We have worldly Christians and those who have come out from among the world to be set apart just like the Jews had Hellenized Jews and those who refused to be assimilated but to keep following God's instructions. We all need to decide if we will follow traditions of men or to follow God's instructions. As for me and my house we will follow Jehovah.

Thank you for yet another great teaching! Hanukkah is a beautiful feast and a great reminder (and teaching opportunity to the children) of the days to come, and that we need to cleanse our own temples and prepare to meet our King 👑❤️ My family and I have been celebrating Hanukkah (and all of Yah's own feast days) for about 10 years now and blessings truly comes with doing Bible things in Bible ways.

I really need some prayer. I have a lot of chronic health issues/ fibromyalgia. I’m fighting but tired. I need more energy to continue to raise my kids to turn to YHVH. Right now I’m struggling to hold on to my faith to hang in there through the health battles. I haven’t been able to teach Bible study for my kids for about a month due to exhaustion, mentally and physically. I know you guys have had a lot of struggles but also miracles. Please pray for me. Thanks❤

I’m in Missouri. I don’t have a lot of good days, and those are marked by a fight to get a few loads of laundry washed or loading the dishwasher, or visiting with my oldest daughter who is married with a newborn. 4 of my 6 kids are still at home, but teens in various stages of jr high to just last spring.
As far as religion, we focus on the behavioral part of Torah. I teach about the feasts and what they mean, but I’m not physically capable of doing more than marking Passover with a scripture reading and meal with my family. We try to keep the 7th day sabbath, but I have been so exhausted, and my husband won’t always step up and lead study because he’s working a lot of overtime this time of year because of his job. (UPS driver)
My kids all know Yahusha/Jesus and most of them study on their own or at least come and talk with me frequently about everything from theology/ doctrine, to how prophecy in scripture might play out. Just depends on what they are having thoughts about. It’s been made very clear that each of them is responsible for developing their own personal prayer life, study, and relationship with YHVH. I can teach but can’t walk it out for them.
I spend a lot of time praying because I can do that no matter what my physical body is capable of. I do struggle with the desire to do more but I just physically can’t get to a body of believers to fellowship. Prayer to lift the physical exhaustion and the mental exhaustion and just be able to be at peace and either function well or rest well. To have a feeling of being recuperated and ready for a day to just have fun. But it’s all a battle to just find a few minutes to of mental normal to even be in the same room with my family and be able to interact without my nervous system freaking out from over stimulation. It would be so nice just to sit in a room with my family and converse and laugh and participate and talk. But I have to take a lot of breaks and often have to wear headphones just to screen out background noise. Fibromyalgia just sucks. It’s hard to explain, but it’s having the body aches and exhaustion of the flu every day. Over doing things makes it worse. Mine has never been well treated just because I have a lot of weird reactions to the medication that most people are able to take for it. I’ve been fighting this since my 17 year old son was about 6 months old. He is number 4. Thank you for asking and I appreciate it you read all of this. It’s a lot to put into words.

Hannukah Is a Jewish holiday but Jesus Himself was also Jewish. Jesus came to bring us all together because we are all essentially the same no matter what geographic location of our origin or whatever religion categorizes people to be. It's important to remember that religion is a man made concept when you think about it. Jesus said to follow Him, not religion. He had issues with religious people too, The Pharassies that ultimately plotted to kill Him because they wanted their religion and traditions to stay. When people ask me what religion I follow I say I don't because I only follow Jesus. To make it less confusing to the average person I categorize myself as a Christian because the New Testament is about following Christ. Hannukah is also a Holy day that Jesus celebrated in scripture. So yes, Hanukkah is a Jewish holiday but He also celebrated it.

@@PassionForTruthVideo I agree the point is we do learn we are to remember him in scripture was not saying just Passover but used it as a reference since Hanukkah is not taught and mentioned in John only that Christ attended the festival. Actually his birth as you mention is the time to celebrate Christ's birth and as you say Hanukkah is based on the rededication of the Temple after they took it back. It is also since they were not able to celebrate the Sukkot at the time the rededication and celebrating what they did not Hanukkah came to be. It is considered a lessor holy day and should be a time all rededicate their lives be it to God or to each other. It is a beautiful time and tells the struggle and sacrifices made in order to be free to follow their walk with God. Something even in this day and time we need to be reminded to stay free and have those rights to worship as we see fit we must fight for it or have it taken away. to me the I and II Maccabees should have been included in the Bible for it is a part of the 400 years between Old and New Testament as well as it shows Daniels prophecy of the Persians being conquered by the Greeks and controlling Israel.

@@DanHutchings-xx7ug it actually doesn’t even say that our Messiah celebrated it. He walked on the porch. He probably was at the temple quite a bit. He was surrounded right away by an angry mob and then he ended up fleeing so they didn’t stone him to death. I don’t see anywhere where he actually celebrated…. And yes, the celebration in Maccabee was because they were stuck in caves during tabernacles… there were many places in scripture where the temple was rededicated so why this specific time?? I find it odd that it falls around the solstice🤷‍♀️…. Also some research which I have not verified, showed that a form of Hanukkah was being celebrated before the Maccabean revolt….??? I don’t condone people for celebrating Hanukkah but as for my family, we would rather stay on the side of caution and we stick with the commanded set apart part days….

I'm just wondering why a lot of your recent videos/teachings are featuring a lot of excerpts from the chosen series. Especially since that series adds to and takes away from the Word, which you even say we are not supposed to do.
I have learned a lot from your teachings, but feel that using excerpts from that show takes away from the message.

    • @PassionForTruthVideo
      @PassionForTruthVideo  15 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +4

I'm confused as to why anyone would have a problem with showing a clip from The Chosen. We show clips from other Christian sources as well. Displaying a clip or image from any source does not equate to condoning or endorsing the creators or producers behind that content. Our goal is to illustrate specific points being made, making it easier for people to connect with the message. It's not about adding to the Word of God, but rather enhancing the creative elements.
As for The Chosen, it is undoubtedly the best series ever created in terms of its authentic portrayal of first-century Jewish culture. Even in its treatment of the Torah, it elevates the material far beyond any other Christian production. The personal beliefs of an actor don’t matter to me near as much as the message. There is not one of us that are righteous or have every belief correct. God used pagan kings greatly to advance His message through Israel. If we only accepted actors whose beliefs matched a particular group’s expectations, we’d never have high-quality entertainment that effectively portrays the biblical narrative. For example, Mel Gibson, a Catholic, produced what remains the most authentic and powerful depiction of the crucifixion ever made in the Passion for the Christ. It’s not for us to judge the person-that’s God’s job. What matters is the message.
      Hope that helps!--JIM

I, too, have learned alot from Jim's teachings, that were before his return to ministry a few years ago. In fact, it was his teaching "And He Rested" that led me and my husband to Torah. I am so, so grateful that he put out those videos years ago! I have much love and respect for for him, but sadly, I must say that my respect for him has diminished a bit, since it seems like he has watered down a lot of Truth after he came back into ministry. It is very disappointing because I was so excited when I found out his ministry was going to start back up. He was my favorite Torah teacher, but the watering down of the truth is too much for me to watch a lot of his content anymore. Very sad!!

I have emailed passion for truth ministries, and many other pastors, who have gotten away from the mainstream traditions and Customs that became known in christianity, and have gotten back two more of our Biblical roots, but I can't seem to get an answer. My question is this can we truly believe that Daniel 9/27 is about an antichrist, when it seems that for around 12:00 to 1500 years it was taught to be about the Messiah, with the first 3 1/2 years of the final week ending with Christ's death, in the second 3 1/2 years ending with the stoning of Stefan, for years I read the scripture and it didn't seem right, I started doing some research and I found many things it does seem that the Seventh-day Adventist teach it this way which I do not believe in many of their doctrines, but I found this prior to learning that they taught it on my own, I don't know if I'm reading it wrong but I don't particularly care for a lot of futuristic end time beliefs that came around only between 5:00 and 7:00 years ago after the Catholic Church needed to shut down the accusations of the Protestant reformers that they were the Beast / Antichrist, all of these things are things that we are not taught but they are easily able to be looked up if you have the time to dig. I don't want to read scripture wrong but I also don't want to read it as man has been teaching to read in the scripture because Satan seems to have entered the church long ago when Pagan Rome became papal Rome, and I truly feel that anything that came out of table Rome should be sincerely considered and possibly dismissed. I have little trust in anyone or anything of this world, as I see that all of the great and glorious things that God created for us like a wonderful food system that has many protective and Curative properties in it, have been replaced by counterfeit systems like our food system that is highly toxic as well as our pharmaceutical system which may be more toxic than our food system in many ways. It seems like for every great and glorious thing our creator created and left for our own benefits Satan has designed a counterfeit that is harming us, putting separation between us and God, and making us too much apart of the world. I truly believe all the divisions and differences within Christianity are because because no matter what doctrines and teachings of the Catholic Church always make their way back in because it seems to be that the flesh desires them, and more and more churches over the centuries adopted things they didn't originally start with because people were leaving and going to the places that did have these things, Christmas is a good example of this and now you can rarely find a church that does not have a Graven image of baby Christ laying in a Manger when he likely wasn't even born in something like a Manger or a barn, as archeology has shown that the houses of that time predominantly kept the animals in the lower level and the living quarters on the second . Truly seems that there's nothing new Under the sun, history has once again repeated, and if we look closely today looks very much like many times of old, and we were emphatically told to be in the world but not of it, yet so many churches down play this and if we even simply stuck to God's way of eating and remembering how to grow and locate our own food when we come of time to not buy and sell we won't be so lost at what to do , though I absolutely believe God can and will provide everything we need but he also tells us to remember his ways and to be prepared, and we live far too deeply in this world reliant on the system's created around us. Please be kind as I have spent my entire life running from church to church looking for the true church, only to realize that we are the church, and it is not a building or place, and those that are standing behind the pulpit are just trained up in a place where they are taught what to read in the scripture and perhaps never told parts of history that we surely are not taught in the indoctrination camps we call schools, turns out just when I thought I was well versed as a Christian and still couldn't find out why things didn't feel right I didn't feel connected to god, turns out it's because I wasn't reading the word for myself and now as a truly Born Again follower of christ, back to being an infant in christ, it seems that scripture is not really taught by what it says especially when we start to look at what it says in the Hebrew and Aramaic texts call Mom and I began to see why they worded certain things the way they did in English because it fit what we are to believe. I do not claim to be 100% right on anything as I find that difficult because we are so far from the day of Christ and the apostles and Satan has had a lot of time to play around after all he knows the word better than any of us so who better to enter the church and twist it up?! Please kind answers and encouragement only, as I judge no one nor do I mean any condemnation for anyone's beliefs, we are all trying to serve Our Father in heaven and follow our savior to the best of our ability until he returns for us or we see him at our resurrection. May God bless and keep my brothers and sisters throughout the world, and may God have mercy on the world and help each of us continue to do Christ work and Lead as many to him as possible in these Final hours. Shalom shalom!

Hanukkah is not a scriptural holiday. And the people who call themselves Jews today should not be followed. They are modern day Pharisees. The book of Esther was not even found in the Dead Sea Scrolls. She was never mentioned in the New Testament. We are to do the seven feast as clearly outlined in Leviticus. Let’s not add to the word. And of course do not celebrate the Roman holidays. If you want a more in-depth study of this check out the TH-cam page of the god culture.

Why the book of Macabees is not in the bible?
Why celebrate if Jesus did not. In John 10 says Jesus enter the templo during this dedication festival. Furthermore we are call to celebrate only God’s feast. It would be just to replace one pagan for other lesser?
And I understand we need to have the stand Judas Macabee had, specially in this time we are.

Hanukkah, it’s just another version of Christmas. It was not celebrated in scripture by Jesus. John 10 verse 22 is not about Hanukkah. It’s about herods annual temple dedication.
The temple dedication was usually associated with a census, which is probably why Jesus was there.
The Maccabees are the ones who defiled the temple, they removed the Zadok priesthood, and defiled the priesthood in the temple. Not Antiochus. Jesus would never celebrate the Maccabees taking over the temple and defiling it.

Is this a suggestion that Yeshua was conceived in the tenth month of the year? Highly inaccurate, Hanukka is not within the spring or fall feasts of YHVH, which are a prophetic shadow of redemption through Yeshua. This is an interesting commentary about Hanukka, but more studies are needed on the chronology of redemption through Yeshua.
    Blessings.

Makes no sense that you can celebrate all the days that lead to His birth but not celebrate the actual coming of our Lord of which the Bible gave prophecy & fulfilled it & angels rejoiced & prophets came as well as the magi & the calendar was even changed due to His birth. This anti Christmas movement seems to be anti Christ as they are siding with people who are trying to stop all mention of Christ.

It’s not about NOT celebrating His birth… it’s about how and when that takes place. Yeshua was most likely born during Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles) that year and therefore some choose to celebrate it then but without anything that is borrowing traditions from paganism.

The issue is about the date and not about His birth itself. Jesus was not born in december and there are many facts as proof.
And today His birth is also celebrated with many pagan objects and the day itself by origin is also a pagan holiday.

We VERY MUCH do celebrate His birth....at the time He was actually born. We have over 500 people at our Passion for Tabernacles event each year that celebrate His birth with worship, food and fireworks!

@@SGOV86 there are not many facts as the date was set by those closest to that time. They think it had to do with His time of death & that supposedly prophets died on their conception date & given that it definitely would be in December. Plus the average temp in Israel for that time would be 50 so they are not necessarily out in the fields during snowfall. People were there because of being counted for the census. I know we still don’t know for a fact but there are many who realize that the church fathers from the beginning acknowledged the Feast of the Nativity. Just because customs you don’t approve of are done does not make Christmas pagan. Look what they have done to the rainbow & marriage & male & female. The enemy will always try to take over what honors God.

You are teaching a LIE..... YEHOSHUA was born 6 months after Yohanan the immerser making HIS born around Yom Teruah to Sukkot. This is why my minister husband and I LEFT the Christian church and went 6 years to Yeshiva school. Then teaching REAL BIBICAL TRUTH.

Where is the lie? Jim Staley teaches the same. Being conceived during Hanukkah would place His birth around Sukkot.
