I kind of have a simular project with a 1998 Mirrocraft Agressor aluminum boat. My floor is wood with aluminum overlay and its in bad condition. One day I'll be doing the same as you and hopefully have the same results. Great video.

Take about 3 feet out of the middle and you’ll have one hell of a jet boat setup . Ditch that outboard and drop in an inboard jet boat motor configuration and poof your done .
If you ever have to paint aluminum sherwin williams makes this paint specifically for aluminum gutters that you can brush or roll that leaves a smooth finish . I took the paint off some gutters pressure washing a house using chemicals is how I know .. The owner went a got the paint so I don’t remember the specifics and I still take care of that property 12 yrs. Now paint look great .
