I had breakfast with Bill on 42nd street in about’93. He ate very stylishly. He shared a few stories with me about people you’ll know and of course I r3ciprocated. He was keen to point out his devotion to moleskin pants and it led me to try them for myself. I play so much more comfortably in them now.

From Flushing New York: Bill Charlap has a beautiful touch, is accurate, has a great song lineup and is a fine improviser. The trio is first rate. If not for my fear of Covid, I would have attended.
I was zero days old when I found out Bill is married to Renee Rosnes. I just saw her BURNING through a set at the Newport Jazz Fest In Ron Carters Quartet. I can't imagine what dinner conversations are like!! Wow.
@@henryrugg4971But if he was just born he would have been one day old, not zero days old, unless you have to be over twenty four hours old to be considered a day old. Interesting 🤔
Wow... Looking forward to getting back on the bandstand with Bill later this month.
I just read this. Oh, man! I'd have flown to NY to listen to you guys. Happy Thanksgiving, maestro.
Me too!
