That, ladies and gentlemen, is the mark of a superb game show. I hope Laurie and the family are to this day enjoying that condo on the Sunshine Coast.
Larry Emdur actually once appeared on an episode of the American version hosted by Drew Carey. He got to call down a contestant and read a plug for an item up for bids. Drew even let him host one of the pricing games on that show, in his case Cliffhangers.
Maybe 3 but over 1/2 million dollars in prizes on the showcase was a lot back in the naughtys but I love watching tpir old school I felt sorry for Larry when pretty muchly when Beverly screamed in his ear I'm suprised he didn't go deaf in the ear these were the good old days when prizes were worth winning and you had a great showcase to play for only in Australia and I'm proud to be Australian and please upload some more when u have anymore to show thank u!!!!
The only scandal was this was like 30 minute big w infomercial the showcase was so cheap and they missed the best bit contestants row plus one annoying announcer called brodie

I know blue bear I watched that episode of tpir when our tpir host Larry Emdur appeared and drew let him call a name to come on down and announce a prize and play cliffhangers this lady Patricia he called to come on down she won a trip to Mexico I think in cliffhangers and plus she won the showcase she got 2 of them she was in $250 and drew kept saying that he was lucky Larry from Australia I loved it that's was about 3 years ago I wonder if drew will invite him again everyone seem to enjoy having him there!!!!

Fremantle would've met him in LA I'm guessing so it was an easy promo to have him make an appearance on the US show and host what he always claimed was the favorite game on his version (Cliffhangers).
I think it would be *perfect* for the primetime specials that come up every now and then. The one change I would make, though (Borrowing from the 2010 Mexican version), the two Showcase Showdown winners would have a spin-off to advance to the Mega Showcase. I don't like the Exact Bid round shown here because Laurie was simply lucky that the contestant just picked the wrong number and missed by one dollar.
