This song was written by the drummer, Roger Taylor…
But since they recorded towards the end of Freddie Mercury’s much-too-short life, it took on a whole different meaning.
This is the last video in which Freddie appeared because he was rapidly declining with AIDS and was extremely ill, barely able to stand.
When he looked straight at the camera and said “I still love you”… it was his goodbye to us, his fans.
When he looked into the camera, I took it the same way.
Every time I see this Freddie's final "I stil love you" goodbye to us all still brings a tear.
It is a beautiful song.
Take a deep deep dive into Queen… you will not regret it !
Freddie was dying at this time it was heartbreaking 🎼❤️🎼❤️🇬🇧🇬🇧you will love queens music!🎼🇬🇧🎼🎼❤️🎼❤️
Life can be so tough, I also reflect on all the wonderful things. Freddie was so brave and though his time was very short by this time, the band said was still his happy self, being humorous and enjoying making music which was the most important to him. Great reaction
Inspiring to many people.
HEY Hon,
THANK YOU for this reaction! Freddie was so BRAVE... This video makes me so sad, I don't watch it very often.
The song is soooo touching.
He was so sick when he did this. Barely able to stand. Sad for us Queen lovers, Freddie lovers. But a wonderful goodbye to us….he did that for US. They have so many earlier songs everyone loves, BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY, LOVE OF MY KIFE, SOMEBODY TO LOVE, WHITE QUEEN, KILLER QUEEN, INNUENDO, …on and on. TY for reacting to this …
Thank you for watching!
You are watching a man that is suffering beyond belief. Freddie is literally dying in this video .
He is the most Beautiful soul God ever created . His Birthday is in four days , so
Happy Heavenly Birthday Freddie . We love you❤
Well said. He is a beautiful soul. And Happy early Birthday to the Legend.
Loved your reaction. Beautiful song, Freddie's vocal and Brian's "weeping, somber" guitar solo. Sometimes this song makes me smile, other times makes me cry with tears flowing uncontrollably. Most definitely is a reminiscent track and makes you think about life. ❤❤
Such an amazing song!
As this was Freddies last song and his last words were I still love you ( on Film) is so beautiful
Agreed
that last i still love you to the camera gets me every time, cause it was his goodbye to the millions of fans
Freddie was dying singing, and every time I watch the last lines, I'm crying. I remember watching for the 1st time, and i knew it was his goodbye song to all his fans, me included. We love you too, Fteddie, always. Rest in peace 🙏 thank you for sharing your wonderful talent.
Well said.
That is why I love Brian May. ( guitarist ) He always serves the song. Never shreds just to show off. ( though he can shred ) I hope if you take a deep dive. You will start at the beginning. Explore their harder prog rock roots. Not just their hits. They touch every genre imaginable. You will never get bored, & you will always find something that connects with you.
We still love you Freddie ❤ thanks for your reaction 😊
This video is so sad it's his last one before he died you can even see it in the band's eyes Great reaction rock on
Great reaction 💛 such a beautiful and sad song.
Thanks for watching!
Freddie's last video with the goodbye to his fans. For me Brian's guitar is crying. All together brings me tears everytime.....😢
Greetings from Germany.
Yea brother u got this song down,Queen touches on heavy thoughts!
Thank you for watching!
Even though he was dying, he never lost that beautiful voice of his.
Freddie was so weak he had to lean on the Piano & other objects to help get through it. It ended up being his farewell song to everyone. He passed away not long after this video was completed. RIP Freddie Mercury!
He could barely stand as he was in so much pain- breaks my heart 💔
Great reaction to a brilliant band with a brilliant song
Massive hit back in the day here in the UK
Classic.
Freddie died not long after recording this so sad to see a rock icon in this way R.I.P Freddie
Yeah, people have told me this in the comment section. A true talent gone too soon.
Freddie was very sick at this time. He sang until the end.
I'm pretty sure it helped with an emotional outlet to get through his tough times.
Freddie was in so much pain at this point he could hardly move his legs so he used flamboyant arm movements and exaggerated facial expressions. Ever the showman, he used this song as a final farewell to his fans
If you want more wistful songs of reminisce, check out "Turn back the clock" by Johnny Hates Jazz "Twenty Years Ago" by Kenny Rogers "I wanna go back" by Eddie Money
