- One of those fantastic days of metal detecting unearthing a great collection of finds, a bucket list coin, silver and possible medieval artifacts. I cannot ask for more in this day.
The good luck of metal detecting is back on my side and hopefully to stay a long time in my adventures in search of history and treasures around the historical fields of Scotland.
Join me in this adventure back in my permission !!
Hope you enjoy this episode!
All the best,
Simon

Jolly good day. Both coins are in great condition. Days like today makes you want to go again.
Exactly, thinking in those fields many times 🤪thank you Don!
I think the "Clasp" is possibly Roman
Thank you, yes I see several suggesting that. Much better then if eventually is Roman🎉
Well done my friend,a good hunt.

Yes, really good finds, loved the farthing. Back again soon!
I’ve got to say Si, the George 1111 is in a remarkably good condition for 203 years underground, love the clothes fastener and sixpence well done
Yes that coin is a beauty, it has to be a silver of same age nearby 😅🍀 thank you!!
Nice day Simon. Don’t know if you had any hobbies before John introduced you to metal detecting, pretty sure they are a thing of the past after today.
Well my main hobby was diving, still missing it a lot, I didn’t do much since I arrived to Scotland. Very busy to keep going several hobbies at the same time, so yes now this is my main hobby because of John 🤪
Hola Simon it looks like you had a good day. Great finds, perhaps something for the museum. Much Love Mate
Yes was fantastic, hope to repeat it again 😅 yes I think one of them needs to be checked by the museum. Thank you!☺️
Some nice finds today, Simon! Love your enthusiasm! Thanks for taking us along on your dig!
Glad you enjoyed the adventure! Yes those great finds gave me a boost in confidence 🎉
Great video, some lovely finds! The George 4 farthing is amazing! I look forward to the next video. Brilliant! 👌😊
Glad you enjoyed it Charlie!! Yes I didn’t realize in the moment such a nice coin I found. One of my best at the moment 💪🍀🎉
What a great day Simon. I love the George 1111 coin, and the sixpence, or, as I remember when I was a young boy in the 60's, the 'tanner'
"The 'Tanner' . . . Some attribute it to John Sigismund Tanner (1705-75), a former Chief Engraver of The Royal Mint who designed a sixpence during the reign of George II (r. 1727-60), whilst another theory is that the name comes from the Anglo-Romani word 'taw no' meaning 'small one'."
The lead artefact is really very nice, I wonder if it might be a gaming piece, or, with the rear having the squares pattern, a medieval bingo card 😂
It's great to see you having a fabulous day, and long may they continue.
Thank you Martin! Nice info! Yes loved the farthing specially. Back again soon to the same field
@@thespanishdetectorist Looking forward to it 👍
Definitely an area to return too Simon, and some excellent finds coming from there. Hot spots are always great fun to find. Well done Mate! Cheers!
Absolutely Wayne, I will return several times more to the hot spot . Still wonderful finds to come up I think 🍀💪
The clasp at 20:00 and at 28:10 does look very much like a mushroom. 😄A magical kind.
Yes exactly 😅😂 but hopefully is more a relic than a metallic mushroom 🤪
