its Sept 2024, I listen to this Album, Daily to this day, It part of the fuel I need... I was impressed and still am, Motley Crue was battling their demons when JOHN collaborated with them, THUMBS UP for what you gave us during this time w THE CRUE. ! THKS John Corabi
Incredible song. Belongs on the top Crue Playlist. It's like everyone is just somehow better. Pity we only got one album from this iteration of the band.
Maybe it shouldn't have been called Motley Crue, maybe a different name? Like Pantera/Damage Plan kinda thing. But I think that there was an insane amount of chemistry there. It's an underrated album, to say the least.
I come back to this Corabi record time and time again since first hearing it in the late 90s. Kick's ass front to back. Not into arguing over which record and era's of bands are "best" as it is all subjective. But I enjoy this one more than any other Crue record. They had some amazing chemistry and it's a shame it only lasted one record before John was shafted
There's an alternate time line where either Corabi stuck with Crue from then onwards and they kept making better and more interesting albums like this. Or, they replaced Vince with him again instead of getting rid of Mars.
This is such a kick ass song. Totally underrated. It should be right up there with Kick Start My Heart. Crew has always been one of the best bands out there.
It would be awesome. Just went to the Stadium Tour show in San Antonio, TX. Vince Neil was terrible. Missed half the lyrics to all the songs. Sounded like crap. I always liked this album. Sounded much more aggressive.
You now when you have the worst fans when THIS banger is considered your worst album. Absolutely fantastic album. Should NEVER have listened to the fans and brought Vince back.
Motley only began for the money and fame, that's all they've been interested in, with the possible exception of Mick Mars, who seems to be more of an artist. So when the money dried up, Vince came back!
@@Phangmaster You can thank Nikki for that. He has always owned Crue. Corabi is the best vocalist/artist for Motley even now. Vince can’t sing for shit anymore. He’s too fat and can’t sustain notes, or articulate lyrics anymore. Reminds me of that Springsteen Super Bowl performance. Granted, he was running around going nuts, but still. As a person gets older, they’re smart to stay within their limits. Neither one can do what they once did. John Corabi can. Best album for them since Girls. Hell, this one ranks up with Too Fast for Love. It’s got that raw sound.
Nicki should have asked John to be in another band with him because these guys together are a killer writing duo and they could have gotten a number of drummers and guitar players who would fit the bill very easily to work with them. What they did with Corabi on those records was ahead of the time and sounds perfectly fitting with today's modern heavy rock bands. They probably would have been able to have the same success Velvet Revolver did, Corabi's vocal has just the best gravely quality for this heavier sound, not thrash metal and not LA hair metal, it stood apart. Just seems to me he and Sixx were a force to reckon with writing together.
I love this formation! For me the best the band has ever had, but Nikki was such a scoundrel with John on his departure, I don't think he would be willing to have his name associated with anyone in the band now.
@@classicrockstation Maybe not right after the split in the late 90s when things were still sore but if they had timed a new band and this sound under a different flag name aside with Velvet Revolver hitting when they did, then I bet it would have been more widely accepted in that era. Just because there weren't any rock bands to speak of that were doing this sound. Velvet Revolver's sound was actually bridged to this Crue sound with Carobi I think, If that makes sense. Just saying it was a good writing combo with Carobi's voice adding an element to it that is much more accepted now than it was then. I just think if hatchets were buried with Vince to bring the Crue reunion back then they could have worked it out with Carobi to pair it up with Revolver's oncoming I would think. If you think about it Slash, Duff and Matt also had the luxury of timing to bring Revolver out hitting on all cylinders even though they were getting impatient and having a hard with finding a frontman right away, in hind sight the delay might have been the best thing for them and if Sixx and Carobi, or even if Mick wanted in, they could have joined that and caught fire under a different flag sip perhaps. Maybe even bridge the name the way Revolver did with GNR> (Gun theme). IDK Hooligans Holiday is actually a cool Band name but I digress. Just a great record here that likely would have been more successful if they had waited and done What Slash and them did at the same time when rock fans were wanting it and digging this sound much more ...maybe?

This was a great single and in general the album is consistent and solid. It was released at the wrong time. It has grunge elements and was released by the time the biggest grunge exponent died. The singer isn't that much different than Vince Neil. The sound is what is different. People are stupid for thinking Vince Neil is a God! He's a loser!!!! He would have NEVER gone for this, everybody is playing their ass off!! He would never let the attention be equal. SAD BUT TRUE
