I've started looking into monologues to keep for future auditions and also to help my writing and I did want some monologues for myself being a black woman. I can't thank you enough, because before I possibly buy the whole book, I wanted to see how long the monologue is and get a feel for it, as usually there not free online. But please keep doing what you're doing for all ages, races etc; I'm glad you had that message at the start and I totally agree, at the end of the day it's a character and you're providing such a good service in showcasing monologues for everyone. Thank you so much for doing this! I have college auditions coming up and I needed a monologue. As a black girl I wanted to find something that I could relate to personally and physically and after reading cockroach I was so touched. Sam Holcroft is a gifted playwright and I can't wait to see what else she comes up with. Love the inclusion great job!

I have an audition with an educational theater that performs for students K-12, and this is perfect! I have been searching and ended up here. I haven’t found the actual script.
