love my airwaves. think the reason theyre so popular over here is because our road surfaces etc are often not the best and these wheels are MASSIVE and very squidgy so you get a lot of surface contact and grip. skated an indoor carpark for the first time the other day after a year of only outside and it felt like i could start walking up the walls there was so much grip
Love your channel! Hey I use Air Waves too in the UK on my Roces & have to turn the nuts the other way around (so that the nylon bit faces into the wheel) to stop them coming undone. Hope that helps 😁🙏🏼

I had the same issue with my artistic Riedell's as the truck is short so Airwaves on these are not secure and dangerous. I'm going to get Radar Energy wheels as an alternative. I wish Airwaves would bring out a 57/58 mm size.
Would you try "Radar Energy" wheels (and compare)? They're meant to be on par or better than Air Waves. They come in different sizes and colours too so they may solve your problem.
Air waves 'street' and sims 'street snake' are good 62mm wheels in 78A and SFR 'Slicks' are 62mm wheels which are ultra grippy 76A! The air waves in this video are also available in 62mm, I have both 62 and 65 sizes of these wheels.
Omg, I know this is years later but I’m from New Jersey USA. You really can’t get these here, I’ve never seen anyone, however I just ordered black and pink swirl and had them shipped to me. I’m dying to try them
You can always put different trucks on your artistic boots. Skateboard trucks will fit these wheels fine and you can put them on an artistic boots. Also, these will likely fit the Moxi Beach Bunny and Panther marvel plate because the trucks are pretty long. Another thing is the zero nut from Suregrip - this will help if you have a smaller truck. I have the same issue with my luminous wheels and that really helped me. I bet a Chaya truck might work? Just a though - it’s a guess. :D

I did some research and found Airwaves to be a popular choice. I was prepped and ready to get black Rio's and pair them with clear yellow air waves. Going back to the drawing board now. Do you have a suggestion for a smaller wheel with the same benefits as the Airwaves?

And alsooo I've seen in some of the comments you said that airwaves can be used but you have to turn the nuts the other way around. I feel like this is a silly question but what or where are the nuts please?

Apologies for this late response. Im not too sure though, you're better off heading down to a skate shop to check if they will fit. That's if you haven't already got them? X
i have done that, its because you need to get the nylon threads of the nut to grip the axle threads to prevent them working loose but you can get low profile nuts which go on the right way round and still have the nylon threads make contact, thats what i have on my skates.
@@flosnailtips9690 62mm wheels will fit most Skates, this type of air waves wheel are available in both 62 and 65mm but sellers don't always make it clear what size they are selling and you need to check, I have both sizes but my skates fit 65mm without a problem. Two other wheels which are nice and grippy 78A wheels in 62mm are Air waves 'street' and sims 'street snake', both are good wheels and grip is amazing on a rink 😀

@@flosnailtips9690 The best thing to do is email the manufacturer of the skates you own or intend to buy and give them the exact measurements of the wheels your looking at and ask if they will fit. The thing with sims street snake and air waves street is that the contact area of the wheel is also narrower than the Air waves in this video, the outside edge is rounded off where is the edge is 'Square' on these wheels if that makes sense? the rounded edge means they have a bit more clearance on the outside when turning but it also means they provide more grip on the 'edge' of the wheel where is these Air waves have a 'sharp' edge to the wheel which provides very little contact area, i hope that makes sense lol. I prefer the narrower contact area of the wheels ive mentioned, they are a lot more agile but i skate on type in this video outside as i have two sets of them and im fine with trashing them (tarmac wrecks wheels!) but swap over t my sims street snake wheels when i go to the rink :)
I roll on Radar Energies and Sims Street Snakes.... would love to know how Airwaves compare to these! They are a nice price point for sure and seem very popular :) P.S. you can dye your Airwaves with Rit Dye More if you fancy a change up :D
@@ayyskates yassss and make a video of course! They come out dope because the ‘Airwaves’ logo isn’t affected by the dye and at certain angles the marble still comes through...be sure to get synthetic dye though!

For artistic skates they tend not to fit tbh so your better off going for a smaller sized wheel x
