Long story with our Mariyung's, we've been having problems with our Mariyung fleet since 2020, and we got our first sets in 2019 We've had lots of industrial action from the Rail Tram Bus Union since 2020 due to safety concerns of the fleet that they wanted fixed, along with better pay and a few other things that the union wanted. It took nearly 3 years to finally get what they wanted from the NSW government. Our Mariyung's are now undergoing modifications, so they can start entering service from late 2024. They have finally started testing again. They've been testing for the past 6 or so months now. The whole fleet was originally supposed to have entered service from 2019 to 2022. Since 2022, all the Mariyung's have been getting transferred by SSR to various locations in Sydney, Newcastle, Lithgow & Wollongong to be kept in storage. It cost the NSW government millions of dollars to keep the Mariyung's in storage while trying to come to an agreement with the union. Hopefully from last 2024 when the first Mariyung enters service, all of this drama will come to an end.

Wait just a minute! Is that CEY powered train taking coals to Newcastle? That gave me a chuckle.
🎉🎉🎉🎉
I'm guessing that those coal hoppers passing through Bullaburra are side-tippers?
Wish I could tell you Patrick. Someone else who more familiar with the rollingstock will be able to let us know.
