The red/black door parts are to further focus the driving zone from the passenger zone. Takes some inspiration from the FT1 design and cocoons the driver and focuses on the road.
First thing we all learn about these is that it's a Toyota car with a BMW engine (and by the looks of that gear shift, the trans is BMW too) This car is really nice for being half the price of the Lexus LC convertible but I prefer a GT86 I can fix in the driveway.
It's barely a Toyota car, they specified the body and some suspension tuning and whatever, but the interior is also all BMW stuff. It's made in a contract plant in Austria that makes the Z4. I don't think Toyota physically touches the car until it's midway through distribution.

The engine was revised by Toyota, the chassis was developed by Toyota and BMW, the Supra has a manual as well, something the Z4 doesn't have and won't ever get. And of course it's being made in Austria, because it'd be cheaper and way easier than to produce the two cars rather than in two different parts of the planet.

This turbo Inline 6 is a BMW derived engine, which means its very underrated from a power standpoint, this 3.0 Supra has way more than 382HP and 368lbft of torque the actual number for both is well over 400, people have tested their Supras on dynos, and some found that their cars were making more like 430HP and as much as 450lbft of torque, and it feels like every bit of those numbers, the Supra is a very fast car 0-60 in 3.7 seconds. It has so much torque that you will spin the tires even in 3rd or 4th gear.
