Saying you love Pistachio Gelato some days and other days it smells like soap is exactly how I feel. I think it’s the bergamot and the florals. It smells like toilet cleaner. It’s very overly fresh and not gourmand at all and then other days I like it because it smells nutty and creamy and then the bergamot beats the shit out of my nose. You can’t win with that one 😭
I’m convinced temperature (body or outside, or both) can really change a fragrance. But I haven’t figured out what temp makes it tolerable haha. Also happens with baccarat rouge, it sometimes smells like soft cotton candy when I sample it in store, but more often than not it smells like disinfectant 😅
I tried to like yum pistachio so much but there was always something about it I couldn't get past. It was another reviewer that said it reminded her of Sprite. It dawned on me, yes it reminds me of Sprite which I hate and gives me dish soap vibes. I never have gotten the creamy ice cream/gelato vibes. Only soap with some citrus and a little nutty.
I had few Kayali perfumes (Pistachio and Apple), and they both were very overpriced and shampoo-y. I'm tempted by their Lemon sugar one from Vacay collection, though, but I know I'd be disappointed again. I'm a freshie lover, but even I crave a yummy gourmand now, wearing my Narcotica Happy Dust decant so much it's almost empty. Very tempted to try Superfumista Dolce Nissa (lactonic wild strawberry) and Lemon delight (lemoncello whipped cream), but they are sooo expensive. *(cries in poor)* Very exited for a blind buy video! Out of my numerous blind purchases, only few very successful. Nowadays I try to buy only samples or decants, otherwise I'd be broke
I 100% agree…. It’s nice and that’s about it. I am not buying a full bottle. I bought a travel spray and that is enough for me. I agree also with you on if this was 40-50$ then I would buy a full bottle no problem. Kayali fragrances are to hyped in my opinion…. For their price point.
I picked this up too, its definitely not what I was thinking it would be, based on the marketing, But I like it all the same, definitely one for layering.
I did try the pistachio one in store but it was a day where it wore nicely on me, which is why I decided to buy a mini 😆 Since having the mini, I haven’t liked it as much 😅
I own three or four Kayali fragrances and I like them all, but instead if blind buying this like I planned, I think I'll head to the shops and see if I can have a sniff first. It sounds like something I would enjoy, but I'm not sure if I want to blind buy it!
So far I like it but it's not a love by any means. I find Kayali frags need time to sit so I put it away in a dark closet and will revisit it in a few months. I will say I hated Yum Pistachio at first and now it's a love after the juice has had time to sweeten up, so I haven't lost hope for this one quite yet. 💕
I've only smelled vanilla 28 and eden juicy apple and for the price is a no for me. I am curious about the yums in general and also de oud line and silk santal and not to the point of spending money.
@ ah thank you. I tried it and really love it on me I’m deciding between that and PDM Oriana. Oriana seems to be on sale at a couple dept stores here in America. I wonder if it’s being discontinued. They both smell similar to me. And on me they smell like literal fruity pebbles and yes I like smelling like a bowl of fruity pebbles cereal. 😂
Hit us with a video on your other marshmallow scents please! It's going to sound tacky but l have Chi Chi Marshmallow & although it's synthetic (& actually smells like musk sticks) it lasts all day at $30 price point.
Have you tried layering it other strawberries? It sounds interesting to me but not something I am rushing to buy but there also isn't anywhere I can smell it before purchasing either
I'm seeing a real mix of opinions with Kayali, some say that the sharp alcohol'y note at the beginning just puts them right off and is a punch in the face, and honestly, i'd rather blind-buy than deal with the overpriced kayali hype.

Right? I sniffed once and it was nice and another time it was less nice. Idk i dont remember if i sprayed it on my skin both times

I loved it the first time I used it and now all I smell is baby powder !!

Happy Dust is so nice! It lasts so badly on me though 😩
Also I always love the idea of Kayali scents, but they are generally more miss than hit for me.
it is quite mid, and Kayali is super over-hyped IMO.

I kinda think of Kayali the same way I think of Morphe. Frosted glass bottles are like nails on a chalkboard to me and glass or not it feels cheap ✌️
I picked this up too, its definitely not what I was thinking it would be, based on the marketing, But I like it all the same, definitely one for layering.
I haven’t smelled it but I was disappointed with the pistachio one. Luckily I had the option to try that in store, wear it for a bit and then move on

I blind bought it as well and have pretty much the same feelings about it.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels that way haha
Maybe parfume project pan i hope
Maybe in the future, but not right now, I am enjoying changing it up daily :)
Would love to see a Lataffa round up video from you if you’re interested to make that!
I also blind-bought the travel size from Cult Beauty during the Black Friday sales, but looking at the reviews I think I will be disappointed. :D
If you like the Vanilla Rock Candy, you’ll probably like this one, too. It smell very similar after the strawberry milkshake top notes are gone.

I have had a mini pistachio and vanilla in a drawer for well over 6 months waiting for them to become good... still waiting 😅
@TopNotesofKat 😂😂 I thought I was the only one who doesn't like Vanilla 28. Glad to know I'm not alone lol
@@melissap7369 its so bland! why does it smell dusty in the dry down? haha
@@TopNotesofKat 😂
I love it! I’ve found that if I spray it 3-4x in the same spot, it lasts ages. Just takes more. Your lipstick is soooo good! Which one is that?
I've only smelled vanilla 28 and eden juicy apple and for the price is a no for me. I am curious about the yums in general and also de oud line and silk santal and not to the point of spending money.
I’m just curious if you’ve tried Kilian Love Don’t Be Shy. It’s fruits marshmallow and rose.
I have, it is ok, but it is a bit cloying for me. I LOVE Kilian Princess, same marshmallow with a bit more freshness :)

I have tried to layer with what I have but no great combos just yet 😅
Just saw someone say they they used up 48ml in 9 days. I don't know how that's even possible.
Haha! I did see that! I think it was from making/selling decants?
@@TopNotesofKat no. Only 2ml went to a decant, and the rest she wore. My mind is totally boggled by it.
Oh wow! Maybe because she needs 50 sprays for it to last all day haha
@ that wouldn’t surprise me. Most Kayali don’t last well on me.
