying goes. For me, that is one of the most beautiful covers I've ever seen for a comic book, not to mention that it's extremely powerful, on the same level as Black #2 from Black Mask Studios, the lynching cover.... as for Diamond, they are a comic book distributor, they should not be acting as censors, which they did. Go-Go Boy was quite different than anything else that was out there, it was a monthly continuing superhero comic book series for the general public, something that could be put on the racks right beside the Flash (Go-Go Boy is a speedster as well). Keep in mind the Comic Code Authority was still in play and just a couple of years before when Northstar came out of the closet it was pretty controversial. For us, there is no doubt that they didn't distribute Go-Go Boy because of the content, and unfortunately i4Ni and Starry Knight also took the hit... I was lucky though, all the creators understood what we were going up against and they were very supportive of what we tried to do. Very interesting and educational times indeed.

chycho & Pash Atlum: I think it's unfair to judge the initial comics of a fledgling small publisher so harshly, books which were made under difficult circumstances and never had a chance to reach all of their potential. And of course Chycho can't be "objective" in this case - after all, he put his blood, sweat and money into making these comics a reality. For the record I really happen to like (not because of "sycophantism") the cover of Go Go Boy 3 :-) Pash, I'd just wait for the actual readings from the MC catalogue. I really don't see any downside in making these little-known comics available to a wider audience, quite the contrary!!
