      Yes,I spin my own yarn from one hundred percent alpaca. Love it.

      I do love alpaca over wool in Florida because it wicks perspiration to keep you cool a bit like a soft love child of cotton and wool against the skin... but I only see blends that don't function like this where Lion and other mainstream yarns are carried by franchises.

    Alpaca is my favourite fibre. I love not only their softness, also warmest then wool. Thanks for sharing.👍

    I love how soft, lightweight and warm alpaca fiber is.
    I want to have my very own alpaca farm "when I grow up" 😉😉🥰🧶👍
    I don't like how scratchy wool is. I actually try to avoid it most times.

    I spin their fiber and love it I have hats sweaters scarfs hoodies from the soft fiber and bags rugs and matts from the courser fiber : ) just love them!

    I love alpaca. I have not crocheted with it yet because I am still kinda learning and it is expensive

    I do prefer alpaca to wool...it's softer and often people have less alergies.

    No but I use Alpaca plus they are so cute. We have several Alpaca ranches here in Colorado.

    alpacas are mean, bitey, and love to kill stray dogs, cats, coyotes and they try to kill people they do not know as well
    GREAT farm animals!
    We have 23 of them lol

      Some people even use alpacas and llamas as flock guardian animals!! It’s crazy

      🤣 I do farm tours at Shamarra Alpacas in NZ and we cuddle our alpacas...I do get spat on most days...and have seen them try to kill a baby bunny...but i love them and their quirkiness so much!

    Alpaca is nice but the issue is in color work. rustic wool's do the best job for multi strand color work. Also, for me
    alpaca tends to be too slippery to knit with especially on metal needles.. so again my choice is wool. But, I do
    own alpaca socks from a company and love them.

    yep Alpaca is high quality but Vicuña fiber is heaven an expensive as .... Vicuña clothes were worn by Inca emperos none the less.
