A stranger that i met on a match of fortnite reccomended this song to me a 2 years ago. 30 seconds into the song, i instantly laughed and turned it off calling it "weird" music. After i said that, the match was quiet and awkward. After the game that we won, we left with both our user unadded. 2 years go by and i randomly remember the songs name and i play it on a road trip at night, and it was the greatest feeling ive ever felt in a while. Im grateful for the stranger who introduced me to the band, dont know if he will come back and see this.
I love how every video i see of them has people in the comments talking about their influences. One era i dont think gets brought up is that they were probably also inspired by bands like nothing and basement. They seemed to come out of that scene but a little after those bands and just didnt get the recognition at the time
Saw this band open for Quicksand in Philly in 2021. Had no idea who they were. I’ve been to over 300 shows and to this day they’re the best opener I’ve ever seen. They’ve managed to blend shoegaze, grunge, and the soul of my generation in a resurgence no one knows about.
Okay.. I am obsessed. So glad I just discovered this amazing band!! This is going to be blasting during every car ride for quite some time. The music industry needs sh!t like this!! This 90s-early 2000s vibe is so refreshing to hear!
I agree it's a rare sort of tone I had long since given up on ever finding again in any of today's bands, and although I've heard many attempts, I can't think of any that didn't leave me very sadly disappointed. Until this. I don't know where tf these guys came from other than a time machine from an era of music I had once presumed to be extinct, because to say the absolute least they hit the nail right 🎯 on the fucking head fr fr 🔥🧨
Calling late, just a friend Maybe she'll want me more It's just so far from me When closing my eyes I can see the other world Wide awake once again Maybe I just want more Calling late, just a friend Maybe she'll need me more You're so far away When closing your eyes you can see through the other world So let it out, safe and sound Leave me out and I'll be found Don't try to escape It's just pulling us down Let it go and don't say it's ok We're spinning fast
I love Narrow Head and what the music does to me. It makes me forget everything that isn't good for minutes at a time. It's like a good hug. It's a perfect blend of loud/quiet dynamics, wisps of dissonance and melancholy, regret, longing...and lots of reverence to HUM, another top 10 greatest of all time.
Love this song, just heard it here in Colorado on 1190 AM this week. Great to hear another awesome Texas band. I'm also digging Trauma Ray "Transmissions" out of Ft Worth, and now adding Narrow Head to my favorite bands list as well! You guys rock!
Today me and my friends were playing a game they should tell me any word in english+number and on spotify I should find a song and we discover this amazing band and I think we have new favorite artists. ^_^ song was necrosis btw.
i think this specific genre of music should be called something like "modern grunge" or something. it's not quite as heavy as nirvana, it's much more melancholic. instead of raging against the machine, you're just in your recliner staring at the ceiling wondering how it got to this point.
@ff dd they ain't indie they're mainly modern shoegaze and a lot of their sound is similar to 90s alt that's where they get a lot of their inspo, get a fucking grip you're the real poser you don't know shit lmao
@@don2nd650 yeah man, these guys wouldve been huge in the 90s, i think they will be huge in the future when more people hear their music, its just too perfect
Stupidly underrated band. Whole album is amazing.

I can hear so many different influences in this. Deftones, Nirvana, even a little bit of Pond and Kevin Parker. So glad I discovered these guys.
My Bloody Valentine too
And Smashing Pumpkins, the video is very Dinosaur Jr. too
Hum, Helmet

Thanks for the info on Failure and Hum......How did I not know about them?
MrFrontenginedragste because you’re young probably :)
Yes absolutely. They sound beautiful
You summoned a new Hum album lol
The vocals are more reminiscent of grunge and alternative metal bands like Alice In Chains tho with a shoegaze twist
These guys are UNREAL
Helmet meets Swervedriver. Didn't' see that coming and it's awesome.

As someone who absolutely loves Deftones, I love this song's sound.

I'm hearing a cross between Deftones, Nirvana, and Radiohead with a splash of Smashing Pumpkins.
Been the best band today since 2012.
They're undoubtedly the best shoe gaze band their is.
