Katahara Onsen is one of the Gamagori Onsenkyo, a scenic hot spring that springs on the Mikawa coast.The area around Fudagaike in Katahara Onsen is maintained as "Hydrangea Village", and about 50,000 hydrangeas are in full bloom along the promenade. It is lit up at night, and you can enjoy a fantastic atmosphere different from the daytime.The hydrangea festival, which is held for one month from June 1 to June 30 every year, has about 100,000 visitors, and temporary buses are also operated during the period. During the period, events such as exhibitions and photo contests will also be held.
