I love so much stuff about physical media. The movies, packaging, special features, all of the awesome people who love discussing films. There’s so much to appreciate.
I stayed here for a whole hour, and it was the best hour of my day. Honestly Bob you're such a staple for this "community". So many people know it. Your love of the art of film and the love of how its delivered to us is something that attracts so many of us that support you and call you a friend or even family. We all understand when you need a break, just know when you take those breaks you're missed, but the ones that matter will be right back here when you are.
I really appreciate all of that! It means a lot man. Your friendship and unwavering support means a ton. You’ve become like a brother and I’ll always be grateful.
New sub here. I am a big fan of action/horror/sci-fi flicks, and have tons of dvd's. I watched one of your "getting to know me" vids and you said you love being bald. Me too! It's pretty common these days, anyway, and I love buzzing my head nice and clean.🥚🥚
I completely agree with you about your comments on the negativity and whining, I just don’t understand it. I am grateful to be getting the release and/or upgrade. Is nice artwork cool, yes, but it’s not a dealbreaker. There are big channels on here that bitch about artwork and they talk about negative comments while being quite hypocritical. I see so many channels tearing down others. I am grateful for all the physical media channels on TH-cam. Have been collecting since the early 80’s. Great channel and I appreciate your passion for film.
I appreciate your comment. I try to keep things as positive as possible but I’m far from perfect. I’ve had my own issues but I’d rather have fun and keep things upbeat on here. It just isn’t fun to always be negative. Thanks for the comment.
Great video. Really enjoyed it. You dont do alot.of them but when you do. There great. Deep rising is so good The hitcher has always been one of my favorites and had a cut case dvd rental forever of it. But got that same edition Ticks was a film i loved and never owned since was so expensive. Until vs released and i dont do alot of day ones but was one i had too. Warrior is a 5 star film to me. An just hits on all levels . I always loved film since i was a kid. But the movie that made me seen it differently was crouching tiger hidden dragon. The story and color and cinematography. Blew me away. Brokedown palace and gladiator are so good . Only have on dvd never knew there was a bluray. First time you recommend to me on a list and i really enjoyed. 1 mile to you. Im the other that knows about that film. Since i tried putting on your second list lol. Alot of Australian and germany and uk artwork is reversible and other side doesnt have the ratings on them. So looks cleaner. I totally agree with the negativity talk and its sickening and has at times taking me out of collecting or showing what i get . As you mentioned im not a format snob and i mostly care what is on the disc then everything around it. We all started collecting for the movie or film. An somewhere along the line it became something else that has become a virus in the community
I totally spaced out on the fact that the reverse artwork usually doesn’t have all the rating symbols. I should turn them around and see if I can get rid of that. I figured you had seen the majority of the movies I had mentioned. Like I said in the video you, Adam and myself have such similar taste. I’d rather find ways to constantly be grateful for this stuff. I loved it from the day I started collecting. We all need to find that little kid mentality in us again. Maybe we’ll find that joy in it again.
I picked up 1 Mile to You on DVD for a buck a few years back and enjoyed it. You and I have a very similar taste in movies. Girlhouse, Gladiator, and The First Time are favorites of mine too.
I’d say you have some incredible taste. That makes 4 people that I know of that have seen 1 Mile To You. My Dad and Joe being the other two. It’s always fun hearing how similar of taste I have with others.
Great video Bob! I totally agree 4k is nice to have but blu ray is still great. I watch most of my movies on a 100 inch screen with a decent 4k Epson projector and it's honestly hard to tell the difference between 4ks and 1080p blu rays unless you're sitting 3 feet from the screen. Nothing against the diehard 4k people though live and let live!
I agree with you about 4K transfers. Yes, there are some that are bad, but most of the time it is blown out of proportion. I just recently watched the 4K of Planes, Trains and Automobiles for the first time. When it first came out people were complaining about it. I didn’t think it was that bad. I really didn’t have any problems with it.
Yeah I’ve heard the complaints about that movie as well. I believe I watched the 4K a few years ago on Thanksgiving and I had no issues with it. But I also don’t see the same flaws that others do. I just try and watch the movie and enjoy it.
@ it’s a Favorite of mine was a little to young to watch when it came out but watched anyway before I got into Collecting DVDs and Blu-rays I was into video games
You shouldn't be so tough on yourself. Just buy a bra. Then you'll feel alot better about how you treat others so poorly 🎉 You only spoke on one decent film. The rest were crap and made this hard to sit through.

Absolutely! I didn’t even cover all the special features. So much to love.
one of the best physical media channels around !!! great video man!
Wow that’s incredibly kind words. Thanks for the support. I really appreciate that.
Great topic, great movies ❤❤❤. I loved Broke down palace!!
Thank you Nikki! I knew you’d like Brokedown Palace!
Good to see you again ❤

Great video, Bob! Love your positive attitude. This is supposed to be a fun hobby, but it's so easy to forget that these days.
Absolutely! When I get away from all the negativity and just enjoy the hobby it becomes so much fun again.
Deep Rising fan club for life!

Great video!

Let’s Go! Yeah I wish my hair didn’t grow back at all. I’d rather not have to worry about ever shaving it. I appreciate the sub. Thank you!
I appreciate you!! One of the good guys for sure! 💙
Thank you! I’ve always appreciated your support and honesty in my comments.

Thank you! Yeah I’ll always love watching movies on Blu-ray. No complaints here.
Wow!!! The very first movie is “Deep Rising” and I have the exact same copy ! lol
It’s a great one!
@ I told you before I wanted to show you what I have in collection lol. Have you ever seen “Blood Moon River?”
@nobodiesreal No I haven’t.
Don’t watch it lmbo😂
Deep Rising is soon much fun.

When you were talking about Crawl I thought you were saying Krull got a 4k and I was like what?! Where? It didn't though.
Oh yeah the two sound very similar.
I need to watch Deep rising
Would love to see stay Alive get a 4k upgrade or even Blu-ray but Disney has the right to it so it might not happen I’m ok with my DVD copy
That’s a fun one. I have the DVD of that one as well.

That sucks you wasted your time.
@bobsblurays i know. Hopefully the next one is more entertaining.
Probably not. So maybe don’t watch.
@bobsblurays i was considering it. Thank you for your concern.
